Been growing peppers since I was nine. With my grandfather, and he never did this. So I never knew about it. Did not know you could do that I just been starting new pepper plans every year
Thanks! I don't even remember where I originally heard about it. I think a friend of mine in Florida told me about pepper plants that stay outside and kept growing and it sent me down a rabbit hole
@@libertyhomestead Nice! Yeah, I had no idea but I love the concept! Need to try it next season. We're already frozen here in northeast Wisconsin... 👌🏼🤓
Depending on the size of your pots, you can overwinter 2 to 3 plants per pot. Put each rootball in a Walmart or Dollar Store bag with dirt and set the bags next to each other in the pot. Fill the pot with dirt to the tops of the football's, then make sure the tops of the bags are open and folded back. Continue filling the pot with dirt, and then prune and store like you said. The bags make separating the rootballs much easier when resetting next spring. Love the content. Keep it up, and give LT a big hug for helping Momma.
Yeah I was watching Liberty baby holding onto the bucket 244😂 she started falling asleep standing up so darn cute but thank you for the information I love peppers😮 so I will see you on the next one😮 and happy growing😂
That is the hard part for me Ms LD. Pruning back those beautiful healthy branches... but like roses... it's for their own good, (that is what I tell myself), hahaha.
I heard that tomatoes and potatoes are nearly the same plant and you can graft the two together to make a topatoe plant. That could be a cool trick to try.
That is really interesting! I'm wondering if you couldn't just keep them in the pots all year round? I would think it'd be less stressful for the roots, no?
You could! I grew some in pots and some in big totes last year. The ones in pots I didn't repot. Should have kept track of which was which to see if it made a difference
good stuff as always LD and LT! have you given any thought to sunchokes/jerusalem artichokes? I've been reading up on them and I guess they produce like crazy.
We make a pretty good team! But having to stop for snacks and getting her when she runs off or stopping for snuggles means this video was originally 2 hours long
Keep the great content coming. You and your family have a beautiful and blessed week.
She is getting so big . God bless you all.
She is. Thank you!
Thanks DOLL
I like how the boss indicates where you should cut when she points at it with a stick.
Reminds me of my grandson.🙂

I didn't know about this technique! I'm watching again! Thanks for sharing.

Not a bad idea! I'm out of pots and still have a couple more plants, so I might try that
Great video! I may not be a gardener but it's informative and liberty baby adds to the cuteness factor.

She slept real good that night 😂
Them toddler worms are rough on the garden veg! 🐛
Next year I'm planting extra of everything to account for the random Godzilla stomps and half snacking lol

I didn't prune my tomatoes for that reason...and boy did I regret it. Will definitely be pruning next year!
Cool tip
Glad you liked it
Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
Thanks for watching!
Liberty doll, would you mind doing a video on your gardening “apron’?
I don't think there would be much to tell. It was a Christmas gift from my neighbor, I didn't make it myself

That would indeed be interesting...I also learned this summer that there are tomatoes designated as "potato leaf" tomatoes

here in Phoenix, I have the opposite problem, how to keep them cool and protected from the sun in the summer.
Shade cloth is all I could think of
I buy rolls of it every year. @@libertyhomestead

Interesting. I'll have to check it out. It's not something I've ever eaten beyond a restaurant meal
I am wondering how much you have to edit out when the patience wears thin with the Liberty Toddler.

never heard if that
When does soil transform into dirt! It's always soil the other side of the pond 😂
Soil, dirt, same difference I think
@@libertyhomestead we never refer to it as dirt, however if you play in the soil you do get dirty!
will this work on hot peppers too?
Yes, it should!
thanks for the info@@libertyhomestead
