@Rachel O'Leary how about attempting your Nannostomus espei as a breeding project. ? I am going to attempt Nannostomus Beckfordi this summer in a tub filled with some Java Moss, Water hyacinth, some Sensitive Plant... --- I am about 3 weeks behind your weather conditions and have just now started to warm up enough to do tubs. Thanks for all you do!
Just moved fish out to my tubs yesterday! I have been constantly checking your site for those long finned white clouds to be available. Love those fish!
I kind of accidentally got into tubbing this year! There were some toad eggs on our pool cover this spring and I decided to try to raise them. I emptied out a 40 gallon bucket that we use for laundry and filled it with Roobios tea and put the eggs in, not expecting too much. Now I have like 200 tadpoles that are THRIVING!!!
I guess it depends on what temperature the water in the greenhouse tubs is getting to. If you're looking at low to mid 80's, Phoenix Tetra might be an option or Apistos, the Gertrudae Rainbows would probably also do fine.
Love the growth on the plants! I really like the the choices of plants and fish for the various tubs. Thank you for taking the time to teach and explain everything to us! What if you place a pair of your wild Bettas in one of the warmer tubs? What about Neon or Cardinal Tetras in another Tub?
Love water iris. Sugestion: pygmy / Dwarf Rasbora (Rasbora maculata) bearly an inch in length. Temperature: 75 -- 79°F/24 -- 26°C. Found a few at the petshop, have a dozen more ano the way through Ebay. They amaze me. So tiny, bearly an inch in length, they actually school together from one side of the tank to the other even when it's not feeding time.
you could put some japanese ricefish (medaka) in the greenhousetubs if you can get your hands on them. I got mine recently and i absolutely love them. you can get them in different colours and they can take temperatures between 4°C up to 40°C. (40 to 105 degree fahrenheit) greetings from germany
The plants look great Rachel! Hopefully this year will be better for fry. Things are really looking good so far in greenhouse. Have you heard from Greg or Ed yet on pond?? No sensitive plants this year...😄😄. Thanks for the updates Rachel, really looking forward to see how it goes. Have a great day Rachel. 👍👍👍
Definitely want to see aquatic planting and fluvalfloating island planter. My first pond ever is now started...rice fish will be in soon. Appreciate getting more names.for the plants you have, that's really useful. I actually may have misheard what the product name was for floating planter? Happen to know the name of taller red plant in the tub with your white cloud minnows?
I’ve setup my first tub... it’s a 100 gallon Rubbermaid with water hyacinth, water Lilly and some giant duck weed, and some guppies. I live in a VERY hot part of Arizona (Lake Havasu City) and the tubs water temperature has already hit 86 degrees. Should I be concerned? I’m running two sponge filters.
Your tubs look so nice!! Definitely a project I want my near future!!I'm trying to get the time to get over to your plant channel.. I got some orchids for Mother's day and definitely need some help! Thanks Rachel for all you do!👍🙏♥️🐟🌱🌿
Have you tried to see what you would get by combining the long fin white clouds with your special ones with the yellow? Maybe you could put a couple females of one kind with males of the other and hopefully get your special ones with long find.
Could you do like cardinal tetras in the greenhouse? I have my shrimp tubs set in my very large tubs to control heat so they don’t get crazy in Texas Think it’s better if they get hotter ?
Any kind of endler's guppies would do great in the greenhouse tubs. Or you could try some ember Tetras too. The fry grow slowly, but they like breeding in warmer temps.
Looked everywhere for your sunset loosestrife. The only one I could find was one plant that was a Persian chocolate loosestrife. Very happy with. The stems and coloring are great.
You have inspired me to try a "tub" this year even though I have no idea what I'm doing. I have a 130g galvanized cattle trough. I live in a similar climate as you (Chicago). What would you suggest I try as far as fish and plants for a total newb. Newb as far as plants go. I've been in the fiah keeping hobby for 40 years give or take, but I have always done big cichlids that don't really allow for plants. Small fish are a bit of a mystery for me. I'd love to find a way to do a small waterfall. If I manage to pull that off, would you suggest additional aeration? If you've already covered all this, a point in the right direction woukd be appreciated.
Hi! Thanks for your all the teaching.. if you give a try for Aquaponics herbs and veggies like lettuce, coriander for your any tank that would be awesome
I'm wondering if Zebra Danios would do okay in a pond, I currently keep my Zebra Danios, WCMM and some Shubunkin and Koi together in a 29 gallon for over wintering and since this virus I haven't gotten to put my fish in... I have had the shubunkin and koi in the pond, but I have 2 turtles occupying it with about 8-10 rosy red minnows and 5 comet goldfish (feeders) turtles are not interested in the slightest... only the plastic bag they were in when they were acclimating...
Hi Rachel.. a suggestion. Put the Swans Filth album on really loud.. have a shot a beer another shot and wait... 5 minutes. Turn up the Swans. Now... make your decisions. You're welcome. ;)
This is an excellent video. This gave me a lot of ideas. Did you say you use a solar air pump ? If so. What kind did you use and do you suggest it. I have three set ups out side. But no electric hookups. I have been looking for a descant solar one but don’t want to go broke.
I used to grow cress for my sandwiches, I wonder how many small tubs of cress do you need to have a constant supply? You could maybe set a grow your own food for the next apocalypse challenge...
So as I was cleaning one of my fish tanks I trimmed some java moss and decide to throw it into bucket that's been sitting outside and collected a bit of rain water water and had some mosquitoes larvaes that I collect to feed my fish. A few days later I was surprised to find some fish babies. Its been about 3 weeks now and they still striving and getting bigger. No filtration only rain water and some water from my well irritation system. Now I'm not sure what to do?
For one of those empty bins maybe get some bolivian rams and see if they would breed for you in there. and id be interested to see a review of the fluval plant basket thing.
You could maybe put some ember tetras in one of the greenhouse tubs I played with the idea for a while but I thinks I'm going the saver route with some white clouds :)
I am always so excited with your summer tubbing! So cool and definitely goals. I was curious, because you mentioned it, do mosquito bits brand for bti harm shrimp specifically neocarodina?
@@RachelOLeary thank you! You are awesome! 💙💙 I can't wait to see the progress again this year, an I love the video footage under water! I hope you do more of that this year! Sooo cool to see!
How hot does the greenhouse get? Maybe some Ginga Rubra guppies? Love your tubs! Trying tubbing for the first time this year. Hope they go gangbusters 😉🤞
Just going to say this, I have been watching your channel for quite some time and you look GOOD these days! You did before as well, but your daily hard work pays off. 🌼
Can you please name the product you use for dragonfly nymphs? The items I found aren't fish friendly. Much thanks and keep up the fantastic work you do. Stay safe.
I absolutely love your videos... You have inspired me to start my own pond❤️
That is awesome!

Yay tubs! My pond plants from last year made it through the winter in my basement, like you said! 😄 Thanks!!
Perfect!

What about moving the wild bettas outside? You tubs are looking good. I'm planning to finish setting up mine this weekend...if the rain will stop!

I've never been disappointed with any of your videos. I personally like that Laguna one especially.

Love your tubs especially the one with driftwood, makes it look more natural.

I think Lucania goodei would be pretty cool in one of those tubs.
Great video! I especially love the blooms in everything. The water iris is lovely! I think I am getting the tubbing bug!!!

Wonderful videos! Maybe add some wild bettas to a pond?
Rice fish? Can go up to 100 I hear!
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, what about Odessa Barbs for the green house?

My favorite fish tuber 😁👍👍👍
Go more shrimp. The fish don't do as good in the heat. You seid it. I totally agree.

I am so excited for you, tubbing rules.
Thank you Rachel, love your videos! Good job! You're great!
Hi great garden ... how about green spotted puffers for any overage of snails tu
More Shrimp!!!!

Ponds are looking really healthy now. Plus your camera is focus and no buffering

I thought about it, but was worried it would get too warm. Maybe I will toss some out and see how they do. Great suggestion
Did you put out rice fish? Love your videos. So jealous, I wish it wasn’t so hot here. Too hot to tub.
neon tetras and guppys
Looked everywhere for your sunset loosestrife. The only one I could find was one plant that was a Persian chocolate loosestrife. Very happy with. The stems and coloring are great.
Would really love to see that product review and how you filter these. I'm having issues with mine

would you consider tubbing neon or cardinal tetras in the warmer water tubs?
What about German Rams for the green house ??
Do you still have the wild bee shrinp? How about adding some of those wild caught endlers, too?
Babaulti shrimp!
Will you keep goldfish outside in the summer?
How about trying some dwarf cichlids in the tubs?
Lisa you are my favorite youtuber! Your videos always contain useful information. Keep up the amazing work.
Thanks, but i am rachel LOL
Ummm... wild betta? I don’t know what temps imbellis are good with
Cherry Barbs!
Do a pair of Apistogramma in one of the warmer tubs
For one of those empty bins maybe get some bolivian rams and see if they would breed for you in there. and id be interested to see a review of the fluval plant basket thing.
Tried to breed CPDs twice many years ago failed miserably. An outdoor tub might be the solution.
Nice!
Some tiger or black bar endlers would look great after a summer in the green house.
Maybe you could try your Phoenix tetras on the green house ?
Bettas for one of the greenhouse warm tubs??? just sayin =)
An a aposto trio in the tubs in the green house ?
You could maybe put some ember tetras in one of the greenhouse tubs
I played with the idea for a while but I thinks I'm going the saver route with some white clouds :)
Rams for greenhouse tubs?
Cant wait to see those babies whitecloud!
Did you get any baby from your cross you did?
How about Epiplatys annulatus
What about elder guppy’s
SO EXCITING ! Will it be possible to submerge a gopro into these tanks for some footage of all the thriving colonies ?
Absolutely
👍💓👍
I am always so excited with your summer tubbing! So cool and definitely goals.

totally shrimp safe

Can I use sea salt as medication for my freshwater fish or does it have to be strictly table salt?
How hot does the greenhouse get? Maybe some Ginga Rubra guppies? Love your tubs! Trying tubbing for the first time this year. Hope they go gangbusters 😉🤞
What happened to the gold fish tank.

What about the green neon tetra?
Why don't you try Epyplatis annulatus in one of the tubs?
What the plan with the goldfish from last year? Are you going to throw them in a tub?
have you ever found tadpoles in any of your tubs. I am trying to get tree frogs to breed in my tub.
Sounds Like Jenny Is creeping around LOL
