@@naveendennis calm yourself bro, I literally live in Vegas. With the leverage and information that Ludwig has now, especially the fact that he has a PI, Ludwig can force him to ban himself and will know when it’s done. Lud isn’t just gonna let him go around once he gained all this info. Plus, knowing the strip there’s a VERY high chance that even if he doesn’t ban himself the casinos prolly all have him on a blacklist or smthn to keep him out because of Ludwig. It will 100% work out I promise.

I think he messed with the right guy, since Ludwig has enough compassion to give him a second chance, enough clout and intelligence to hold him accountable and enough money that the loss doesn't cause serious harm.
Like Ludwig said that kind of loss is the amount that would have killed or broken most people, but he has enough that he'll be ok.
I really hope Grayson does comply and turn himself in to the casinos. If not, then Ludwig dropping the hammer of justice on him will be justified.
I know of some families that have lost their whole life savings to scammers, and yeah, it ruined their lives. They lost their home, people got divorced, siblings got separated, they went from living a decent comfortable life, to starving and fighting for scraps on the street with debt collectors pounding on their door threatening their lives and kidnapping their children for ransom, or to be sold in slavery or social workers threatening to take the children because they couldn't afford to feed them. Like some of those kids were deeply traumatised for life from being separated from their families or put in real danger or being sold to slavery.
I also know a guy that did get caught scamming for a similarly large some of money, and to this day we don't know if the lung cancer got to him first or the mob, but he did not live long after that. Grayson is super lucky that Ludwig is not throwing him to the loan sharks or in the slammer right away. Like he needs to know what a kindness a second chance is being given to him.

Ultimate Bet (poker Website pushed even by ppl like Phil Hellmuth) literally scammed their entire customer base out of money, owners addresses are known - some island forgot what Carribean or SEA. PPL hired private dicks, took pix of them, etc. Nobody has the balls to do anything outside the law and inside it they are protected due to jurisdictions and bribes. TENS UPON TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PPL SCAMMED. This is small fish. PPL dont do enough because they are not ruined and those that are ruined cant afford to do anything.

The only difference is these are people I have known for over 20 year of my life at that point. Come to find out his dad was actually going through a major mid life crisis and was spending the money on hookers and so he did not have to work. I will never forget the day when I didn't even have money to get home from working 14 hours that day and the weekend I seen them after. While his dad, my best friend through school, and his younger brother were in an apartment I payed for standing in that living room the person who was supposed to be my closest friend told me "It's only money get over it you are never getting it back" after he had just played 18 hours straight of ark survival evolved with no job for years on end at roughly age 24. That number to this day does not leave my mind after not talking to these people for three years now. My number may not be as big but the enormous impact that had on me as well as trusting people has honestly not been the same since. But on a positive note that lack of trusting people ended up leading me to owning my own company now with the logic being the only person I can trust when it comes to money is myself and I've never been more satisfied knowing that I am doing it better than the people before me.

Even if he reports it and he goes to jail, that probably doesn’t really help in the long run. It’s hard to bounce back - especially financially - after being in jail. It might even encourage the scamming behavior after he gets out.

agreed, gambling addiction is actually way harder to kick and more destructive than drug addiction IMO. It rewires your brain completely into constantly chasing that next "guaranteed" win. With how easy it is to gamble online he won't even notice the in-person ban. It's one thing to gamble your own savings away, but its another to become such a slave to the game that you start scamming people out of their money and losing it on your own escapades. Dude belongs in a cell, maybe then his dopamine junked brain will associate the punishment with his actions.

You're right that this Greyson guy will just gamble and scam in other avenues. A gambling addiction isn't the same as a substance addiction, but it's similar in that gambling addicts almost never just go cold turkey. They also almost never stop destructively gambling on their first serious attempt to stop. Online gambling is easier and more accessible than ever now. I don't know if this Greyson guy has the smarts to do online scamming, but I wouldn't be particularly surprised is he does. And if he does, he will likely never get identified because it's much much easier to conceal your identity in online scams. I think Ludwig's heart is in the right place, and his decision is reasonable, but unless he's not mentioning specifics about why he thinks Greyson will actually stop, it's likely that Greyson will destructively gamble and possibly scam again in ways that aren't as tracible. People usually do not succeed in quitting gambling. xQc, Train, Adin Ross, and even Ludwig himself have admitted having gambling addictions that they aren't over.

Trusting someone who's shown themselves to be a remorseless liar is the height of naivety. It'd be a different story if he came to Lud and confessed, but he was caught out, realising he'll always have a papertrail at the casinos (which is also why he's imposing a self-ban; that particular casino's no good for him hunting for marks anymore now he's been flagged as a scammer - he'll just move to a different casino and/ or adopt an alias).
