- Here is an OP Wyll / Warlock Build Guide in Baldur's Gate 3. This is the Pact of the Blade warlock in BG3 The Warlock has a lot of futility as it regains its Warlock spell slots on short rest. This means that it can get to Blaston more than a sorcerer or wizard can over a long period of time. The sorcerer is better for burst damage in the wizard is best overall, but the Warlock has a different role and can use a rapier instead of a staff in combat. The Warlock has some great compatibility with the Paladin, as you can go more of a pure DPS route with Smites.

Thank you! For Wyll it makes sense to do 12 levels Warlock for roleplaying but I think Warlock 7 / Paladin 5 is one of the best classes in the game, I also have a guide on that

Hey man! Didn’t know you did a Warlock build (Pact of Blade)! Here’s my little take on it. Bardlock feels better too me over full Warlock.
“Killing in Darkness, Shrieks of Murder”
Half Drow Durge with Planar Aluve + Viconia’s Shield (Ketherics or Devotion maybe)
Cast Darkness (plus race gives free cast) (w/Devils Sight) Flourishes (w/Phalar Aluve debuff) + works with Slayer form but you won’t need it if you wanna do Good Durge + Viconia’s shield
Fiend because GOO relies on Crits whereas Fiend relies on Kills which is easier to secure imo. But whatever you want works lol
I go to Song of Rest (Bard 2) before reclassing to Warlock cause it’s very valuable early game instead of delaying it. (At level 3 you’re in Act 1 so being Bard 2/War 1 imo is better than Bard 1/War 2)

Edit: I just realized I won’t get Potent Robe because of Evil Durge unless I cheat and kill the Dragonborne instead, but the Durge Robe is so cool lol
Interested to know if wearing all the Bard gear with this build would work if you wanted to take more Bard levels than Warlock?
Edit Edit (my ADHD is acting up lol):
- Ascended Astarion Open Hand Monk (extra Necrotic Damage + Karlach won’t be around)
- Evil Shart Storm Sorceror/Tempest Cleric (or just full Life Cleric for EZ mode)
- Paladin/Fighter Minthara (unless you kill her, then Lae’zel)
The Bardlock could be a Controller/Melee murderer in the darkness lol
Hold Person is like my favorite spell 😅
Oh and for Feats Alert is good for Honor Mode cause it sucks when you lose initiative. There’s a way to work Actor in there too.
Oh man this was such a fun comment to read, I like all these ideas! I have a half drow evil durge right now playing a open hand monk 9 / thief rogue 3 and the free darkness is so good.
I am going to get into build testing warlock / bard this weekend!! I loved Paladin / Warlock and Paladin / Sorcerer. I currently have Minthara as Bard 10 / Paladin 2 on my resist dark urge.
Hold Person is elite I don't see many people using it enough, it can completely turn the tide of a battle.
Alert is necessary on harder difficulties because a rough turn 1 can legit cause a wipe.

Since Warlocks cap at level 5 spells, they cannot get Myrmidons, right? And why would you take Resilience Charisma if they are already proficient in CHA? Better to take Actor. This is the build I will go for my next playthrough for EVIL WYLL. 12 straight into Bladelock, pump CHA a lot, lifedrinker, fiend, darkness and fire party.
You can choose armour of agathis and the hadar spell no matter what subclass you choose.

A change to stats I'd do is dumping intelligence to 8 because afaik its rarely targeted in combat and doesn't come up much in dialogue / exploration. Having dexterity at 16 or even 18 with an asi on any class is pretty important because going first in combat is op. Alert as a feat is also near mandatory by act 3 due to so many enemies having like 20-28 dexterity in that act lol.
Something like 8 str, 16 dex, 14 con, 8 int, 10 wis, and 17 charisma and boosting with hags hair later. Could also temporarily dump dex down to 8 with dexterity gloves from the creche and pump up wisdom / constitution a bit more til you get spellmight gloves in act 3. Feats id go charisma asi first > alert unless drinking vigalance elixirs > asi or spellsniper if getting +3 charisma from mirror of loss in act 3.

Yup. I dump INT all the time on my party face cause failing a INT check in this game isn’t that punishing surprisingly. And Face wants CHA most importantly, DEX for initiative and AC, and CON for HP. WIS 10 is good for +0 WIS save. INT and STR at -1 is ok for the Party Face cuz you can have someone else fill those roles in your party.
Hey is there a way that I can be able to do high damage woth Wyll against Ansur (undead skeletal dragon)?
I have been having a difficult time trying to beat hin on Tactitian difficulty. The most I have done with my party is drop ⅓ of its health before my party gets wiped out due to the AoE.
Perilous Stakes can make it vulnerable to all damage, and using globe of invulnerability to keep your party safe makes it a bit better! Also use all the arrows of dragon slaying you can find!

Is it? That’s a level 14 warlock feature and the max level is 12. Maybe with mods you can access it
