Alabama Is my mom's favorite group. Randy sounds amazing. So sad to see Jeff look so frail but glad to see him. Home Free sounds amazing too.

Saw it on my birthday Dec. 2. It was so good . Some of it made me cry. We paid to see it live on line and home free was on line with us listening to our comments and responding. One magical evening.

A reactor who I will not name listened to this and actually asked, "What is Dixie?" Can't wait to read those comments.

Home Free did a video mashup of Alabama songs that you probably have reacted to in the past. That might be where you heard the partial Alabama songs were from their video. Thanks for reacting. I hope everyone from everywhere has a peaceful Christmas.

Home Free did a number called Alabama Sampler which was a medley of about 6 Alabama songs back when Chris was still a member. Randy Owens was the Alabama member taking the lead, his cousin Terry Gentry sat on the side toward Chance and Randy and Terry's cousin Jeff Cook was on the side toward Adam. Jeff used to play lead guitar and fiddle most often but was diagnosed with Parkinson's about 7 years ago. The special did have a small audience wearing masks and social distancing who had paid to be there as part of the Indiegogo campaign for that perk. The guys premiered the special to the Indiegogo supporters tuesday evening and then it was premiering as a pay per view special multiple times this first week of December. After that I am not sure what will happen. Great job D. Lynn!

This was wonderful. I, too, had not heard the song before but I really like it. It makes me nostalgic for Christmas’s past with my parents and aunts and uncles. I bet performing with Alabama gave them goosebumps. They all sounded great. Austin had that great solo moment and you could hear Tim’s low bass all along the song. Loved your reaction.

They actually had a small audience there when shooting the special. Not a big one and they were all socially distant. Great vid as always. Take care all and have a great weekend. "...Alabama is the most awarded band in the history of country music, with over 200 awards from a variety of organizations. In 1981, Alabama won both the Vocal Group of the Year and Instrumental Group of the Year honors from the CMAs. It also won the ACM's Vocal Group of the Year award, and 's New Group of the Year honors. The group won the CMA's prestigious Entertainer of the Year award for three consecutive years (1982-84), and the ACM's Entertainer of the Year award five times (1982-86). In 1989, Alabama was named Artist of the Decade by the ACM. In addition, Alabama has also received the NARM Gift of Music award, the Alabama Hall of Fame Distinguished Service award, the Country Radio Broadcasters Humanitarian Award, the Prince Matchabelli National Hero Award, the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame" (from Wikipedia). They sold over 75 million records and have 21 Gold ALBUMS (whole ALBUMS people, you do the math).

Hi D Lynn!!! I love this reaction and the song. I do have to say that the silence after Tim's intro was eerie. Like Lee Greenwood on "God Bless The USA", Randy's voice still sounds great even after all these years. I didn't know if you were going to go ahead and do this song or wait until after the 15th. Either way, it's worth the listen. Talk to you later!! BYE!! :)

Hey Miss D. Lynn :) I hope you had a super Thanksgiving. Isn't this just awesomely pretty ! I love the special, and it is amazing. You should listen to their 1st hit, it was a crossover song in 1980 - Love in the 1st degree, and was nominated I believe for record of the year.

Performing without an audience is also called dress rehearsal. You still need to put out full energy and focus just as much you just don't have the audience giving you their energy to put the experience over the top.
