Fun fact: We see from the external shot of the school that Steve's school is only two floors tall. This means that his teacher fell no more than 20 feet, or about 6 meters for those across the pond. The medial fall height is 48 feet, or about four floors, twice what our teach just took. His suicide attempt is likely to end with a couple of annoyingly broken bones, depending on how he landed, potential paralyzation if he breaks his back/spine, crack ribs if he landed on his front, and only possibly death if he angled himself down to try and crack open his skull or snap his neck with the impact. In other words, what a drama queen, like that fall would even have a chance of dismissing life.

Sounds to me like this guy had a lot of other shit going on...it was the 80s, who didn't, right? Maybe you were a factor, but I doubt you were the cause. I mean, if it were *just* his students, he could have got a new job...or transfered school districts...or taken a few years off to pursue whatever "dream job" he had before teacher...
Or maybe you did. Maybe you guys were a bunch of turds in his punch bowl and he had just had enough. I doubt it, but that does make for a better story.
"whats so great about living" that hits really hard
That diarrhea line hit me hard😅
thats probably TMI...usually makes people laugh when they also have issues or know people with that issue.
I love how Steve sounds challenging when he says, "Oh, is that what you think? Okay, Mr. Brink, here we go."
“So who was president when you were a kid” “oh I don’t know I guess I think about killing myself pretty frequently” 😂😂
This means that after he sings the "Good morning USAaaaaaa" part, all the other lyrics are lies and he's just faking it
Most relatable thing Stan has ever said
There was a splat at the end
Yes, we have ears.
Meaningless march through my empty days, really hit right there.
empty days and yet no where else in the universe can you expect to have it so nice. at least we have oxygen and aren't constantly being bombarded with radiation. If the days are meaningless, then so is the person experiencing them.
make change, do something different, actually be someone
Watch the teachers eyes go from suspicious to terrified after Stan starts ranting about suicide.
I guess he was on the “Brink” of suicide! Haha
*facepalm* ugh, here we go again...
Good one it sounds like Brinks security company
(Pulls out a string of fishing wire) I'm going to deprive you of all your oxygen from your throat with this if you don't get out
Ba dum tsssssssss
You know what really unsettles me?
That deep down I agree with Stan through that subconscious thought that is stored way back in the corner of my brain. Whatever this voice, thought or feeling is, no matter how happy and stable I feel I never feel like I was able or will be able to get rid of it.
Of course the voice of reason is stronger. the conscious version of me is stronger and in charge. I am stronger and in charge!
So I wouldn’t even think about anything melancholic, let alone suicidal.
Unless all the stress gets too much, I crumble under the pressure, can no longer keep my emotions in check and go a step too far, I should be fine.
I’ve got nothing to worry about
This is beautiful.
I was shocked that this was on UA-cam!! I watched the episode and didn’t even bother searching for this part. However!!!!! Someone else feels the same as I do!! What a relief. We’re not alone men!! Keep soldering on. There is comfort in community.
The only difference is, I wake up in a panic. There is NO 5 seconds of peace. Waking up is the worst part of my day. Let’s not give up, but if we do, we do so as bravely as Mr Brink. If ur here it’s because u got a little Brink in u, but I’m with u! Not today brothers, not today. Let’s make it one more day.
I hope things are still going well a few months later
“Anxiety. Disappointment. Diarrhea more often than not.”
His attitude just says “Oh oh
so you want both barrels OK game on bitch here’s the hell I deal with.” And it is gold.
Will , that explain a lot about Stan's personalty......
this is why i will always love american dad
This + the Rick and Morty scene”My life is a joke” go together so well
This has been one of my favorite American dad scenes since I saw it.
"I don't know if there's an afterlife?"
Man, you know a guy who's been there.
abu lahab, no?
Plot twist: Steve and Stan planned this so he could get out of the assignment, but Stan got way too into it and the plan HEAVILY backfired

I love how Steve immediately goes “oh. Alright then, you asked for it.”
Whats more diabolical in this clip then stan just talking suicidal is the fact that Steve is just standing there cold hearted menacingly not giving a damn💀
2nd story window, 4th story fall time, 100th story splat.
I relate to stan
Doesn’t everyone?
@@Crazylegoman3791 No, that's not normal
@@conversationtosaurusrex I was kidding and this was a year ago.
@@conversationtosaurusrex it’s pretty normal for a lot of people
No fucks given by Stan. Father of the year.
Kids: Surely life can't be That bad as an adult, right?
Adults: ...
Why am I listening to this while getting ready for work?😭
You could say he, was on the Brink.
0:35 me when I see kids doing TikToks in public
Mr. Brink survived that fall, and went on to live a happy life, with no diarrhea, working at his local soup kitchen.
"I think you're just trying to get out of this assignment."
"aight, you bouta head out."
"Oh is that what you think" lol that killed me
I love the face reaction of Steve. He don't give a shit about Stan drama life. 😂😂😂😂😂
I like how after the teacher jumps out the window at the end, they all blink in sync
Oh shit they do LOL
Every time I have diarrhea I watch this because it’s happening more and more as I get older
The fact that his answer wasn’t even remotely connected to the question makes this all the more hysterical 🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣
I feel so bad for laughing at this dark humor 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣cause everynow & then I feel like this
