Belos tests his repaired door, Camila suddenly gets all of Luz's messages and watches them, Suddenly Creepy Lus behind her: "What are you watching, Mama?"
"Do you know how hard it is for me to be speechless?" You're telling me. When I saw that scene, I was beyond shocked and being all "wait, who is that? WHO IS THAT?!" That was such a cliffhanger to close off the episode. Cliffhanger aside, I really liked this episode since it gave us a great new character, more developed chemistry between Eda and Lilith, and I felt bad for poor Hooty at the end.
Well, that was not a complete surprise. It was obvious something funky was happening in the human realm since we saw the letters Luz' mom got. I did not expect a doppelganger from the start, but definitely something dark. If you think about it, the reason someone would benefit from this deception is so obscure at this point, it has to be really twisted. The second I saw Mrs Noceda was not missing her daughter I guessed what I was going to see the next one. Now I'm very impatient to know who is behind this and why, also how Luz and possibly her mom are going to react to the revelation. Is there going to be a confrontation between the two Luz? Or maybe that double is naïve and could be allowed to take Luz' place in the human realm while the real one decides to stay in the magic one. We'll see, but it's going hard to wait.
@@Stormkrow280 Not really a plot twist at this point, since so many people think it's the case. However, it's very unlikely. Eda couldn't make a duplicate in due time, because Creepy Luz most probably popped soon enough to board the bus to summer camp.
Honestly I feel bad for Gwendolyn the fact that her daughter was suffering for years and she couldn't even help her. Talk to any parent and they'll tell you not being able to protect their children is their greatest fear.

Also, I have to say that Owl Beast Lilith looks freaking awesome! (Additionally) despite requiring no movement, the clip at the very end shows superb animation. The shadowing and the shape of the silhouette give off the disturbing feeling we're suppose to absorb from the moment.
Also, if there’s a musical called “Rats” in the Boiling Isles, I hope to God that Luz sees it and writes/directs/produces/stars in the live-action adaptation of it in the future.

This episode actually made the curse *more* mysterious. Where did it come from? The Healing Coven guy said they'd never seen anything like it. And Lilith just *happened* to stumble on it in the Night Market? I'm getting the feeling its origin is more than just part of Eda's backstory.
The color of the curse was red. The only magic we saw as red were Belos and GG's magic. Perhaps Belos' magic, GG's magic and the Owl Beast curse's magic have the same source

Fun fact: Gwen being in the beastkeeping coven allowed her to communicate with the Clawthorne sisters in their beast forms. Edit: Also, for Belos to be the human in Bonesborough, he'd have to be at least 120 years old. (Going by generations, Lilith is older than Eda and both are more than 40 years old, Gwen is at least 20 years older than Lilith, and her great grandmother must be at least 60 years older than her.) That means he'd have to be at least 70 years old when becoming emperor. With this in mind, one theory I have is that palismans contain titan's blood, and when Belos came, he was overexposed to titan's blood, which caused him to age slower, but lose his humanity, so he must continue to consume palismans' titan's blood to stay alive or at least somewhat humane. This may be why if he was the human, he didn't remember the clues he left in the library: because of him slwly losing his humanity.
I once heard someone say that Eda’s curse and the potions where metaphors for mental illness or disability. And holy fuck does this episode correspond with my own relationship to my autism and the meds I take for it every day. I seriously thought I was gonna cry when Gwen said that the curse was a part of Eda and that she loved every part of her. That so similar to how I want my autism to be seen. I’m seriously gonna cry, wow this episode. (p.s. I’ve already seen the episode by the time I’m posting this)
My money is on that Luz Camp being changeling trap. Were you go and a changeling takes your place. I assume the changeling just keep at it. No clue what happen to all the other kids or why they didn't notice Luz never arrive. So my headcanon has whole but is my best guess.
I think the reason that Lilith is bigger and darker in color is due to her being a Crow which are natural enemies of Owls and vice versa, just looking at her Palisman gives it the clue and it fits with the sibling rivalry theme
21:09-21:15, And I Thought The Letters Were A Shocking Twist! Clearly There's More To This "Reality Check Summer Camp" Than We Were Originally Led To Believe!
So I think that Belos is the human Gwen talked about, but over the years, he became mad or crazy from living there. So he "disappeared" and returned as Emperor Belos. I also think that he might have a connection to Luz somehow, and maybe sent Fake Creepy Luz to keep Luz's mom occupied.

This is why I can forgive season 1 Lilith. Her scars ran so deep, it seeps through her consciousness. I bet her Raven beast is bigger because of all of that baggage. This show is all about mommy issues.
I love how the eyes are also not visible with creepy Luz. I love that. Everything about this creepy Luz seems to be completely normal acting. Idk if Belos sent this thing or not. I have a theory that Luz's magic and her insecurities are manifesting this Luz in the human realm. It's not based in any kind of reality or fact it just feels like one of those situations.

Is no one going to talk about the picture of Luz and Camila?! Freaking Adorable!! 💜🍝 Also, remember back in "Enchanting Grom Fright" when Luz told her mother that she would eventually tell her all about her summer experience. She said she couldn't wait and now that there is some type of Luz with her, has this other Luz told her things already (lies) or is Camila expecting and waiting? This makes me all the more excited for episode 10 (Yesterday's Lie) the end of season 2A. "Luz thinks she may have found a way back home. But is she ready for what she'll find on the other side?"
I have a feeling that is when Luz will find out about fake Luz and Camila will eventually put the pieces together and that fake Luz is not the real one and the real one was in the Isles the entire time

See thing is, when the scene with Gwen stealing all the elixirs, i realized that it could (and probably is) depicting anti-vax people LMFAO. Not listening to doctors and using her own ways to help her daughter (like using essential oils like a lot of anti-vac people do). Just food for thought 😧😬

Me : heard about Gwen said about "there a book that he leave it so we can use useful information about it" (it's time for u Amity blight to help Luz ok)
It could also be the author of the "Good Witch Azura" books. I mean why else would the books exist in both the Boiling Isles and the Human World? No one seems to talk about that oddly enough
that's actually really smart!! i always assumed that amity just bought her books from a human garbage salesman like Eda, but the author being a human who lived on the Isles also makes sense
@@jewelminess a-why, a-thank you! *bows* if i knew squat on how to make videos myself i would be a rather...insightful, for lack of a more modest word, cartoon theorist and analyst. I like looking at the lore presented and try to make sense of it in ways that could, hopefully, get me a job writing for some of my favorite series. Like for the pokemon anime before Alola royally f***ed up the continuity, i always knew that the writers saw Ash as older than 10 when the Unova retcon occurred. As much as it was a clearly blatant spit in the face of the continuity, It still made sense in a way. Maybe not to that extent but it was intriguing to me in a way i wasn't able to comprehend at the time. Then i watched Futurama and suddenly it hit me. In futurama a year on earth in the 31st century is 372 days long due to the moon pulling away from the earth thus causing the earth's rotation to slow down, (actual science fact btw). If we applied this logic to the Earth in the pokemon anime universe, assuming that humans have evolved to live longer to accommodate the longer years, and taking pokemon, their powers, and especially their abilities to control things like nature, the size of the ocean, land masses, and even the weather into account. It would make logical sense, even back during the Gen 5 anime, why Ash is still so young. And that's if fans would have gotten over the stupid soft reboot complaints. Granted Ash should not be 10 yrs old still. That much I will agree. So to fix things to accommodate everyone's issues from the networks needing him to stay young to help sell merchandise, the writers wanting to rotate new characters he travels with, shippers not getting creeper vibes from the age differences of him and new traveling companions, and normal fans who have paid close attention to the series, i suggested that for every one of his adventures a third of year passes in universe. His Very First adventure in kanto, his orange island adventure, and his johto journey count as one year for example. With him turning 11 sometime during Johto assuming he turned 10 a few months before going out on his adventure. Hoenn, the Kanto Battle Frontier, and Sinnoh was another year, and Unova, Kalos, and (before all the ACTUAL crappy retcons and continuity problems) Alola would be another. Etc. Etc. Right there i fixed a major issue in the writing using only a proper balance of lore the franchise has provided and real world science. Too many fans can miss that stuff and blame the writers for continuity problems that never actually existed. And ok maybe i wouldnt be a writer per say. But i could help them stay more organized so these issues can stop creeping up regardless of corporate meddling. Because the two things i hate most in story telling are dropped plot points and missed opurtunities
I don't think the Titan is King's father because 1) King is only eight years old, yet Emperor Belos has reportedly been speaking through the Titan for over 50 years 2) King's father was alive when he was still growing inside the egg
That look Eda had when Lilith said "dad". Hmmm, something tells me Eda....doesn't have too much of a healthy relationship with her father. Also, there was another human who lived on the isles before Luz?! Who could this be?! Luz's father?! A male ancestor or relative of Luz?! Belos?! Who?! Also, Creepy Luz is canon?! Omg! Plot twist. I thought this theory would be impossible but I've been stood corrected. What if this summer camp is a conversion camp? What if the camp was somehow connected to the Boiling Isles? What if the camp was a simply a set up that sends parents back clones of their children? It's like the Owl House version of the Changlings. Or perhaps either Eda, Golden Guard, Belos, or Kikimora had created a clone of Luz and wrote those letters. Also, I wonder more of King's father. The way they handled King's character arc this episode of question whether if his father cares for him or not when Lilith called him out saying his father wasn't there during his hatching.
Loving these reactions! Also, side note for clarity, Belos was absorbing Palisman Magic in Season 1 and here Gwen talks about Titan's Blood. But yeah, he could have access to some! But probably just remnant or something since he still needs to build a Portal to presumably get to the Human Realm. His form of Magic is more technological and often involves a lot of organs and flesh, very different from other forms of Magic, so there's something different going on with him that he likely taught the Golden Guard since he's pretty much the same way. Plus, Belos found a way to seal off a Witch's Magic to only be able to use one Track/Coven as shown in Covention, which keeps coming back such as the Abomination Coven Magic Seal Glyph on the wrist of Bump in Escaping Expulsion and the Beastkeeping Coven Magic Seal Glyph on Gwendolyn's wrist in this episode. Those Seals are also very unique. I bet he's taking the Magic he Seals off from them/specializing the Witches for battle and also preventing effective rebellion. Great first four episodes for this Season! Looking forward to next week with the kids from another Magic school and the forbidden library. Maybe we get to see our first Azura Book Club meeting, that hasn't been brought up since Adventures in the Elements! And of course Lumity, heh
_mmMagic. _*__* 🤣 Anyways, I wouldn't rule out a form of immortality via Palisman or overall magical-essence being filled in the eyes - _also referred as "the windows to _*_our very SOUL"_*_ oooohhoohhoooooo_
Bet when that door's opened, all the texts from Luz are gonna go through. Which makes me think Camilla's gonna throw hands with Creepy Luz and then start trying to figure out where her daughter actually is (the scene of her from the trailer).
Prediction, Amity finds the whatever it is in the library and needs to decide "Give it to Luz, make her happy, and risk losing her back to the human realm or hide it so she can keep her Luz in the witch realm"
This episode intrigued me just as much as it did you, girlfriend. Believe you me. And FYI, I only watched this to see your reaction to King talking with Lilith about his dad.
@@abdullahenaya well... Everything what happened now Is because of the Door, that Edna found randomly in the Dirt, that we don't know how old that thing is.
Is anyone gonna talk about the fact amity is going to help luz research about going home in the library, meaning she's literally helping her crush get away and leave her. I feel like that can cause some issues next episode for poor amity.
Yeah im binging your reviews. You know what I noticed? That the more time Luz spends in the Demon Realm away from her mother, the more often she drops into Spanish on a dime T_T like it reminds her of home T_T my heart
Lilith reminds me more in her beast form more like a raven looking thing. Which funny enough is her staff; A white raven which I think is interesting that it matches the staffs. Maybe that’s why she’s so much bigger because she’s a different bird I don’t know.
Momma Clawthorne is a good character and her motivations are understandable, but her quest to cure Eda lead to close eyes on Lilith. I want in the near future Luz to call her Grandma Clawthorne. Luz has grown up ever since the Adegast incident, and I'm proud of her. About that rare material, the Titan's Blood. In the first episode of the Owl House, Eda said that every myth we humans have is cause by a little of their world leaking into ours. So that means throughout the ages, they discovered Titan's Blood and found their way to our world, thus creating the myths? By the time of this episode, Summer's over. That final scene gave me such a chill in my soul. So the rumours about a "Creepy Luz" are true? WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? AND HOW CAN THIS BE ANYWHERE CONNECTED TO THAT SCENE IN THE TRAILER, WHERE CAMILA HAS SOME INVESTIGATION-STYLE BOARDS BEHIND HER? Unless... she didn't make them. It was "Creepy Luz"! I'm so afraid of what's going on right now... This is just me thinking, but I don't believe Belos was the one who created "Creepy Luz". Let's think about it: if he had access to the human realm before, then why did he needed Eda's portal? It didn't make sense! Also, why having the effort of creating a clone of Luz if, to him, the human was insignificant? At the time of Grom, the only one with a known portal was Eda, so one of two things must've happened. Either Eda created "Creepy Luz", or, and this is my own interpretation, Luz herself created, unconsciously, this creepy version out of the darkness in her heart. This version of Luz is but a part of her heart/soul, that has a conscious of its own, and in the near future the two will fight (think of this like Ven and Vanitas, from Kingdom Hearts, or Hikaru and Nova, from Magic Knights of Rayearth).
I got in on the "Belos is human" theory too, but now that kinda feels too obvious. I mean I think there's definitely a link between Belos and this mystery human and it's probably part of the whole "day of unity" we keep hearing about, but now I'm skeptical about Belos being said human. Acknowledge that it could very well be the case, but it just doesn't feel like Dana's style to telegraph her twists like that.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that about Belos. Also, I think what he was drinking in his first appearance was actually the magic bile from a random witch's heart. He must use it to give himself magic power/extend his life.
I don't think the Titan is King's father, the skull is too different. Could be an ancestor. And I'm gonna miss seeing Lilith on a regular basis. She was growing on me and Hooty had a friend and I was hoping she'd become an aunt to Luz since they seem to have a bit in common. I hope she makes regular visits to the Owl House.
1. If Gwendolyn's great-grandma told her the story about the other human on the Boiling Isles...Eda's about 45, so mama would be about 70. Wouldn't that make Belos between 100 and 150 years old? 2. Would Belos be rebuilding the portal because he couldn't get any other method (Titan's Blood or otherwise) to work?
With synopsis of the episode "Eclipse Lake" Im guessing that Belos and Luz need titan blood Belos for made the portal work and Luz for her own portal But Luz get sick before so Amity go for her and G.G. Is the one who go to Belos (I want Amity and G.G to fight eatch other)
wait guys... what if later on, creepy Luz is gonna pretend to be the real Luz in the boiling isles and she messes around with amity and eda and everyone :,)

I won't be able to talk or eat solid food for as long as it takes for me to find my lower jaw, it dropped as soon as Camila was offered tissues.
I’d imagine it to be something like this:

I love the part where Eda falls into the bushes and says to Owlbert "Help Mama up." Hilarious!

Lilith is just so lovable.
I will miss her.
1: Creepy Luz made me choke on my coffee.
2: Never mess with Mama Clawthorne.
3: Poor Baby Hooty....
4: Bye Lilith...
5: WHAT THE HELL
Lillith: "How have you managed all these years?"
Eda: *"Spite."*
(p.s. I’ve already seen the episode by the time I’m posting this)
Lilith going all drunk off ice cream.

21:52 WHAT TF IS THAT! NOT WHO..... BUT WHAT IS THAT! DANA LIED TO US! GUYS IM TERRIFIED FOR LUZ'S MOM
My money is on that Luz Camp being changeling trap. Were you go and a changeling takes your place. I assume the changeling just keep at it. No clue what happen to all the other kids or why they didn't notice Luz never arrive. So my headcanon has whole but is my best guess.
16:37-16:45, Easy To See Where Eda Gets Her Fierceness From
Oh god, even though I've seen this episode and others react to it, I'm still not ready!!
RIGHT everytime it’s hard to watch!!
I call Eda’s mama “Mama bird”. 😘🦅
I call her Gwen, because that's her name. But I'm also gonna call her Mama Edalith now
I think the reason that Lilith is bigger and darker in color is due to her being a Crow which are natural enemies of Owls and vice versa, just looking at her Palisman gives it the clue and it fits with the sibling rivalry theme
Love this

21:09-21:15, And I Thought The Letters Were A Shocking Twist! Clearly There's More To This "Reality Check Summer Camp" Than We Were Originally Led To Believe!
So I think that Belos is the human Gwen talked about, but over the years, he became mad or crazy from living there. So he "disappeared" and returned as Emperor Belos. I also think that he might have a connection to Luz somehow, and maybe sent Fake Creepy Luz to keep Luz's mom occupied.
I think she will be like AHHHH and take a small break when she sees something at the end
Gwendolyn shows up: you think that is spit worthy
Me sees creepy: *spits out water* now that is spit worthy
Also I loved your reaction and I changed my profile picture from a grim reaper sitting on a grave stone to luz and amity kissing so what do you think
I would love to see some a spin off series of young Eda (and a longer a longer season three). So I agree we should right to Disney and tell them!

Is no one going to talk about the picture of Luz and Camila?! Freaking Adorable!! 💜🍝
Also, remember back in "Enchanting Grom Fright" when Luz told her mother that she would eventually tell her all about her summer experience.

She literally said “you don’t know what are in those” when referring to the elixirs
Eda’s mother is mad she 😱😱😱😳😳. But can’t wait next week Amity and Luz in Library. Found out secret’s in library to help Luz or Amity and Luz relationship grow can’t wait.
My guess, it might have something to do with the mystery person who wrote the letters to Luz’s mum.
I have a theory that Creepy Luz is actually the real Luz and the one in the boiling isles is like her soul or a mental construct or something like that.
6:08 Woah, you almost got Luz’s voice down pat when doin that, damn.
Amity: "WHAT? There are two-two-two Luzes?... I gotta GO!"

If you look closely in Camila’s home there’s a Dominican flag! I’m Puerto Rican but that made me happy to see!
I don't think the Titan is King's father because
1) King is only eight years old, yet Emperor Belos has reportedly been speaking through the Titan for over 50 years
2) King's father was alive when he was still growing inside the egg
camila: thank you Luz
all of us: I don't need to sleep I need answers.png
I cannot wait ti'l she sees creepy Luz
If Gwendolyn's great-grandmother knew of the human, he'd be over 100 years old. How would Belos live for that long?
Maybe through consuming the palisman energy? 🧐

He's probably a Lich. A sentient undead corpse. Like a zombie but smarter and retains his original personality.

I keep coming back to rewatch your reaction to creepy Luz, all your reactions truly but this one makes me laugh.
I cried a lot at this episode, like… A LOT!!!
It's true
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that about Belos. Also, I think what he was drinking in his first appearance was actually the magic bile from a random witch's heart. He must use it to give himself magic power/extend his life.
I don't think the Titan is King's father, the skull is too different. Could be an ancestor. And I'm gonna miss seeing Lilith on a regular basis. She was growing on me and Hooty had a friend and I was hoping she'd become an aunt to Luz since they seem to have a bit in common. I hope she makes regular visits to the Owl House.
21:10 you can literally see the change in facial expressions, the moment creepy luz says “here mama”
Ikr Elijah instant change in mood got me rolling🤣
Bro I can't wait for next episode is gonna be sick
With synopsis of the episode "Eclipse Lake"
Im guessing that Belos and Luz need titan blood
Belos for made the portal work and Luz for her own portal
But Luz get sick before so Amity go for her and G.G. Is the one who go to Belos
(I want Amity and G.G to fight eatch other)
what if belos just want to go home
wait guys... what if later on, creepy Luz is gonna pretend to be the real Luz in the boiling isles and she messes around with amity and eda and everyone :,)
Heck yeah! Lets gooooo
Ur reaction to creepy Luz is the same as mine! Incoherent screaming and swearing. 💀
This is the first episode that literally made me cry! I have some symptoms of ADHD. It gave me a hard time in school.(I couldn't concentrate, or I would be TOO FOUCSED to notice other thing that happened around me. Some people would think I ignored them on purpose but...that was not truth😂) I didn't realize what was wrong with me until I graduated from college several years ago. And now I can handle it and even use the characteristics of ADHD. Eda's inner beast is like my symptoms. Although it is hard to heal, she could find a way to get along with the beast in her heart.
When I saw the final scene I literally went to :) to Ö D:
