Great demo! I loved the way you handled the reverse echo: I'm having trouble getting it to sound nice when using synths, but after listening carefully to your video, I think I managed. Keep up the good work! :D Cheers.
+Philip+ Thanks man :) The reverse delay is my favourite on this! i also think they voice the tape, digital and analog delays well! I heard that this is based off of the TC Electronic Flashback delay.. so hopefully i can get my hands on one to do a comparison :D thanks for watching! :)
The analogue and tape delays do sound warm and great. I think I have to experiment a little bit with the envelope when using a synth with the reverse delay. Did your unit also offered as much resistance to plugin the cords as mine did? Cheers!
I just got mine and I'm very happy with it. I saw in other video they have DELUXE written in the pedal, is that the new version? Do you know what is the difference? Thank you.
I bought 3 pedals today thanks to your amazing videos. Thank you so much for bringing such enriching, simple, concise and informative content. You're the man!
Hi All. I bought one of these and there are a few things you might like to consider before you buy one. 1. Tap tempo works fine except for a couple of issues that make it impractical. Firstly, it makes a loud pop as you enter tap tempo mode, secondly to turn the pedal off you have to leave tap tempo mode. So here's what happens, you step on the button for 2 seconds to enter tap tempo (POP!) and tap out the tempo, all well and good. Then when you want to turn the delay off (say at the end of your solo), you have to stand on the button for 2 seconds to exit tap tempo mode at which point the delay time then reverts to a preset delay time (which presumably is not correct which is why you entered tap tempo mode in the first place). Now you can turn the delay off. All in all this delay sounds great but it is just useless as a tool on your pedalboard if you want to use either the looper or the tap tempo function. If you are just looking for a basic delay which you manually set the time then it works fine. If anyone from n-UX is reading this then here's what you need to do. 1 after the tempo has been tapped out automatically revert to normal button function after say...3 seconds. 2 Make the looper able to stop and start once a loop has been created. Then this pedal would be awesome instead of just seriously average :-)
Great demo man! keep it up! could you tell me a bit more about this pedal's build quality? I am really interested to go grab it but it seems too good to be true
I don't have this one... but I have the NUX mod core and the build quality is fine. Haven't noticed anything being "janky" or poorly built. China is getting stuff right these days... so many good products (both music related and non music related) that are good quality at insane prices.
I just ordered one myself. 35 bux. Haven't demo'd it yet. But ya... I've had probably 30 pedals or so throughout the years. I'm pretty confident on this one. Can't wait to get it!!
im still learning..the reverse echo is eerie..and tricky as well. it is as well built as a boss por other pedales. sounds good. madre of aluminium alloy por something. loop ...al for 23 dollars. aliexpress. trust me. amazing, good built, echo pedal for years.
Is there anyway to set a tempo with the tap tempo then be able to turn it off? Cause if you set a tempo it blinks and you have to hold it then push it again
I don't think so.. not unless to reset the tempo with either your foot or the time knob.. I cant quite remember all the functions of the pedal and I don't own it anymore.. have you tried reading the manual on the NUX website?
Hi brloo, how about the tone of guitar ? Change or no? Because some delay pedal change the original sound from guitar. And how about tap tempo? It's accurate or no?
I need to know, does the looper copy the sound of another pedal? like a fuzz or a distortion? for example: I activate the loop while using a distortion pedal and then I turn off the distortion to play something else with another effect, is the looped guitar still distorted? nice review btw
Hello Ryan, another smashing demo.Question, do you ,( or anyone ), know the difference between the basic Time core and the Deluxe version..Not sure which one to go for...Cheerd as always , Howard.
The deluxe series pedals have updated algorithms so they are tweaked differently when you get them out of the box, they also have a USB feature so if NUX release new algorithms you will be able to change the sounds in the pedal and maybe even go back and forth between new and old sounds like their mini pedals range I'm not sure about the last that though :) hope this helps!
It's got a metal casing.. feels like it could take a beating.. I had mine for about 7 months then sold it to fund other pedals.. I've still got the Mod Core though had that well over a year no problems :) I'd ask around on forums maybe get some opinions :)
Hi there! Is there a way to record a loop using other pedals like an overdrive. I seem to be seeing only videos where folks Loop dry guitar sound. Thanks man, nice demo!
+Che Guebuddha I mostly play ambient guitar while looping.. but i have had a go using this with distortions and overdrives its a lot of fun jamming over your own backing track :)
Che Guebuddha you can record distorted loops :) you just need a distorted pedal before this pedal.. then once you have recorded the distorted loop you can turn the distortion off and jam over the recording.. if you wanted delay you'd need another delay pedal :) no problem! hope this helps
Ok thanks man I will order this pedal now. Its pity one cant record the delay from this one but that can be done as you say with another delay pedal.Cheers!
I noticed a bit of self oscillation but how crazy could this thing get? I'm contemplating buying this as a back up and primary noisemaker to my Flashback x 4 (Which practically CAN NOT self oscillate!). The oscillations that were happening seemed a bit tame compared to the boss pedals im used to making insane noise with. PLEASE SOMEONE LET ME KNOW WHAT THIS THING CAN DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I NEED MY NOISE FIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+mrmatteus no i havent.. :) I was playing an ibanez with active pick ups throughout this video.. ive been asked about distortion a few times with this pedal.. is someone that is saying it wont work? works fine for me :) hope this helps!
Hi, what a perfect video. And also in stereo, like everyone else should. Great job man. I bought one and I think it's amazing for the price. Mine is behaving differently in ping pong mode, when I feed it with stereo input (coming from my stereo flanger), it does not alternate right and left, is always on both. While if I feed it with mini input/stereo output, it does behave normally. Did you ever try it with stereo input?
+Raff seiquattrodue not on the time core.. you can on the time force pedal :) ill have a demo of that out within the next week if you are interested in seeing its functions! hope this helps
I don't have this pedal anymore.. I owned it for a good few months and never had a problem.. I've had the Mod Core for well over a year.. no problems :) I've read a fair few comments about these pedals breaking.. and behringer pedals breaking.. so I'd be cautious.. but I've not had a problem with either brand.. :)
the time core in specific? I didn't have mine for long.. maybe like 4 months? seemed fine though.. I've had the Mod core for almost 2 years and thats okay :)
Time core and NUX TIME FORCE Guitar Effect Pedal Multi Digital Delay 11 Delay Effects. Both sounded really good, I returned both with 3 days as they stopped working. Read a few reviews and yep.... very common for them to break down.
Had the same thing with a time force - broke really quickly and was only ever used at home and not that much either. Maybe these are better ? It's cheap though, so not much lost if it does go belly up I guess.
Great demo! I loved the way you handled the reverse echo: I'm having trouble getting it to sound nice when using synths, but after listening carefully to your video, I think I managed.

Philip+ do you mean resistance to get the cable in with the jack inputs and outputs?
+Ryan Lutton Yes, precisely.
Philip+ they are pretty normal :) some pedals i have have a lot of resistance but this and the mod core i didnt find a problem :)
Good demo man, straight to the point. Thanks.
thank you :)
I just got mine and I'm very happy with it. I saw in other video they have DELUXE written in the pedal, is that the new version? Do you know what is the difference? Thank you.
Im not actually sure.. I have seen the deluxe ones but I don't know the difference sorry! I'm glad you like the pedal though :)
Ok. Thank you.
Great vid man keep up the detailed product demos. Also great guitar playing haha
Thanks man :)
Excellent review! Straight to the point, full of stuff that people need to know and no superfluous guitar god antics. Well done!
Very comprehensive. Thank you for doing this.
no problem :)
Thanks for the demo, Ryan. I love your channel.
no problem :) thanks for the comment! glad you like the channel
thanks for very very good demo!
Merry christmas!!!
+oli25 thanks for watching :) merry christmas :D
I bought 3 pedals today thanks to your amazing videos. Thank you so much for bringing such enriching, simple, concise and informative content. You're the man!
Thanks man! Happy they helped! What did you buy?
@@RyanLutton the beautiful Fender Marine Layer Reverb, the Biyang Tri Reverb and this actual Nux Time Core 😊
Love it! Ambient heaven! :D
Awesome! Can't wait to play with them
my favourite pedal

Charles J Gartner Alright then, maybe I'll go pull the trigger on this, wish me luck! thanks for the info m8
I just ordered one myself. 35 bux. Haven't demo'd it yet. But ya... I've had probably 30 pedals or so throughout the years. I'm pretty confident on this one. Can't wait to get it!!
nice overview! can it do the "stutter" thing on the hold mode like the dd-5/dd-6/digidelay?
thanks :) I dont think it can.. the hold setting is a looper.. I dont actually own it anymore otherwise i'd check! thanks for the comment
im still learning..the reverse echo is eerie..and tricky as well. it is as well built as a boss por other pedales. sounds good. madre of aluminium alloy por something. loop ...al for 23 dollars. aliexpress. trust me. amazing, good built, echo pedal for years.

Hello. Thanks for the video. Can use the pedal with electric bass?
Great Demo.Might get one after this sounds nice,
nice to see a proper demo of this.....how long is the full loop time?... cheers
+100roberthenry glad the demo helps! the full loop time is 40 seconds :)
+Ryan Lutton excellent...thanks, i have the nux loop core anyway, i was just curious,
100roberthenry how is the loop core? ive been thinking of demoing it
+Ryan Lutton its cool...ive done 3 demos on my yt... and built the ''optional'' footswitch controller too....essential for live use. check em out..
100roberthenry awesome! ill give them a watch after i finish this video :)

Excellent, thank you.
Can it do the self-oscillation? Also only in analog mode
+Alexb1096 yes it can :) sorry for the late reply
Amazing demo, the B E S T ever done. Thanks !
Can you use this for a lifetime? Is it easy to break mate? any response would be appreciated. Greetings
It's got a metal casing.. feels like it could take a beating.. I had mine for about 7 months then sold it to fund other pedals.. I've still got the Mod Core though had that well over a year no problems :) I'd ask around on forums maybe get some opinions :)

yes it is a shame! you need a more expensive pedal if you want both in one :) i usually have two delay pedals on my board anyway! no problem man :)
Does this have analog dry thru?
I noticed a bit of self oscillation but how crazy could this thing get? Mono, not mini :)
Is the loop you've created deleted after you stop it? Went through the manual and that's the impression it gave me. (Very nice video, bravo!)
Thanks man! I can't remember but I'm pretty sure that is the case.. I would check for you but I don't have the pedal now.. sorry I can't help more
Hey man , what you equipments yoh used to recording in this video?
Can you get dotted eighth with the tap tempo?
you can :)
+Ryan Lutton sweet thanks for the quick response!
Can i use the loop at the same time with others types of delay?
+Raff seiquattrodue not on the time core.. you can on the time force pedal :) ill have a demo of that out within the next week if you are interested in seeing its functions! hope this helps
+Ryan Lutton thank you,i will see the video😉
Is delay added when loop is on?
I heard the tap tempo wasnt exactly in time, did you notice that?
whereabouts?
How long have you been using this pedal? Is it still good?
I don't have this pedal anymore.. I owned it for a good few months and never had a problem.. I've had the Mod Core for well over a year.. no problems :) I've read a fair few comments about these pedals breaking.. and behringer pedals breaking.. so I'd be cautious.. but I've not had a problem with either brand.. :)
It is durable ?
cool!!
Does it have tap tempo
yeah says it on pedal
16:03 ....Death Stranding...the game feeling :-p
Great tone, but these units break down quickly!!!
the time core in specific? I didn't have mine for long.. maybe like 4 months? seemed fine though.. I've had the Mod core for almost 2 years and thats okay :)
