Camilla was in college to be a nurse, Lexus had 12 years of ballet training, KG wrote and performed her own music (she had no idea how to dance before she started), Kendall is also a mixed media artist, Savanna was in gymnastics for years but had to stop competing because of an injury, and Kaylee had had been through multiple auditions prior to JYP.

The final line up is great the way it is. It is unfortunate for Cristina and Gina but VCHA members are solid.
I believed all 8 of them were ready to debut. It's unfortunate for Christina and Gina but the lineup is good as it is.

Gina actually came out with a M/V called freedom. Not sure what Christina is doing now.
Gina couldn't get over the "show more emotions" and "show more character" that JYP wanted her to fix. If you pay attention to her closely, which I did, she was pretty boring outside of performing. She also seemed very detached from the other members unless she absolutely needed to interact.
@@Etheldreda_ Yea I normally am not that kind of person, but Gina really looked like she was doing it for herself once in Korea and didn't really care that much about the others.

JYP have cleared stated when the audition started in u.s.a " this is a global group project not k-pop group". You call a kpop group when they their song have korean lyrics and based the audition in korea. Although there are some kpop group doesnt have korean member but some of the members speak quite good korean.

I loved this song and I really enjoyed watching them grow through a2k they came so far and I can’t wait to see them grow.
The A2K show was enjoyable. The episodes were not too long and it built everything up well.

The show was good actually. For this time I fully agree with the members that debuted. You should watch it . They were all talanted so it was so interesting and hard to choose who will win in which round.Also there are people who don't like the fact that they are minors butit is not a bad thing it's their dream after all the problem with that is the company should keep everything age appropriate.

I agree, very solid first MV! I was definitely a little nervous going into it, but I'm glad their genuine personalities shined through. I'm very glad JYP prioritizes character & genuine emotions, it's what made me fall in love with all his other groups!
You should totally watch A2K! I def put it off at first bc I didn't have high hopes...but I started some where before they flew out to Korea and it's so fun watching them improve. I think you'll enjoy KG's dance journey!
I commented this on the show's video, but it's important to note that the reason the last contestants weren't chosen was because of the character evaluations (pointed out by JYP himself in that video) which are MAJOR for these JYP survival shows. We'll never know what happened, and I'm sure no one will wanna talk about it because no one wants to bring literal children down when they truly have a fighting chance- we can only hope that they will continue on their music journeys. JYP said he'd give them the connections and now Gina is out with an MV! Hoping Christina comes thru too. I wouldn't be surprised if it was JYP himself that suggested that Gina release that video after A2K so that she could have some success

Everyone was scouted in 2022 Spring/Summer. The JYP A2K audition program from LA bootcamp->the Korean JYP training program was ~8-10 months, thus this pre-single uploaded. This is predebut content of the 3 songs performed in final round, w/ this 1 as the pre-single title track.

Lexus Vang: Nov 22, 2005. She's 17 turning 18 in 2023.

~Ethnically Hmong (Thai, Laos ethnic group); born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin; Lives in Cook County, Chicago.
~did ballet for 12y. was in a K-Pop dance cover group, Prism Kru, since 2019; Best Dancer in this group/show.
~people compare her visually to Bora ~ Sistar, Giselle.
~She vocally has some potential, tho is a bit nasally; not very off w/ pitch often + can kinda belt; she's still an amateur vocalist tho; + JYP was beefing a bit w/ her for some reason he knew she was a peak dancer, but always was pressed @ her vocals, despite them being average on the show. I assume he was comparing her vocally to her dance skill too much smh. Maybe he'd wanted her to improve ~Chaeryeong/Yeji's level??

The other main vocal had less dance exp in comparison to her.

~Ethnically mixed wasian; Vietnamese-American. From Fort Worth, Texas.
~Did ballet for 5y; Did jazz, theatre, lyrical dance too.
~Audience was fickle @ Kendall smh. The judge team/JYP likely scouted her for idol qualities in performance expressions/presence moreso + her voice being higher helps a bit w/ pop vocal ranges. The show's singing was more carried by 3/11 girls OG w/ only 2 debuting; idk why Kendall got more audience-associated tiktok shade w/ favoritism visual rumors smh. She is generally stoic + a bit quiet, despite appearing very cute, tho she seems very up for challenges + tries to stay self-assured. She also is marketed as artsy/expressive/charming. Her singing was ok for the show's standard, tho many of the trainees were vocally amateur @ varying success, minus the 3/11 being consistent vocalists
Savanna Collins: July 26, 2006. She turned 17 this summer.

She also is amateur w/ rap, tho def within top 2 best here. She seems chill, tho is very diligent/disciplined. She def showed thru more in the 2nd part of the show w/ good stamina when dancing+singing live. This probs stems from her athleticism via gymnastics etc, + her voice having some fullness despite being underdeveloped.
KG / KG Crown ;; Kiera Grace Madder: July 17, 2007. Turned 16 in summer.

She is athletic/sporty OG tho + does try to style herself charismatically, tho she does have natural presence tbh. She had a mini bad vibe-check due to a tiktok/vid of her in braids. K-pop fans have discourse on this commonly on twitter/social media. She generally likely isn't aware of this sitch at all tbh?? Think people were yeeting @ her a bit much over this initially + the sitch is just kinda left alone now tbh, esp given the kinda random circumstance of 1 of the only international kpop-trained groups to debut rn??
Kaylee Lee: Nov 24, 2009. She is 13 turning 14 in 2023.
~Lead Vocal (most stable?), Dancer/Lead Dancer, Youngest
~Korean-American. From Olympia, Washington. Speaks English & Korean.
~She went a bit viral compared to contestants tbh; seems she is well-liked; idk if I've seen as much age debates compared to other young idols in Kpop rn.
~She's kinda gifted in skill tbh; kinda natural @ learning the K-Pop dances + vocally has some potential w/ belting moreso than pitch for runs/riffs for now; She was a complete amateur @ the start of the show, tho hired a casual teacher during the LA bootcamp to prep for @ home. She is very studious / diligent though for her age. She even lead a team on the show due to this.
