    I'm always amazed by how loose your lines are, yet the image always feel very accurate and lively/authentic.

    Thanks for this tutorial, I loved that you analyzed the "errors" in your drawing, it was really useful! 😊

    I really like the way you did this tutorial! You weren't afraid to make mistakes and then analyzed where mistakes were and learned from them, but regardless of any mistakes made, I still think the end result was fantastic! I'm such a perfectionist, so I admire that you are able to just let go and draw what you see. I need to try this, too. Thank you so much!

      They are fun to draw actually, unless they block you and change the composition drastically. lol

      Me too, I always enjoy following along with your vids. Thank you for sharing your techniques. Often when I pay high price for a course, the instructor is so tight with information they just demo in silence and while I get to see it being done, I don't get to learn the whys and hows. So now I am very reluctant to pay for courses. But you share so generously! Thank you! Excellent instructor.

    I love this vivo - it is so clear and you explanation is se well done. I particularly like the way you showed the difference between your first drawing and the correction that you did at the end. That was so helpful. Thank you.

    Good demonstration,.
    I like the fact you correct your drawing because what ever our own level, an only small detail can change the balance of the drawing

    thank you for this tutorial Teoh, I always struggle to draw cars and bicycles. So I try to remove my drawings, even if sometimes, for the atmosphere of a place that can be useful. I'll train myself. ;))

      Drawing cars will push you into drawing with the right side of your brain. It's good practice. After you're good at drawing cars, your drawing skills will improve!

TFS your knack for teaching is at the top for sure from someone who has been taught through books and videos her whole life.

    I too have stayed away from drawing cars, and other elements in a street scene.
    But you've shown it very well, and the way you get your proportions.. I'm sure you sketch a lot quicker when your doing drawing for yourself.. Thank you so much Teoh, .
    I see you call it a windscreen, here in the states we call it a windshield..
    We teach each other. lol

      Windshield. That's interesting to know :-)

    • @IrisMG
      @IrisMG 8 років тому +1

      British call it windscreen too. Americans call it windshield, but that doesn't mean the American word is the only right one. More people around the world may say "windscreen"! The trunk is called "boot"

    • @mtmeade3
      @mtmeade3 8 років тому

      I watch a lot of car shows on Velocity and they often refer to the windshield as a windscreen, I don't even notice any longer, LOL!

    i was wondering, i watched a lot of your tutorials, when drawing from observation, people, buildings, cars,etc... do you usually start with the contour of the big general shape and then go inside? like you did in this tutorial and others?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  7 років тому

      +Liad Treger For teaching purposes, I teach this way. However, sometimes I do draw from a small area outwards. I actually just recorded a video using this technique yesterday

      Perhaps you can try Adonit Snap.

    • @lido77tooable
      @lido77tooable 8 років тому

      Teoh Yi Chie thanks for the valuable advise..i watched your review about adonit snap.. and i have some few concerns.. I'm more like a businessman more than a snap chatter if u understand what i mean.. i found lacking of a pen clip to attach the stylus to my pocket is something annoying, even with that magnet piece which is a good idea but not practical for me

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  8 років тому

      In that case, you can check out the Adonit Jot Dash 2. It has a clip and has improved from the 1st generation. My reviews for Jot Dash 2 and Snap will be out very soon on my blog at www.parkablogs.com/content/artist-review-adonit-snap-stylus-ios-and-android (currently not published yet).

    There is an odd phenomenon that occurs when I've drawn buildings. That is, within 1 minute of starting the sketch, a car will pull up in front of me. It's happened so many times in a row, even on streets with no cars on them, that I'm beginning to wonder if I'm in the Matrix

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  2 роки тому

      It sucks. So I always whenever possible draw the area where the anticipated car is going to park first.

    Interesting to see how you describe your process, I find instinctively drawing without needing to measure and check is good fun too! Drawing multiple vehicles from different angles and perspectives is a great way to boost your visual memory too - check my recent! :-)
