Hello! Welcome to my very first vlog! Join me as I explore my roots and learn about where I come from! This week I explore Cape Sable Island in Nova Scotia.
THANK YOU 🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻 … this is without doubt the absolute most complete study of Cape Sable Island that I have EVER heard … 🫡 respect to you, BIG HUGS 🤗 and much LOVE ❤️ to you for producing this awesome video ❤️
I grew up in the area, and am still here. My family had a piece of land on Cape sable Island from somewhere in the mid 1800's I knew of a site on the edge of centerville and NEP that I'm certain was the original Smith homestead . Its still a depression in the ground, elevated above the surrounding area with a well close by. It was Abandoned when her family purchased the area. sometime in the late 1800's hasn't been touched since.

Nice job, from another Archaleus descendant.
I go to the Hawk beach often, being from "Cape Island".
Great story, Melissa! I'll be keeping up on your journey!

Also a descendant of Archaleus. My family has some further information on his history, let’s connect.
Joseph Amirault was born there in 1689 so Acadians were there earlier than most people
