Happy 190th Bday LIRR! You’ve served us well over the years. 👏
Happy 190th! I've been using this railroad for my entire life as it's the very railroad that got me into trains. Best wishes for the future! (And maybe you can make a heritage livery or wrap for the 200th anniversary?)
Could have showed at least one GP-38 hauled train in the mix. The most reliable locomotives LIRR ever had.
Happy 190th Anniversary to the LIRR!🥳
I See LIRR trains pass by every minute or so,happy 190th anniversary LIRR!
190th Anniversary of Long Island Railroad this is awesome for this Long Island Community
As also a Long Islander, it’s given tons to its community, I even remember the LIRR M1s
Thanks for that. From the day he emigrated to the US to the day he retired, my Dad rode the LIRR to work and back every day. Growing up, I rode it every time I wanted to go into the City, and again every time I visited after leaving home.
Happy 190 LIRR and thank you to all who have ran it running and will do so..awesome video and narration
And eventually more LIRR projects will be done, such as electrification between Huntington-Port Jeff, reactivation of Lower Montauk branch and many more!
For God’s sake YOU HAVE LOCOMOTIVES THAT CAN GET YOU TO PENN STATION ALREADY
Happy 190th Birthday Long Island Railroad
Happy 190th anniversary 🥳🎉🎊
Happy 190 years Long Island rail Rd.
🚂 Happy 190th AnniversaryLIRR 🚂
As a LIRR rider, this gives us lotta of flashbacks during those days of steams trains and old Penn Station
Happy 190 lirr. Well deserved❤
Happy 190th, LIRR! Awesome video!!
Build the Queenslink!!!
Happy 190 years long island railroad🚂🚇🚆
The LIRR is the oldest operating railroad still under its original charter from what I read.
Happy 190th B-day! It's amazing to see how far the LIRR has come.
Great Video but you could probably do a 3 hour in-depth documentary on the LIRR’s History!
Happy 190th anniversary LIRR!
Happy 190th Birthday!
Happy 190th Anniversary MTA Long Island Rail Road! April 24, 1834-April 24, 2024! 🥳 👏 🎂
Happy Happy 190th Birthday LIRR! I just feel so privileged to be able to ride it on Long Island. And by the way, I just love the background music around the 2:45 mark!
I loved seeing Dashing Dan at the end of the video
Happy 190th Anniversary to the Long Island railroad aka L.I.R.R may this anniversary be special 🎉
Happy 190 Years Of Service
Happy birthday lirr🎉🎉🎉🎉
LIRR should have a heritage unit for the 190 anniversary
@@TheMrPeteChannelOtherwise known as "Vanderbiltism"; "Corny" Vanderbilt ordered that the locomotives he owned be painted all black. Other railroads followed suit.
Happy 190 Anniversary to MTA Long Island Rail Road!
Happy Birthday LIRR!
I love LIRR
as someone born in Oceanside in 1960 and raised in Lakeview, the LIRR was a vital part of my early life. Which South Shore Long Islander can't recite the towns in their order from Valley Stream to Babylon since their childhood?
Happy Birthday LIRR. And with the same name.
Next 10 years later in future 2034 celebration 200 Years Anniversary of service
First, awesome video!
My favorite long Island railroad Trains are the M1 and M3
Second, Great Video 👍
Nice❤
LIRR 1834: Connects across the island to a ferry
LIRR 1890: Gains a monopoly on rail in the area
LIRR 1900s: Upgrade Round 1
LIRR 1950s-70s: Upgrade Round 2
LIRR 2010s-2020s: Upgrade Round 3 terminals
LIRR 2030: Upgrade Round 4 of regional rail across the network
@@collectivelyimprovingtrans2460 I wish the LIRR, and the MTA as a whole was more ambitious
@@broyofroyo1207My greatest desire is that there were a UNIVERSAL MTA TRANSIT PASS covering ALL services operating under the MTA umbrella!
I hope to ride the way of the Dashing Dan again.
The LIRR Needs To Put A Second Track Between Patchouge And Montauk If They Put 2 Tracks On The Ronkonoma Line Means They Need It On The Montauk Line
At 1:44 That's got to be Bay Ridge Branch.
Smokeshow in cut-off shorts coming down the escalator at 3:38!

Awesome I love The Long Island Rail Road Danger The Third Rail Carry's 750 Volts DC At 1000 Ampers Wich Can Be Fatal Keep Away
The current is actually 15,000 amps. I'm not sure as to the date when the voltage was increased from 600, though....
To celebrate this, train sim world 4 is also going to release!!
Great, now merge operations and cooperate with NJT to provide through-running service with Penn Station’s existing infrastructure. Your ego, protectionism and state failure to cooperate are the only barriers
Crossing the Hudson River would mean FEDERAL REGULATION of the MTA....
@@user-dj7wv5ok2x I got news for you; for the last 50 years LIRR has been regulated by FRA-USDOT.
Who the hell wants to go from NJ to Long Island. There’s not nearly enough demand to justify the high cost of such a project
@@nathanielcoleman5694 Several passengers already do; they just hafta transfer to other trains to do so.
Yeah, at age 7 I was up there on a family vacation and wanted to see a steam locomotive. You still had #39 in service, I found out later. Why couldn’t you have run it through Southampton?
Imagine Long Island with high speed rail
@@Mr.Nin10do.Are you proposing a super-express service, non-stop from NYC to Montauk?!
Personally, I just CAN'T wait for the BICENTENNIAL!!
Why would the LIRR, ever be conceived as being the fastest way from NYC to Boston? 0:30 When a track up the New England (land) coast would obviously the quickest way to Boston.
It’s almost 200 years after, and we still don’t have a bridge from Long Island to Connecticut. Why would a train (and a ferry) ever be considered the fastest way to Boston.
Should the MTA get a new sticker for 200th anniversary beginning next year until 2034?
Time to extend all the short platforms to full-length, so passengers don’t have to pay attention to which car they enter to get off at such stations.
Also, raised platforms may be made to discourage people from being close to the tracks.
@@captainkeyboard1007 Speaking of this, when a station is made accessible or is already accessible, its platforms should all be level with the train floor to allow safe wheelchair boarding.
@@captainkeyboard1007As far as being too close to the tracks, ALL lines need to be fully grade separated. So far, there are several lines running at grade....
@@anonymous3738 That is just what I typed in my comment. Thank you for typing to me.

I wonder if they invited the oldest commuter to the party? Or centenarians commuters?
