3:27 The owner probably MAD AF LMFAOO
I rev the shat out of mine all the time for fun lol, these cars are detuned with their rev limiters from factory anyways they put it at 6500 for reliability, but it can still be reliable even at 7200rpm
Man, you overanalyze the cup holders in the glove box like kids over analyzing a 30 second UA-cam video.
The idea behind the "cup dents" that existed for 30+ years date back when people went to drive ins instead of drive throughs.
This car is fun for what it is. It's kinda like a smaller & modern Cressida. I love it. Definitely need to review the 1st gen and 3rd gen IS in the near future! The IS are very underrated cars.
A manual transmission Sportcross IS300 was never sold. If you see one, it is a custom swap. So not many of those to be found, sadly. =/
but did you try the sound system
Lexus, for those who want a BMW but not the stigma.
Ferguson101 I'm in the middle where I can only have one car so I need a reliable family car, but only a few years out from having extra cash for a full on track car. I want something JDM right hand drive for sure.
Two months ago I saw a 2007-2008 BMW that had its whole front part on fire. Probably from the overheated engine and plastics. The owners stood outside and just recorded it. And surprisingly enough, the turn signals nor the emergency lights were on.
I think you mean "Lexus IS350, for those who want a 3-series without the BMW stigma."
I like the cup holders in the glove box.
I had those in 1999 Peugeot 206 and it was really fine. Very sturdy and had a depth to it.
They are pretty common in cheap brazilian/south american cars my 2006 Chevrolet Corsa has them.
Lexus IS350. The official car of "What's beeping at me?"
The cup holders in the glove box could be from the designers, they tend to just modify previous year designs as most of the beginner engineers are in charge of smaller details. If there is something in the CAD data that no one knows the purpose of, they tend to leave it as long as it doesn't cause any issues.
I feel like if this guy sits down too fast he will rip his pants.
That owner is thicc
No. He's fat. And he's wearing pants that are approximately an order of magnitude smaller than his waist. I can see where you might get confused, though.
Snow mode lowers the throttle response and you start off in 2nd gear instead of first, you can actually manually shift from 1st to 2nd in snow mode.
I haven't heard anything positive from RCR in a long while. I miss the days of sarcastic wit with a splash of optimistic criticism. Now it's just non stop negative cynicism, plus the sarcastic funny jokes have been flat for a while now. I hope they get their shit together and go back to videos that were very fun to watch.
The early IS250's actually came in a 6 speed but they're hard to find
Ive driven a 2009 IS250. It was the smoothest, most rev happy engine I've ever experienced it just didn't make any power stock. The 250 with an intake and exhaust sounds like a naturally aspirated 2J
Will take this over a BMW any day!
The reliability makes a Lexus win across the board. I could never buy a used bmw
you guys dont even own a bmw so why are u saying that plus the technology and engineering is alot better so dont even try comparing to bmw coz japanese cars will never beat german engineering
Aight Boom butt hurt BMW fanboy lol oh yeah so you prefer complicated impossible to work on yourself vs smart efficient and has the same outcome engineering?
Jack Heath #1 Still waiting for BMW to make a car like the Lexus LFA.. Well, they can't.
#2 Learn to write. Makes you a bit more believable.
Correct me if I'm wrong but when he asked where would he put this in terms of Infiniti and the owner said M35, shouldn't it be the G35 instead? I think the M35 would be a competitor to the Lexus GS or maybe even the LS,but definitely not the IS
Just curious. Did you use a roller or a brush to paint those paints on?
I'm starting behind the wheel tomorrow any tips?
When are you doing the is300
im 6' 2" tall. is it suitable for me ?
is this a good first car?? nice sporty quick sedan like this one
What did you like least about it?
Hello, Mr. Regular and Roman! Loving your content. Hey, have you heard of the Y-49 CRX curse? I'd love to see a video about the story of the Barbados Yellow. Word is that the paint has killed some workers at Honda.
Ben Well, that's what the rumours say. I only heard of it two days ago as well
I have an 08 250 awd, and I've never had a car that likes to beep at you more. Half the time I have no idea what it is chiming about.
I have the F-Sport Intake and a Tanabe exhaust on my 07 IS350 and it makes the driving experience 5x better. The sound the 2GRFSE makes is so underrated!
U gotta stop going around saying that. We need to keep these from getting bought out by all the douchebags.
Keshav Kumar people are just haters they will try to make fun of a Lexus such as saying that if you can't afford BMW get a Lexus etc etc I'm on my second Lexus now the gs430 I will never get rid of I'll probably just get a GS F the next time but like I was saying people just don't understand how awesome these cars are the exhaust you put on your car sounds great but I understand that haters will just keep hating and never understand because they'll never get into one. I was a lexus technician for 5 years during that time the IS350 just came out great little car the hundred miles per hour in that car and in my gs430 it's like we're doing 65 people just don't understand that
@@dblockreal but BMWs cost half of what a Lexus costs used? Brand New there toe to toe pretty much
Oh, it's so fancy I'm going to need a second monocle!
Is that shirt pink or red?
The door in my 2004 acura tl bounces lile the that but id say its a feature beacuse when im getting in i dont have to close the door :)
NOT A MANUAL
I had an IS250 6MT and upgraded to an IS350 and i can tell you that you wont miss the manual box thanks to the extra power
I own this car. It is amazing and will last a long time. Perfect car for price.
You don’t get out much and drive any performance cars do you?
When I had to get another car I was thinking about an is 250 since they came in manual but kinda need awd and got a crv. I wasn't worried about the 250 being slow.
WTF harshness? Did he have some special aftermarket sport suspension? IS is very smooth compared to e90 etc.
It just occurred to me, the Roman has an album now, so you could bring that with you to test stereos with. No copyright concerns.
Is this car at 170k miles a good deal for $4,500?
The 90's LS 400 humps were the same, they're huge.
hey look rearwiev mirror shows direction you going
Try to get your hands on a 98-00 Lexus gs400, Lotta fun
A lot of Lexus dash melts from the heat. Lot of owner complain to the point lexus ended up replacing them for free.
How tall is the driver
the circles in the glovebox lid aren’t cup holders
It makes the exact same beeping noise as the 2nd gen Prius when locked and unlocked.
I hope you get the chance to review more old cars
Glove box cup holders for the vip tray setups
BME?
Agree about the comfort I have an 08 is250. On short daily drives not bad comfort and smooth riding (which is why I bought it) and on long trips the stiffer handling wears me out. But I still love my baby girl.
I know it’s up to what people offer you and maybe when mine runs good enough to make that long trip from Texas to PA, I’ll offer to head up so y’all can do a review! But I’d love to see a review of the 1980-1986.5 Datsun/Nissan 720 Pickup. I have one and I love it! It’s a bulletproof little truck that just won’t stop. I’ve even driven the 1986.5-1997 D21 (which y’all have reviewed.) it’s nice, but I think the 720 was still way better as far as quality and style. As you said in the D21 video, they don’t make them like that anymore... thanks chicken tax!
It's a very nice 11 year car. Reliable too. More economical than doing the 3 year leases everyone does.
Now you gotta review the ISF
I was actually gonna request to see either a Lexus IS review or a Hyundai coupe so I’m glad this is here
If you liked the M35 you should seek out the V8 version.
Dont use the power mode its slower than the normal one.
What's a BME 3 series? It's mentioned in the doobly doo.
Mr Regular....space cadetting out in the Lexus. "Oh I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I thought I was driving a manual transmission car."
You know what you didnt do is the the peddle dance to turn the traction control completely off
He's got the little stick-on "I don't know how to adjust my mirrors" mirrors.
I would never understand the people who brag so much about the mid rear seat, being shortened by the RWD shaft tunnel. I got wife and two kids and never ever needed to make our car a bus. If accidently we need to put some of the kids friend there, never heard anyone complaining. I want to see and talk to the person, who travels with 4 adults in the car on a daily basis. That's like to get a FWD car and to complain why you can't go off roading. Sure,if you get a RWD platform car,you will get that tunnel,if you will use it as a taxi, get a FWD car without the hump. As simple as that.
S.T T.
Right. This reviewer is a tool box. It's basically a coupe and he's bitching about middle rear seat legroom and cup indents on the inside of the glovebox...on the most reliable sporty car from 2006...that also has the best resale of any mainstream car.
I got nothing but lexus v8s but man I really do want a 3is 😍
Dude's pants can not get any tighter.
SOOOOO FAAAWWWNCYYYYYY
Please review a 2000-2005 Buick LeSabre/ Park Avenue. The most boring (yet kinda-luxurious) regular car out there
My brother has an is250 and I’ve been driving it all week while my Audi is in the shop. And this video is odd af to me cuz the car is so familiar
Is the ride really that rough? I’m considering a 335i love the performance and how it rides. But the reliability really worries me. Was going to look at the lexus is350 but now I’m not sure.
AustinsAutoReviews 335i is quicker up top but this is without a doubt way more reliable and better resales value. Through the quarter they are almost neck and neck. The BMW really takes over after 100mph. Also, this is much, much better on gas.
nallis01 what a load of crap my is350 JDM model destroys 335i bmws all the time especially up top end
Holy shit those are some tight pants. I have a hard time breathing
In Europe there is an IS250 with a stick. It's down on power compared to the 360 but at least IT"S NOT AN AUTOMATIC
Those circles are part of the plastic molding process. lmao
IEATU95 could be there to provide stiffness, maybe to provide big ejection spots. Maybe both.
No, they are not, any mold designer will put any marks like that on the other side which you can’t see
user 59802 I doubt that reasoning. It has to form fit the front interior part it would have been made from scratch.
I like your videos
3:20 and that’s the last time the owner let’s you review or drive his car hahaha
imagine carrying on about the inside panel of the f'ing glove box...
The owner's got the hipster version of the chub n' tuck
My aunt bought an IS250 new in 2009. She loved it up until she had issues with the interior build quality for the past few years. There was a recall for the issues but the dealerships made waiting lists for over a year for owners, so she got pissed about it and traded it in for a BMW X1.
do a review on a mitsubishi gto vr-4
Best money for the entry level, have more tech and much more reliable than German’s competition, owning a 2010 250 🤘🏻
If they made the 3.5 available with a proper transmission I would have one.
when the f is RegularCars gonna do a GTI? So overdue.
Like BME 3 series indeed.
More trucks!
Review the 3rd gen is350!
The M35x is like the Taurus SHO. Large, Luxury-oriented, With a Sporty ride/feel. Lets just wait until you get a 6th gen SHO.
Lexus, so much a better car in the long run.....Owned both
I have a 2017 awd 350 love it.
Do a 2014 f sport model
More Mazdas please! 3/Speed3 ?
I have a first gen and live relatively close to him and have been debating for a long time about offering mine up.
I really wished you could do a review of my partners 1994 Mercury topaz. He got it after his mom passed away in August. And so we use it as a spare car. But sadly I live in Alabama. And that’s a little far from you
One day youre going to make a car throw a connecting rod by always down shifting when youre not supposed to
Damn Mr Regular wtf. You didn't even take the traction control off noodle!!!!
The interior and dash is a head of its time.
That interior was designed in 2006... it's now 2017 and still looks better then some interiors on brand new cars
It's aged very well. Like fine wine ;)
That is true.. Timeless interior design.. Exterior as well
The dash board material doesn't really hold up well. It melts and deteriorates
@@Pbeezy4 Pretty much every Toyota and Lexus from the 2000's had melting dashes lol
@@Pbeezy4 you must have a 06 07 or 08 model.. My 2010 dash looks & feels solid..
