- I was honestly so shocked and scared at first. It still doesn't make sense that there is a literal child growing in my body. This is freaking crazy, but i'm SOOOO EXCITED!!

My wife and I found out around the same time you guys did that we're pregnant, but I wasn't there when she found out she was, she told me later. Seeing the look on Abby's face when she just glanced at the test gave me an idea of what my wife must have thought at the time, and I appreciate you sharing that. Best of luck to you guys❤️

Sweeties, you are adorable. My husband and I struggled with infertility for many years and had a few failed attempts at treatment. We ended up adopting three beautiful children out of foster care. I would never in a million years expect anyone else not to take joy in their moment on my behalf. Love each other, love that jelly bean and have a great time!
And then there's the sweetest person ever, Abby, making sure to mention that others struggle with such miracles. Congratulations a million times to you both and your family! This is the first video I’ve ever seen from you guys. I just have to say - my husband and I had a super similar experience. I have PCOS and was also told to start trying a year before you’d really want to be pregnant. It took 2 months for us and I was SHOCKED. Honestly, that shock lasted my whole pregnancy as weird as it is to say. I knew I was pregnant, felt her moving, heard her heartbeat at appointments, got stuff for her, everything you do to prepare but I still had this mental block that was born of pure shock that it happened so quickly and I felt not ready at all. I relate soooo much to you saying you’re happy but you feel really weird about it. When I had my daughter I had to be induced and I about went into a panic because I thought I had 2 more weeks to prepare. Lesson one of being a parent: nothing is within your control now 🤣. My labor was rough but honestly enjoyable, even the pain. When my baby was here I cried and I was SO happy of course. But that shock was still there and it felt completely surreal. I had been in labor for 2 days and was exhausted, trying to breastfeed, my husband and I were totally clueless on what to do, neither of us had even changed a diaper. The next 2 days we spent in the hospital were exhausting (for me) because my baby wanted held all the time and I couldn’t sleep at all. When we were discharged 2 days after birth it was probably one of the most terrifying/exciting days of my life, I just couldn’t believe they were sending us home with the helpless being to take care of when we had no idea what we were doing. I was still in shock that I had a baby, was a mom now and even that I had been pregnant. I’m not gonna lie, my postpartum time was HARD. I didn’t expect that either. I’m not saying this to scare you, but I have been you exactly! Please keep an eye on yourself and your mental health during pregnancy and especially once you have your little one! I know the shock of it happening so fast contributed to my bad PPD. I thank God I have an amazing husband who supported me even when he couldn’t understand what I was going through, and I was out of the thick of it within a couple weeks. My daughter will be 2 years old next month and she is the light of my life, the reason I wake up every day and the answer to every prayer I’ve ever prayed. But wow was the initial shock of her a doozy that lasted for a long time! Please reach out if you would like someone to talk to that has been there. You have got this and you’re going to be amazing! Congratulations!

It’s 100% okay to not feel totally joyful at first or feel weird or like icky and scared. I’m 4 months pregnant and I felt that way for the longest time until I seen the little baby on screen ❤️
It is totally normal to have mixed feelings which are all over the place, especially during the first trimester, even when you have planned and wanted the pregnancy. It is a huge change and there are a lot of hormones too! God bless you!

As one of the people who struggles to get pregnant I can honestly tell you I appreciate it so so much that you mention how for some people it's hard to get pregnant. Infertility is a struggle and when people acknowledge that, it makes the struggle better

I'm glad to see someone I can relate too. I felt bad for how I felt. Not feeling that instant picture perfect motherly connection and full acceptance of what is going on; all rainbows and butterflies. I felt like I was already failing but this is all part of the process.

Being scared is a TOTALLY normal reaction Miss Abby. I'm a mom of 3 (my first 2 being 10 years apart in age) and each time I've been a bit scared. It's because you understand how important this role you're about to take on IS. The fact that you're a little afraid says to me that you're probably going to completely rock at motherhood sister!!!!
