Megalicious It was written by a mentally ill woman who had been institutionalized several times, needed in-home care at other times, attempted suicide at least twice, and then succeeded in killing herself at age 59. She had been sexually abused by two half-siblings for several years. She lived a very sad and confusing life, so it is no wonder that her writing is confusing.
diese videos haben mir in meinen oberstufenjahren super geholfen und jetzt im zweiten semester uni immer noch. es ist fantastisch dass sie sich immer die mühe machen alles so verständlich zusammen zu fassen.
If you find Woolf a bit heavy, this is definitely the book to go for - witty, fun, optimistic, none of the usual Woolfian mental illness, cancer and suicide.
"and she means the inner death that many of us experience every day"
daaamn right in the feels man
:-)
"I'm so witty I can make a room full of people hate me in 5 seconds" Alexander Pope
love the sardonic jokes (-:
I must say I've never managed to understand the plot, thank you for this summary haha
it's rather picaresque and absurd yet there is definitely commentary on literature, gender, and history ... it's not a simple work
Very cool and explanatory, thank you! I watched this after reading the book and it highlighted the most important things
"Because she was supposed to be a dead, married and a man" brilliant
Watched the film, got confused. Went on UA-cam for explanations, got even more confused.
