Gary!!! Merry Christmas! In a previous installment of your Yarnie Adventures, you showcased purchases from Aberdeen's Wool.... then Mz Crystal shared hers.. I just myself some goodies! So Thank you!?🎉🎉🎉 It's chilly in Ontario too!
I love all the yarns you purchased my favorite would have to be the emerald green and I love the yellow 💛 they would look awesome together. Thank you for sharing 😊☺ 😊 ☺ ❤ 🙏
I recently purchased yarn from Temu..it’s really nice yarn! I was happily surprised😊Thanks for sharing the pretty yarn you purchased! Merry Christmas to you and Chad🎄
Love the scarf. ❤️ I like the way you blended all the different colors together. It looks very warm. For your first Ragland sweater, it looks so professional. You are such a creative person 🧶
I have tried Temu before, they're very good with time delivery and prices. Thank you Gary for your review and you chose great yarns, my favorite ones you got are the jade green and that dark purple blue! Merry Christmas from Vancouver ❤
Merry Christmas Gary, Chad and Pixel. I live in Ontario and while watching your video, I was hoping and hoping that you would let us look outside. I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas. Love from Audrey, ❤️🇨🇦🧶😘🎄
Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas to you and yours. LOL! If I had of opened the horizontal blinds - you would have seen our BBQ and outdoor table. Not the nicest of settings.
I think its so cool that Chad is into curling...saw it live once, I swear, the fans were rabid!! 😂😂😂 Tried to look up "yester fiber" for you, Google didn't know what it was either. 😉
Hello Patti! So good to read your message. I've been made aware that the "Yester" fibre was a typo and part of the word was on another line and it should have read "polyester".
Gary, I love your hat and I subscribed to Tori and will have to try real hard to find her pattern after I’m done watching your video and I love the scarf and have never heard of that stitch but I am going to learn how to do it and make one also, it is so beautiful. I really have to learn how to net one of these days because all the knitted things you do are awesome and I would love to make sweaters that are knitted also. ❤
It's fun to explore Temu (talk about falling down a rabbit hole!). I've gotten some really fabulous tools and yarns but also a few duds. I recently bought some yak yarn in lace weight. Hate to pair it with another yarn because you'll lose the luxurious feel. Should've bought more😂. Admire your scarf. You are truly a master in mixing fibers and colors! Take care my yarny friend
I'm like you when buying online. I like a small amount to sample, so if they're duds I'm not out of pocket. I wouldn't buy the Romantic Country Camel Sheep Yarn again, but the Mohair blue/teal with nubs and the Mohair brown/coffee - I'm embarrassed to say - I've already got more.
Hi Gary- I haven’t tried temu yet but those yarns look interesting and had some nice colors - Good tip about the price fluctuations you may see there 👍🏻 I also like to use over stitching to add interest/patterns to my crochet- I am a fan of the mohair sampler scarf you did.
Hi Gary, you peaked my interest with that “yester” fiber. It actually is polyester fibre. The “po” is on the prior line. A very strange splitting of the word. 😉 I’ve seen other crafters use mohair and the items are gorgeous when blended with another yarn. The thing that makes me afraid to use it is the fuzz/fluff flying around while working with it. I’ll be curious to hear about your experiences with these new yarns. Have a lovely holiday with your family. ♥️♥️♥️
Hey Gary, new subscriber here. Loved your review and honesty. Thank you very much for sharing. I do love the tweedy yarn. Also your scarf on Hank was awesome!
Thanks so much for this review I’ve been looking at Temu’s mohair’s but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. FYI avoid the yarn they call squirrel it’s like Brillo on a good day
Thanks Amy for that tip - noted not to go for the Squirrel yarn (I think that may be similar to the Romantic Country Camel Sheep yarn that I gave a 2 out of 5 for not being soft).
Just to let you know Crystal sent me to check out your channel and I like what I see so I subscribed and click the bell icon. You seem like a cool person. Looking for to watching your videos and trying your crochet patterns I am not much of a knitter.
Hello there - Welcome! I'm glad that you left me a message. I hope you like the content and come back. Here's to a new year and may 2024 be a great one for all of us!
Hi Gary! I still haven’t tried Temu yarns, but you’ve really peaked my interest. I love all that you got and appreciate your honest review. Happy Holidays and a Blessed Yule to you Pixel and Chad🎄
Nice Temu yarns! I found the scarf behind you quite interesting. Combining the yarns and doing the weaving on top of that created a nice rustic look which I like very much. I wish you and Chad and Pixel all the very best of the holiday season and a blessed new year!🎉🎉🎉
Love all your yarn! Love the mohair with the nubs! Have never seen anything like that! Can’t wait to see what you come up with for that! Loving knitting with you in the morning!
Hey Gary I sent you an email about the romantic country yarn. I got a dark blue color way but it has an iridescent green sheen to it. I immediately thought of you. I personally thought what is got was pretty soft and I agree about weight. I’m going to put it through my yardage meter to see how many yards they are. The hat is super cool. 😊
Hello Mostley - You got some of the Romantic Country in a wonderful green. I don't know what I'd make with mine as well, but I wondered if mine was coarser than yours. I was thinking I'd need to make something not to be put directly on skin. Perhaps a wash might soften mine a bit.
@@urbanyarn it’s not really green it’s blue with and iridescent green sheen. It’s difficult to describe. As far as the roughness goes. Maybe we got something different or maybe it’s the same and you and I are different. Either way I still think you’d love this color. Have a great Christmas :)
Love the scarf and hat. However the sweater is gorgeous! Unfortunately I don't have the patience making clothes. I dont trust Temu, I don't know why. I prefer ICE yarns even though shipping is high.
I'm not sure. I do find that the yarn is not especially lower in price. I can find many of these elsewhere at the same price, but I do see many other items that are somewhat heavily discounted.
Good morning Gary, I've never tried Temu but the yarn you got makes me want to give it a try (could be very dangerous for me lol). That blue with the bits in it is my favorite. Take care, I hope you have a wonderful day.
Gary, I feel like there was a printing error on the label for the "yester" yarn. Make the "c" in "pc" an "o", add an "l", and then connect to the "yester".
I've noticed you've begun filming in what sounds like your kitchen instead of your yarn room. The echo makes it very difficult for me to understand you because I wear hearing aids which focus in on the echo. Yes, I use cc but it is not always reliable. Do you plan on going back to you other room? No echo there.
Hello LLKay6 - I'm so sorry that the space I recorded in wasn't the best for sound. I will be going back up to the yarn room for the next video now that Chad is back from his travels.
@@urbanyarn thank you for taking the time to reply. I'm learning that hearing loss has some unpleasant challenges, echoes being one of them. I look forward to future episodes from your happy place. Wishing you both a very Merry Christmas.
Gosh - the blue mohair is gorgeous 💙💙
Marry Christmas to you and Chad. May it bring you Joy and much happiness.
Hi Gary loved all the yarn you picked. Hope you have a great day 😊😊❤❤
I really liked the denim look mohair the best Gary
Love to see what you make with those yarns.
Gary, I love the colors that you choose to work with. The brown of the sheep/camel yarn is beautiful. Your podcasts are inspiring.
Hi Gary love how your hat looks on you. And the scarf Is gorgeous. I love green also.
Thank you so much!
I love that scarf you made.
Thanks Gary. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year 🎄🎄🎉🙏🏻🥰🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻

Hello Gary . Wow I do like the more hair yarn. The blue and the brown. ❤ them . I guess have to check them out . Thank you
This was a fun box of fuzzies - I cannot wait to use them.

Thank you Joyce for the compliment. I had many hours of practice leading up to the first sweater with knitting scarves and hats.
Love the two that are your favorites and am looking forward to seeing what you do with them if you share that.
Again that scarf on Hank is BEAUTIFUL 😍. Love your hat and sweater. I really liked the blue donut with flecky bits in it.
Merry Christmas ❤🤗.
Hello Traci - that blue yarn with the flecks and extra bits is my favourite too!
Merry Christmas my friend!
thank you - might have to temu some yarn. Have a very happy holiday season with you, Chad, and Pixel

From Australia. I bought the sheep camel yarn a couple years ago but not sure what to make. I bought 10 balls! Enjoy your program Robyn
Hello Robyn!
HI Gary what a interesting selection you got I have some camel blend yarn coming along with some alpaca Happy Holiday to you Chad and Pixel !!
Hi Lynanne - I hope you get a softer Camel yarn than what was in the collection I received called Romantic Country Sheep Camel - it was rough!
Love the colors. Hugs, merry Christmas

Hi Gary. Hank's scarf colors are great altogether. Nice length. Thanks for showing more varieties of the TEMU yarns. Love them.
Hello friend! The scarf was so much fun to make.
Hi Gary, hope all is well. Lots of colors in the yarns from Temu. Haven’t ordered from them so was interested in your review.
Hi Diane - so far my Temu yarn purchases have been varying. I always do a small sampling first to test. Then if something grabs me I get more.
Greetings dear friend, love the colors I see some handsome sweaters thanks for sharing you are amazing never change.
Thank you so much my friend!

I love the scarf you made! I might try Temu again after seeing your video. I didn’t have luck the first time I ordered. It was all junk yarn 😢
Oh no! I'm so sorry about that. I think the biggest thing with yarn shopping online is that we yarn lovers cannot feel before we purchase.
♥️
Oh gosh Gary that scarf is stunning! You always make the most beautiful garments! Merry Christmas to you!
Thank you so kindly Donna. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
That scarf is gorgeous! I love multicolored items! They’re so unique. Have a Merry Christmas! 🎄✨
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too!
Love the scarf and hat. However the sweater is gorgeous! Unfortunately I don't have the patience making clothes. I dont trust Temu, I don't know why. I prefer ICE yarns even though shipping is high.
I have read that Temu is trying to undercut the competition in order to eliminate some of them and increase their own market share.

That was my favourite too!
Gary, I feel like there was a printing error on the label for the "yester" yarn. Make the "c" in "pc" an "o", add an "l", and then connect to the "yester".
LOL - Thanks for pointing that out. I thought "yester" was an interesting fibre!
If I put 2 strands of the mohair together do you think it would make a 3 or maybe a 4 weight? I can’t work with something so thin.
Hi Peggie - holding two or three strands of mohair that's sport-weight together will give you a light worsted which is a 4 weight.
:)
Yester is a typo for polyester
LOL! It was my bad for not catching on to that. Thank you for spotting it.
Do these yarns have to be dry cleaned?
Hi Carolyn - they came factory ready without any questionable fibres... LOL!
I keep having a hard time posting on here.
I'm so sorry! I'm not sure why that is.
I have ordered lots of yarn and beads from Temu. I am seldom disappointed.
