Yes since 5 are routed through the chipset DMI on a shared bandwidth and do not use PCIe lanes. The 5 on the chipset can run at full speed but if 3 drives on that shared bandwidth are running under load at the same time then they won’t. Only 2 of the drives are guaranteed to run at full speed and those are the 2 connected directly to the CPU via PCIe. So this actually only takes up 8 lanes even though there are 7 NVMe SSDs. Hope that answers your question.
@@danthevanman2710 Only slots 1 and 4 use PCIe x4 direct to the CPU and will always run at full speed. Slots 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 connect via the chipset DMI on a shared bandwidth and can run at full x4 speed as long as other drives aren’t at full load at the same time.
@@Ram_Technologies you're right, this would only store (128 * 1024 * 1024 * 1024 * 1024 * 8) / (7680 × 4320 * 16 * 3) = 706,990 photos of 8k resolution and 16 bit color depth completely uncompressed.

Why does bro need 40 T of storage 🙏🏼😭
what you need for bo6
I'm having heart cramps 💀
I think you need more storage
I wish I could afford this.
Will the cpu even have enough PCIe lanes to run them at full speed?

Holy shit
Looks like you don’t have any PCI-E lanes left. No way those things are running at their maximum speeds.

7 x 8TB of internal SSDs of a total of 16 x 8TB ....
Just what are you planning to store? All of games, movies, songs & anime?
