We got penalized for 15 yards when it was the Lions Hutchinson who tripped Pollard but they called it on Dallas. It's video evidence everywhere. The game was over and that penalty kept Detroit in the game.

refs didn't cheat you out of anything. they called a bogus tripping call on Hendershot. It should have been called on Hutchinson. Had the refs not screwed us, we would have had 1st and 10 around your 10 inside of 2 minutes left. you wouldn't have had a chance for the TD and 2pt conversion had the refs not screwed us first.
Ok, #1) 2 lineman cannot report in as a receiver! #70 reported first! #2) Even if 68 had reported, the play still would not have counted because he was lined up as a tackle and not a tight end or receiver; so there was an illegal formation! #3) They got TWO more attempts to convert; so it’s not like they still didn’t have a chance to steal a win! So Lions, take the L and the #3 seed and be happy!
70 didn’t report though, did you watch the video where 70 was NOWHERE NEAR THE REF and 68 WAS REPORTING ELIGIBLE TO THE REF AND THEN THE REF NODDED AT 68 AND RAN OFF TO GO TELL THE DEFENSE AND THATS WHEN 70 WAS NEAR 68 & 58. I dont believe there is any evidence that 70 reported. Additionally it has been common practice multiple linemen to approach the ref when one is reporting. This is because the announcement of the eligible receiver is given only a few seconds before the snap. So this is done to somewhat confuse the defense. AND TO MAKE THE MATTER WORSE. As coaches do before games, Dan Campbell told the refs that this play may be incorporated and “explained it to a tee” which means he definitely told the ref who specifically would be eligible… this is just horrible.
There were bad calls on both sides and both calls cost both teams the game. If they called the loin on the tripping call, we wouldn't have a 2pt controversy.

Main reason we kept getting the ball to Ceedee Lamb was so he could beat Michael Irvins Franchise record for yards during a season. Irvin had 1600 something yards in a season and CeeDee just broke it last night.

They missed calls the whole game on both sides, which evened out but that call at the end surpassed the others completely. The other 2-pt tries wouldn’t have been necessary if the refs weren’t incompetent
Honestly, Lions left points on the field trying to be too aggressive. Early on instead of taking the field goal, they went for it on 4th down and didnt get anything. On their final play, going for 2 was risky af, and even though i think they got robbed, they should have taken the extra point.

Every major commentator said Lions got robbed. This was a Lions win, 100%.
Idc what people say. i think the Lions were lucky they even had a chance. The fumble by Lamb was extremely lucky. Lamb had control. It just so happens that Lamb was hit by the defender at the one point he was moving the ball from being secure to reaching the ball out to the pilon. (That was a lucky hit, not a skill based hit)
Also, the final drive from the Cowboys, where we kicked a field goal to put up a 20-13 lead, there was an incorrect "tripping" penalty called on the Cowboys. The refs mistook Peyton Hendershot with a Lions defender who tried to trip Tony Pollard. The penalty took the Cowboys from 1st and 10 to 1st and 25 instead of giving us a 1st and Goal (which would have led to another Cowboys touchdown, thus completely sealing the game for a Lions loss)
Lastly, on that 2 point try. The ref did make a bad call, but let's say he did make the right call. Well, you would not have gotten that conversion with that big man catch. The reason why is that whenever a player reports as eligible, the ref has to let the defending team sideline (coach) know. When the ref called #70 eligible instead of the other guy (#68 Taylor Decker) he let the Cowboys know that #70 was eligable so the Cowboys are now making sure they have #70 covered. However since they thought #70 was the correct eligible lineman they didn't cover #68 because they thought he wasnt eligible. Meaning there is no way the refs can say "oops i made a mistake but i guess we have to let them have that conversion even though we completely let the Cowboys think #68 was ineligible giving him a free pass to be wide-open". Like yeah so no matter what you think thst bad call by thr refs didn't just affect you. It affected the Cowboys as well. In fact the only reason Taylor Decker could catch that ball is cause of the refs bad call. If the refs had reported Decker as eligible then he would have been covered and and that pass would never be able to get completed and based on the outlook of the play there was either gonna be a sack or incomplete pass.

Actually I looked it up. there were 11 penalties all game, 6 on Detroit and 5 on Dallas. For 35 and 34 yards respectively. So there were calls on Dallas. The NFL channel's highlights do a bad job when it comes to showing penalties.

NFL Rules 101 #68 CANT REPORT, because #70 Dan Skipper already reported and 2 players cannot report.On top of that, Dan skipper covered him up. If you don't like illegal touching, then it was illegal formation. Either way it was a legit penalty. You may not like it, and I won't argue that the refs have been awful this year we probably agree on that. But in this case, they got this one right. Even the referee on the broadcast said there were 3 penalties on the same play, take your pick. It was a poorly designed play. They should have kicked it and went into OT.
#70 was going in to tell him #68 was reporting, the offense doesnt want to give away who is reporting so they both approach the REF to tell him who is reporting, the ref LIED and said only 70 reported, then why the HELL would 68 laeve the huddle and walk to the Ref? Go check the vods, 68 was with the ref reporting it, 70 was not even there and was jogging over there, it was pretty blatantly obvious that it was reported in and the ref either made a mistake that cost the game in a big way or had money on the game and called it that way intentionally. Either way sucks cuz it cost one team and made for a crappy ending imo. The refs in this game should have their contracts terminated and never allowed to call any games for the rest of their lives.

Hendershot was called for tripping when Hutchinson was the one trying to trip Pollard. It was on Dallas' last drive, and it backed them up 15 yards resulting in a 1st and 25 rather than a 2nd and 3 (or potenital 1st and 10 if they called the penalty on Hutch). Dallas would've most likely picked up the 1st ultimately ending the game not even giving Detroit another chance. All this "Detroit was cheated!" bs needs to stop because they shouldn't have been in that situation to begin with. Detroit also needs to realize that the ref said 70 was eligible. The ref literally announced it. Goff even confirmed in the postgame that the ref announced the wrong number. If you knew that, why not get it corrected? Maybe you don't hear it on the field, but you have to make that clear in that situation and be sure he's eligible. Dallas was screwed on the same thing in Philly, but nobody cared then. On top of that, Detroit had 2 other chances to score and failed to do so. Campbell wanted to be greedy instead of potentially taking it to OT. Tell him to brush his teeth, and quit being hard headed.
All that being said, refs have been abysmal all around the league this year. Inconsistent and terrible with zero repercussions. Something needs to change.

Lions literally left the game in the hands of the refs 😂. terrible officiating for both ends, so why even give the refs time to orchestrate the game? it’s not as though they turned the ball over on their first two attempts. the 3rd time should’ve been where they drew the line 🤷🏾♂️

I understand that call was sketchy but also they failed to throw the flag on the same play that wouldve called illegal formation as well. It wouldve been a penalty on the lions and then two more tries at the 2pt when he couldve just kicked the field goal. The biggest horrible call was Mike McCarthy not running the ball and ending the game on the drive before that final drive.
Also they threw to the player who wasn’t eligible from what i heard so yeah obvious penalty lol
People need to stop saying this. It wasn't an illegal formation. There are 7 guys on the line and the two on the end are eligible. Basic football rules.
@@mecampbell30 the wideout was over the ball. He had to be off of it and he wasn't. Illegal formation. The ref himself mentioned it as well. Ex-football players talking about it. That it was an illegal formation although it was not called. Commentators calling it out as it happened. If the refs were smart they would've thrown multiple flags and it would've covered them no matter what.
