Been beating this quiet drum since his preseason debut. He shows true poise, leadership, maturity, recall, quick decision making, and athleticism. He came in no prep and showed true promise. If he was QB1 and he was allowed to prep properly/timely…this is Purdy. Zero doubt.

He is a good back up, and I hope he gets better and really becomes a good NFL QB. I don't want us to lose this kid I like him. He shows a lot of promise and maturity. He's got good size and the mental ability but he's not an every Sunday starting QB at least not yet. Love his attitude and desire to get better.

With all these new weapons and improvements in the O line and coaching…whenever Caleb gets banged up, Tyson will be ready to step in and run the offense effectively. He knows and runs plays right. He plays with confidence and gets the ball out of his hands quickly. He’s a great developmental #2 QB and A+ locker room guy.

Tyson proved last year that he can memorize a playbook in and out and probably knew it better than Justin ever did. He's the ideal backup to Caleb, and it's a testament to his place on the team when Poles did not sign a QB who would pose a threat to his QB2 status. Rypien is QB3, while Austin Reed couldn't beat Bagent for the Harlon Hill trophy when he was in D2.

IF... Caleb has a minor injury, Tyson could come in and shine. (I like the dude. He looked good last year, never mind the turn-overs. He was a rookie, undrafted, from the boonies. Considering that, he was great) So if he gets a couple starts, he looks great as I think he will, other teams will get excited about him, and the Bears could get a late #1 for him.

Ignorant reporting, Bagents accuracy was great, three interceptions in the Saint's game were all passes that would have hit receivers in the chest. Kmet, Tom Waddle and others said right after the game you can't blame Bagent for Mooney and Kmets bad route running, they faded back in their routes which put them behind the defenders and allowed the passes to be intercepted. Kmet went on to say when your QB's being run out of the pocket it's up to the receivers to make sure and come back to the QB and not fade back. A fourth interception was a caught pass by Mooney that he had taken out of his arms, leaving the interception on the pass to Scott, that was still going to hit him in the chest and if thrown a foot and a half more to the left wouldn't have been intercepted. Not bad for a rookie that didn't have any preseason practice or game reps with the starters, Fields stans kept blaming everyone but DJ for him sucking and said he needed more time and experience, yet expect Bagent to be perfect with zero experience lol. The other two interceptions where caused by DJ running a bad route, he was supposed to turn and come back to the QB at the first down marker, and instead he made a juke and ran up field when the ball was already in the air. The sixth interception was caused by Borom not being able to stop the Edge rusher in the Vikings game, less than 3 second's after the snap Bagent was in his throwing motion when Borom was shoved into him and he was getting smashed in the face. One of the two fumbles were both caused by Borom letting the Edge run right over him, while at the same time Patrick and Whitehair let the nose guard run by untouched. If your going to report shit you should actually do some homework, sure Bagent needs some work but he's hands down better than Fields and Williams sorry asses lol. If not for bad route running and at least a half dozen dropped passes in the end zone, Bagent would have averaged over 250 yrds per game, and over two TD's not counting the TD's from the RB's that only happened because Bagent was able to constantly move the chains.

Also, Bangent has a good chance to be a Raider in the future, reunitng with Getsy. I bet Tyson Bangent will be a QB1 in 2025 somewhere in the league. i bet the Bears eventually trade him for #3 pick.

@41:57....Bleeves lets start by saying I've long supported this channel.
On the topic of getsy....he came to the Bears with no experience as a OC or a play caller. And no record of qb development. That's a fact.
Getsy didn't have experience to make in game adjustments. In game adjustments are key to ultimately keeping the defense off balance and winning games
Keep this in mind ... Getsy was the play caller throughout the game, including the fourth quarter.👈
Also there were better candidates out there when he was hired.

Any average OC can script plays after watching film of the other team. When you have to play chess and adjust to the defense, and you have to adjust to the players you have and you have to coach to their strengths (avoid weaknesses) then that is what will make or break a professional coordinator’s career. Getsy never built off last year’s success. Never played to Fields strengths to start the year and tried to force JF1 to be something he wasn’t ready for. He never really understood what tools he had. That describes a bad NFL coordinator and an especially bad NFL coach. They started off 0-4 and had Justin complaining to the press. He sucked.

Wouldn’t you think they would want to bring a QB guru who had a track record of getting the most out of QBs and also a history of developing new QBs? That was a major check against Eberflus.
