Trying to start my UA-cam Channel doing live one take vocal covers. Any advice before uploading my first video. All I have left to is actually create the channel. I have 3 videos done and edited waiting to be uploaded.
I should be booking a call with you in about 2-3 weeks, I've been producing since 2017 and I'm eager to learn more with you aside me. I think it's now time that I take my career to the next level. Thank you for all the good insights!
Two of your videos convinced me to subscribe. I never wrote a single note until 3 days before my 60th. I’ve now been writing music for just under 3 years, written well over 100 songs, and my 7th album comes out in 4 days (yes, picked the same day as TS, but she won’t cut into my virtually zero sales😁). But I still have so, so, so much more to learn, and I look up to people like you. Been the most rewarding time of my life for something I love to do. And I thought I’d go through life without being really proud of anything I’ve done. I pinch myself every day. I love it.
Very inspiring, thank you! As someone who started only about 2 months ago, I'm equally amazed and overwhelmed by what is possible. I tried a couple of DAWs and chose Ableton, then took a beginner course that showed how to produce a song from start to finish.
good story sis iv been in production for 20 years used cubase, logic but when fl studio came in my studio it through out the rest. fl is my game changer...
Im a Fl studio producer since the start and i feel it is the best DAW for me. So like that everyone have there own choices, Great video as always PLV 🔥🔥😍
Very good video! I had a very similar experience when starting. I never was inspired in fl, and almost gave up on music. After switching to Logic, I instantly became way more inspired than I was, and I didn’t quit.
Thank you for making this video!! Really enjoying your content 😃 Also, the mindset section of this video was SO good! It's so applicable to anything in life really.
You provided a lot of information in this video ❤️ I still remember 1 year ago when I opened fl studio and I was like what the heck is that cause it looks so complicated so I learned a little bit of basic then I started learning everything myself and then I use to find the basic information of a particular genre I wanna make and then I use to learn everything myself by experimenting other with other stuffs. Then I made friends in this music production and then whenever I was demotivated or I wanna quit it they helped me to comeback ❤️ I find myself still a beginner but I m a expert for 1 years ago of myself So by listening my old tracks it always gives me a motivation that how you was then and how you r now 💥 So everyday every moment I keep working and I never stopped music production ❤️
Lots of good info here! We are at a great time to learn how to make music! So many good tools and resources out there. I started learning in the early 2000s and things were really limited at the time. Haha I hope this video inspires people to start making music! It is life changing!
my first DAW was FL, but i use it just for create a basic idea, i use Cubase today! I flow faster in mixing and mastering from there adn i can make easy arrengments! Everythings fine!
This is a great video!! You never fail to bring the viewer in and it helps us stay focused on what you are saying and it is so easy to take notes! Keep up the great work!
Thanku for taking the time to put ou5 these short little vids and reels. They are very helpful and post some really good ideas for the aspiring musician. Best wishes always, Robert zeligson 🎉🎉
for your first part. I think I got lucky and found FL Studio was perfect right from the start. I had a class in the fall of 2023 where I had to use Logic Pro X... I had the worse time I think I've ever had making music with that DAW and overall it just felt like FL Studio could do everything I needed so much better than Logic
I can't believe I found this amazing video! Subscribed, and I'm looking forward to more inspiration! - "Achievement thrives on unwavering dedication and relentless effort."
Haha, I already did all of these. That’s validating though. I tried Logic (and used GarageBand a lot as a teen) and hated it, but Ableton really clicked with me (even though I mostly use it in timeline view). I started on instruments and theory long before trying to make my own tracks. I try to interleave covers between originals. I’ve tons of sketches with nothing finished, but my intention is to post them once I’m done with them. :)
Is it possible to start from scratch, I don't know why I look it up never had talent for music and I'm already on the path of visual creation, I don't know about any instrument other than piano but only basic of basic
Ive been producing for 6 years... a lot of time wasted on not taking it seriously enough and there for didnt make progress on things i found boring. And focused on only the fun parts and there for 6 years later my work dont sound nearly as professional as it should... And i didnt invest in good speakers and headphones till last year and meaning my mixes didnt even have potential to ne good till now
I have a question, is this course by Kyngo suits for everyone? Bc I don't want to produce electronic music, only arrangement for my songs with more instrumental parts🤔
Disagree completely on point 1. I have tried using other daws and they are entirely unintuitive in comparison. FL makes way more sense for workflow. This is probably because I'm used to FL, but having said that if I were to switch to a different daw I wouldn't know where to begin. I've tried multiple times, and it always ends in me going back to FL, because FL just does things in a way that makes sense. You got lost because FL doesn't have a great base for plugins and effects, I guarantee you. The only genre its base platform might be ok for is EDM, that's it. It's got a handful of good effects, and nothing but mediocrity in its base plugins. The only place FL lacks is in recording imo. I use Cubase for that.
@@ronieldersampaio565 Stupid. I can record straight to a track in cubase with no bullshit, and if I delete it from the track it doesn't save it every time forcing me to take extra steps to get rid of each take. FL is bad for recording. Period. It's good for everything else.
@@illagevidiot8254 Calm down man, audio recording is not FL Studio's strong point, however this has been improved in the most recent versions, 21 for example, but you can do the same in Edison, it's just a matter of practice and study and you will see that It's not as bad as you might think, I thought that too until I learned how to use it correctly.
FL is a toy for kids. No one seriuous music producers use it. No one. You can't for a specific reason, because you must learn how to use it properly. There is the official manual, o a tons of video on YT. Excuses are pointless.
@DiplomChilla lol "cheap" is relative. I already have a very powerful tower pc, I can not justify buying yet another computer. I did the Mac thing once and just couldn't get on with it. Perhaps being raised on pc for the last 30 years has something to do with it....
@reamur9257 i think in this case is cheap not relative. Here in Germany you get a used Mac Mini M1 for about 400 €. In comparison to an powerful pc is it really cheap an you can go ahead with logic. But i understand that you couldnt get one with the mac and that it make no sense to have both. I had a mac and pc and at the same time. I also struggled with mac and hated it to switch everythime the systems. thats why i also have a now just the pc instead of a mac although i also loved logic
dude just listen to songs and try to sing the tonic (note that feels like rest), do that w your melodies and from there u figure out the key, it might not be in major so beware, it could be in minor or even in a mode or other scale. work on intervals if possible too, it can help a ton
All of y’all arguing about daws but have y’all tried to connect them like I do I use them all so no matter where I go I know them all and I use the best for all of them in Fl studio I make beats bc it’s so easier to make a beat in fl but pro tools is so much better on vocals that’s why I use it and i just know ableton it’s just better to use them all and connect them together we are all producers so stop arguing about it
Hang on... I'm sure it's very helpful for learning the nitty gritty, but do people actually need music theory to be able to discern what's "emotional" sounding? I discern that by just listening. Not knocking this point, I know it's important, I just feel that the basic chords establishing the right feel is the easiest part.
I guess it's different for everyone but you'd be surprised how not a lot of people have the "ear" for it right away ;) If you have it... it's amazing!!!
I find that NOT having music theory skill helps me be more creative; After 25 years producing, I can't understand why musicians become producers instead of hitting stages, going more of a live route, instead of trying to prove a moot point showing folk 'that they can'. Makes no sense & I feel they're cheating themselves. Imho.
I made multiple songs in the dance EJ program whilst I was in school 20 odd years ago and had over a thousand downloads of each of them from my personal website. I ended up quitting music entirely after being forced into learning music theory and absolutely hating it none of my songs ever sounded good again.
All of them are good including FL (works for so many big names, Avicii, Martin Garrix, Madeon, Porter Robinson, Afrojack). It just has a steeper learning curve, but is extremely powerful after that, and is quite different from most other DAWs. Just try them all and pick what works for you. The key is once you have picked the one you like just stick with it for a good while atleast 90% of the time (some experimentation from time to time with other daws is good). Don't switch if it lacks some small feature and you don't yet really need, as the key is to learn how to process audio and not how to just work with the software, and all of them are capable of doing that. Switching at a later point in your journey after you know all the fundamentals is much easier, and at that point you will most likely have a very specific reason for doing so (like live performance features, or vocal pitch correction features, for example, depending on what you do most). And keep in mind that all of them are constantly being updated, and so by the time you need something, your DAW of choice will most likely have it in the future. Just stick to what workflow you like currently, and what inspires you. Things like how it looks are also important for this, as you are more likely to create. And everyone's brain works a bit different so what someone likes may not click with another person. Ableton is an amazing DAW, and works for so many people (for example Skrillex), and is never going to be a limitation at all. Just take the time to learn each of its devices one at a time slowly over time, and its workflow, and you will be fine. If you aren't satisfied after putting in a decent amount of time, try another one. You will never be satisfied 100% with any of them, as each has its strengths and weaknesses, and if you always switch, you will just keep endlessly switching and not make any progress.

What are your thoughts on John Summits quick rise?
Is he that good? Did he have advantages or connections?
I tried a bunch of DAWs before a friend let me try his copy of FL and I found it so much smoother to work with
That’s perfect! Now you know what DAW works for you :)

This is exactly what I needed thank you so much! Just learning about music production
