Just recently bought my first acronym piece, the J27-GT SS15 from Jawnflip, I'm really excited for it. I live in Sweden, where we have a lot of rainy/cold seasons.
@@thewornwellstyleandtechwea3050 Honestly, it was the price. Got a really good deal on it. Was not really looking to spend over a 1000, which is hard nowadays. It was also the fact, that my curiosity peaked and I wanted to experience Acronym for the first time. And see what it's about and test it out, to see how durable it is over time.
@@kenzolr9373 could you check back in and review the jacket in terms of durability and performance? My brother lives in Montana where it’s very cold, and judged the brand because of its overlap with so called “streetwear” culture, rejected the brand off the drop crotch of the trousers they sell without giving the amazingly over-designed jackets a fair shake, but was clearly curious. I don’t live in the cold, so I cannot vet the jackets actual performance in snow and rain, if you see this comment let me know how you like to it jacket in the Sweedish winter, over other brands.
@@andrewheermans3009 I do see your brother's perspective. But you don't have to turn to Acronym to get proper jackets for the cold or rain, that's why you have options like Patagonia, Arc'teryx, Fjallraven & The North Face etc. At the end of day, clothes will degrade with wear despite whichever brand you own. For me Acronym, their cuts and fit really suits my bodytype. In terms of durability, it's pretty subjective to anyone's use case. I don't own my J27-GT, J1A-GTPL or J1A-GT, because personally I've come to terms that I really don't like hardshells or Gore-Tex Pro. The design and performance are good as you expect, but not comfortable for me like other fabric materials. It's just my preference. I prefer Infinium/Windstopper with primaloft insulation. Mostly in Sweden it's more cold than it's raining. I like my jackets to be more versatile when it comes to wearing it year round and not owning a hardshell to wear couple of times when it's raining. Durability wise I would say it's pretty good, but I've only worn my J68-PL for 1 year and it has been holding very good. I've been wearing it consistenly a lot. Would I take Acronym over any brand, yes. It's just that good and you'll understand when you have lived in one long enough. But does that mean I will only buy Acronym, no. That's why you have options, as I stated. People think too much about brands, it's just clothes at the end of the day.
You model clothes, accessories, etc with ease and flair,so gorgeous too.all worn well indeed!
Nice review on the Jacket. Looking forward to more reviews. 👌
