  • Hey guys, at the time of this video (March-2023) I didn't see any review in English (Only one in Japanese), probably because this T model is still new. This is a quick review - without getting into any PC connectivity.
    In this review I am using a DJI Mavic Air defective battery pack as the load, by charging the 3-S cells directly - bypassing the BMS.
    This is not a BK Precision, Sigilent Technolgies, HP, or other big-brand names. But, definitely meets the needs of a home workshop bench, and a nice value for money tool for the HAM / Amateur Radio shack / workshop.

    Thanks for putting this video out. I bought my unit at a flea market, and of course it did not work even though the seller said it did. Every time I pressed "output" the settings reverted to zero. When I took the cover off I found a large copper coil was not inserted into the circuit board at one end of the coil (coil was leaning over like it had received a jolt in transit). I popped the coil leg back into the CB slot, and hey presto, a working unit, at a cheap price! The leg looks like it had not been soldered, so maybe unlucky for this unit, or maybe poor QC at the factory

      Thanks for checking it out. Lucky you! Got it at a bargain. I bought a second one. Got it a bit cheaper as it was an Amazon return. Took a risk, and it's working well. The price will definitely go up as it becomes popular.

    Does anyone know how to save settings to Memory buttons (M1 to M6)
    Mine forgets everything when I power off. Thanks!🙏

    • @PremMenon
      @PremMenon  8 місяців тому

      Yes. Double click the M button, quickly set the Voltage, and double click again. Be quick in setting the Voltage as it times out quickly. Same thing with current too. If the above procedure doesn't work for you then talk to the supplier for a return/refund.

    Is it possible set current constant instead of potential?? I am doing experiments and I would like to keep the current constant and the potential can be changing. How I do that?

    • @PremMenon
      @PremMenon  2 місяці тому

      @@Dessa280810 Yes, it's possible - and easy. Use the I-cc button for that, and use the rotary knob to set the current. Save it in any memory for recall. Procedure is also in the manual. Good luck!

      Procedure to set 1V at 3A (in M1 memory):
      1) Short press M1 once
      2) Immediately use the rotary knob to set the Voltage to 1V
      3) Immediately short press "Next"
      4) Immediately use the rotary knob to set the current to 3A
      5) Immediately press "Esc" (to save).
      Hope this helps. I just now tried, and it works.
      Thanks for checking out my video.

    how easy is it to remove the handle... I want to stack a multimeter on top but the handle means I can't...

    • @PremMenon
      @PremMenon  6 місяців тому +1

      I have not removed them so I don't know if there are nuts inside (must be). Otherwise, just 2 screws holding the handle. If there are nuts on the other side, you'll have to open the case so the nuts don't fall inside. Not difficult.

    Hi thanks for the video , I've just bought one of these for electroforming I need to set it to 0.2V 0.05amp in Constant Current when i do this it will only go to CV mode and the Amps disappears from the display , do you know how to get this to work please?

    • @PremMenon
      @PremMenon  Рік тому

      Thanks for checking out the video. Yes, you are doing it correctly. The set current shows 0 when you enable output, and will show the actual current drawn by the load - if/when you connect the load. Try to save your settings in one of the memories.

      7 months late but if your plating cell resistance is too high, then you may need a higher voltage than 0.2V to achieve 0.05A of current. If you set your current limit to 0.05A and the voltage up excessively high like 5+V, then it will automatically drop the voltage down to whatever is needed to push 0.05A.

      @Koctya_Koctun Okay Kostya, I'll check the marked frequency on the XTAL used in my unit, and will report back. If not today, probably by your morning tomorrow. Hopefully that's also 25MHz.

      @@Koctya_Koctun Hello Kostya, Y1 (XTAL) on my 2 units are marked 24MHz.
      I just checked both against a stopwatch, and both seem to run about 10-11 seconds faster for every minute (on my stopwatch)! So, there's definitely a problem there.
      If it's a different reference designator you are referring to, then please tell me the ref-designator (Y2?, Y3?). However, it's unlikely this will have more than one XTAL.

      Сейчас открыл кожух и да, там кварц Y1 на 24МГц. Спутал, уже два года прошло. Уточняю, таймер ошибается в 1,2 а не в 1,25 раза. Версия платы: P_Show_V3.11 20210520
      Огромное спасибо за информацию! Уже нашёл пользователя у которого та же что и у меня проблема. Если ещё не одели кожух, пожалуйста сообщите версию платы управления. Возможно разные прошивки. Ещё раз спасибо!@@PremMenon

    How to set it in constant voltage mode?

    • @PremMenon
      @PremMenon  5 місяців тому

      Whatever Voltage you set is in fact constant. It'll reduce only when you exceed the set current - as in a short-circuit.
