  • Hello & Welcome to Harnetty Railways
In this special we feature 6 mainline steam locomotives within a 7 day period during the 1st full week of August with at least 1 steam loco representing each region of British Rail as we will see in this program.
We start on the Monday in the Scottish Highlands as we see the arrival of Keighley & Worth Valley Railway's black 5 45212 as she arrives with West Coast Railways's The Jacobite (Afternoon working) from Fort William to Mallaig & return.
We get a quick shot of her before she shunts her train back to the depot for the night.
We move onto the next morning after travelling via The Deerstalker Caledonion Sleeper to London Euston as we next see Locomotive Services Group's 70000 Britannia at London Victoria as she worked Steam Dreams's The Gardens of England Lunchtime Circular from London Victoria to Dover & return.
We 1st see her arriving from Southall with the stock which gave us the opportunity to have a look a her in great detail prior to her departure.
For the return run we see her on the south eastern mainline as we see her on the up main through Headcorn.
A few days later we return to London Victoria to see The Merchant Navy Locomotive Preservation Society's 35028 Clan Line as she worked The VSOE Luncheon circular trip on the same route as what 70000 Britannia went on.
We see the train arriving from Stewerts Lane depot sadly on this trip 35028 Clan Line would have diesel assistance from a class 67 due to the fire risk.
We head to Denmark Hill as we see the train pass by in the sun through the station while on the outward run.
For the return run we see Clan Line at Hildenborough as she headed back to London but sadly not the performance as many had hoped for as she was held due to delays in services & a stock move which was right in front of her.
2 Days later we head to London Paddington early Saturday morning to see Ian Riley's black 5 44871 in readiness to work The Railway Touring Company's The West Somerset Express from Paddington to Minehead & return.
We have a look round the black 5 prior to his departure west we head out in front of the black 5 as we head to Twyford to see him pass by almost running parallel with The Night Rivera Sleeper train.
A few hours on the same day we next see Locomotive Services Group's B1 61306 Mayflower as she worked Saphos Trains's The English Rivera from Taunton to Kingswear & return.
We see her along the famous sea wall of Dawlish 1 of the most scenic parts of the original Great Western Mainline as she accelerates away from Dawlish Warren putting on a spectacular display.
For the return run we see her accelerating through Newton Abbot after rejoining The Great Western Mainline from The Paignton Branch.
We end this video in the midlands getting Tyseley's Flagship loco 7029 Clun Castle as she worked Vintage Trains's The Shakespeare Express from Birmingham Snow Hill to Stratford Upon Avon & return 2 round trips.
We start by seeing the stock move from from Tyseley going past Birmingham Moor Street.
Like 35028 Clan Line 7029 Clun Castle had diesel assistance in 47773 caz of the fire risk.
We get 7029 Clun Castle on The Chiltern Mainline for her 2 northbound runs starting at Lapworth in the early afternoon & despite the 47 helping 7029 was working with some smoke out of the chimney with an added bonus & it was the same at Dorridge during her last northbound run of the day to Birmingham Snow Hill which is were we end this video.
Thanks for the company on the Sunday of ‪@crunchynutsteamfilms5043‬ while getting 7029 Clun Castle.
Thanks for filming enjoy the film.

    Hi Richard,
    Awesome as always.
However. The Castle class nails it every time; especially with the ‘Doppler’…..😂
    Rich. Washington DC.
Ps. Used to live at Churston, Devon 😊
