Nefarious is a 2d-animated action platformer, where your objective on each stage is to kidnap a princess and then escape with them! Heroes will attempt to thwart you, and many things may not go quite as expected.

Hey guys! Nefarious creator here. Just wanted to say this episode has been a delight to watch. Great voices for the characters, perfectly in line with how I hear them in my own head when writing them. We just pushed up quite a few fixes to some of the bugs I've seen here, and a whole lot of audio. I'll be watching the rest of the series!

As a platformer junkie who has played A LOT of Steam platformers, I can honestly say that Nefarious is quality. :D :D :D
Crow: a true gentlemen when he kidnaps a person of royalty he doesnt lock em up........He lets them stay at his base and eat food from some top quality chefs

Dash obviously is a reference to Sonic. Speed related name, has a needle on his body, you fight him in an eggman vehicle-esque machine, and "That's no good!"
NinjaMaster909 and the fact that Crow calls Dash "NeedleNose" the original name of Sonic the Hedgehog and the first name of Sonic 4(Project Needlenose)

You fail to realize, Crow is much more cyborg then you think, look at the armor on his upgrade screen, not only is his hand completely mechanical, but the armor itself goes straight down to the bone in some places.
actually he say at the end he made that armor and that pproctect him from any concusive damage force

What would have made this even better is if you played going from right to left. Since the hero always goes from left to right, wouldn't it make sense for a villain to go in the opposite direction?

Okay so I just found this today I'm 9 Minutes in and I'm loving the story. This is like if Mario addressed how much Peach lets herself get caught. This is awesome

Josh Hano Don't remember, i try to make games myself so i always im arround those type of forums for study and stuff, but i remember it looking really promising, the interactions between villain and princess sounded like a great funny idea.
Ill try to get it when i have money (and actually gets released in steam, obviusly)

I'm mildly annoyed you figured out the vinyl on the ship that quickly. It took me half the game to figure that one out.
I know I'm REALLY, REALLY late to the party but so far, I like this. I just found out about this last night and saw the good ending. I was confused and wondering if this was like Megaman combined with other things but seeing the X-ray and the Queen Bee's words has helped me realize those are humans and cyborgs, not robots. Oddly, now it reminds me of Mario games turned on their heads, very old Mario game where Bowser originally cursed some of the mushroom kingdom citizens into things like stone blocks and Peach had the amulet to break the spell, Warioland games, and such.
That dash guy kinda reminds me of a certain blue hedgehog...
Really liking the LP so far! Looking forward to the next part!

There is a game identical to the one you are describing called Castle Doombad by Adult Swim
It looks decent, but unpolished. I also can't help but feel like it's too Shovel Knight inspired. Sheet Music/Vinyls (namely, getting money from them), dropping money bag robots upon death, etc. I'm just scoping it out because Indie Box is releasing a collector edition.
