In response to some people, the story did change from the original. Instead of making mistakes, Bendy *was* the mistake, and he wanted to make himself into a perfect toon like Joey wanted, instead of being a demon wandering around full of destruction. I'm sorry if this wasn't clear, but here we are! ^^ Hope you enjoyed!

Most batim songs always set bendy out as a monster or a big bad or a god. But in this its just his point of view and how he thinks and what he thinks. Its cool how this song makes him look more like a hero
Epoch is not a BATIM/DR song but yeah. People tend to overlook his perspective and certain details of the story. Though one thing I'm confused at is the newer game mentioned he finally felt "sad and pain" when he was being experimented on by the Keepers, even though he already have as evidential to Buddy hearing him crying in the room he was locked up in and Buddy actually felt bad for him at that moment. But er, personally, that's probably most likely only thei point of views of the ones who recorded that tape.
He truly doesn't know what he's doing in BATIM and only residing to his anger because he just wasn't treated right and saw everyone else the same as the ones who did that to him (especially Joey), he not only progressively becomes aware of what he's done in BATDR; but sought to finally find someone he could relate to and sees as his equal (Audrey). He was...straight up venting to Joey's final words on Audrey, because no way in hell he'd not get upset at the man who belittled him for years.
I'm actually glad more people are getting the picture of his character after BATDR.
...Considering the amount of tiktoks of him, I guess.
I have a lot of theories thanks to this, just imagine all that years trapped, and when Henry came he just wanted to be with him, but by its appearance Henry got scared, and the loop started... Bendy killed Sammy to protect Henry, then Bendy chased us but by the insanity of killing someone, he went insane again, so every time he catch us he just want to make friends, but by its power he kills everything he touches, he has saved us from a lot of souls that tried to survive like us, but by killing each other, so finishing with that, at the end Bendy finally could be with Henry, but when he saw that Henry had the only thing that could destroy him, he thought Henry would terminate him, so in that way he transformed in all the anger he had and tried to kill Henry by anger, and that’s how it all ends... in a loop it can’t break...
Actually he doesnt kill everything he touches you can see that when he fights the projector
(Some spoilers for chapter five ahead! Just a warning to anyone who might be reading this and hasn’t seen or played it yet.)
I totally love this theory! I like to think that this Ink Demon version of Bendy that we see does just want to be with Henry and get away from all of the suffering he (Bendy) has endured for the past thirty years. That pain and loathing just sometimes takes over, you know? Perhaps against his will. Subconsciously. And we can see that especially when Bendy defends Henry from Norman / the Projectionist, looks inside the station to make sure his creator is okay, and then drags Norman away. Because even if Joey does confirm that this Ink Demon Bendy is without a soul, who’s to say that he (Bendy) doesn’t feel emotional and physical pain? Especially when he doesn’t KNOW how to change, and when he doesn’t realize that he’s being harmful until it’s too late. I hope that makes sense. But, yeah! I love your idea!

I can't even put into words how great this animation is! I love the story line of Ink Bendy trying become a better person and fix everything. I love how expressive he is. I'm so happy to see someone finally explore the tragic part of Bendy's character.

Omg I love this so much! Poor Inky, locked away just because he turned out wrong... There are so many details in this, like the ink following him when he rolls, the facial animations are on point, and I loved that little bit at 1:51. Ahh my heart at the end too!

I know this is not canon and will never be . But this video has its own story and lore . It’s creepy . For example when Sammy closed the door and Bendy wa atheist that was creepy because you could see the fear inside of him. This Bendy is kinda more creepy and when I see him with a ink creature I get very creepy vibes . Good job . But I don’t get why Bendy was a failure . Bendy was the actuall Bendy until Joey and Henry started fighting so actually it’s their fault

It’s great to revisit some of your old fandoms.
I’ve watched this video so many times but never bothered to comment. But I just wanted to say that the animation is just so smooth and fluent it’s amazing. What even more amazing is the hints of lore. Bendy/ink demon being trapped in a room relating to the book DCTL and how he wasn’t a perfect creation because he was able to transform into the ink demon is just terrific.
Can't we all just talk about how much detail this has put in it?- I mean this thing could of taken like months- and it probably a absolute pain to animate- especially all the shading - and the ink falling all over the models- it also conveys a lot of emotions that are original to the models. I appreciate all the time and effort put in this.
Plus all the poses and the part where bendy was rolling and the in actually trailed behind him- like my god this probably was pretty hard to animate

Man, I'm rewatching this in 2022 a week before BATDR and it looks like you guessed a major point in the story. We will have to wait.
First of all, this remake really impressed me! I forgot how cool this song was! But i realized something with the animation that was cooler. On 1:52 of the song, bendy takes out the looking glass and in his reflection is perfect bendy. Like in the thumbnail, but I don’t think this is just a cool visual. We know that in the games and the song that Bendy was castaway because he didn’t look exactly as how Joey wanted him to look. Everyone saw him as a beast. What does the looking glass Bendy looks like how he would’ve looked like in this cartoon form. Showing how he could’ve been pure if he wasn’t treated like a monster. Even bend himself doesn’t realize that he can change because he won’t be able to see himself as this cartoon form. So he doesn’t know how to change, but in the song he says he will. But he doesn’t know how or what he’s changing. And it’s not like bendy can look in any of the mirrors while he’s holding the glass because we know that Henry can’t see his reflection the mirrors in the games. So Henry, while he restores bendy to that perfect form because Henry gave him a chance. Treated him kindly, so bendy can see he could change, and how to do it right, notice how in the thumbnail and in the video, perfect bendy was still corrupted in ink, that’s because it’s showing he could’ve changed, but didn’t know better. Dang, kittanimates your a friggin genius!

A full short breakdown
Bendy was the final attempt of the perfect bendy, but failed. Eventually being locked away, making bendy’s sane go to lose. His behavior was probably positive before being locked away.
By the time he sees Henry, recognized he was one the people that helped lock him away and therefore begins the cycle.
Also, if you didn’t read the books, Ink Bendy or Ink Demon was never nice to Boris not because he sometimes show an antagonist in the show but rather a worker turned into Boris who chopped his foot off giving him a melting foot that cannot be regenerated.

I don’t usually watch SFM animations but I’m so glad I watched this one (and the previous one for context!), I am in LOVE. You’ve come so incredibly far from the first time you animated this, in every aspect, holy cow. There are some scenes from the original that I kinda miss, but I can definitely see why you replaced them. For example, the “wandering sins” Bendy, but the scene that replaced it in this one literally gave me chills and is clearly much cooler than the previous version. Just, damn, everything is so much smoother and flows better with the music and the lighting is amazing and the story is more in line with the actual outcome of the game. And we got an actual good ending for Bendy!! ;w;
Anyway don’t mind me I’ll just be watching this on repeat for the next two weeks
Edit: also, I love how much personality you’ve given Bendy in this one!! It really shines through in little character moments, like spinning the film reel and straightening/pushing the crooked sign out of his way. Very nice. 👌
