I'm here because I have a headache but Well ive had a frew decent headknocks from playing footy (been playing since 2022) i had 1 mid season lastyear from training i hot bunped to the hround and hit my head it gave myle a headache had tobget a hia because it was suspected concussion i got cleared played that weekend had to play 2 full quaters and it gave me the worst headache and i felt like i was gonna throw up mid game but i pushed on then this year was i do think the worst one it was the last minuet of the first quater and i was playing back pocket defending a kid sticking on my man not oetting him go to the footy when all of a sudden we bump heads and yhe kid smashed his head into mine causing pain in my head but eaven though it hurt (not headachebut my head) and i had a masive bump i played the rest of the quater eith a prety sore head i tried to push on while the kid that bimped heads into mine was standing there and complaining about being dizzy i come in after the siren and tell my cosch how i got a headknock snd my head hurt he said luckiky im of anyway and tild me he will get the trainer so i can get a hia because they take headknocks very seriously i got assesed abd the trainer told me that i seem ok although i wil need to see a doctor for a medical clearance before im allowed to play again i wanted to play because i was fine just a headache the trainer was doing paperwork about my injury and asked me a question i informed her about the bump and she felt it and said "yep your defently going" meaning i had to see a doctor i also had ti sit out rest if ghe game the trainer told me that eaven if i was to be cleared i should take a break and not play the next game then we had a bye round 3 andi eould be ok round 4 to play i webt home after the game i went to foctors on the Wednesday folowing the game(games are on saturdays) and i had headache comsitantly going from the game day to the Wednesday post game at the doctor i qas cleared but was suggested to miss the 2nd game and come bsck round 4 i then went to training the dsy after felt a little sick but was ok i then on ghe Saturday played eacen though it was sugwsted by trainer and dictor not to i then yp t now round 9 have been playing and when on the bench the coaches wife said that I should wear a helmet I chose no I do not want a helmet but yea I was told i should wear a helmet by multiple people but I don't want to
I had a bike accident when I was a kid where I flew over the handle bars and flew face first into a tree. I remember being really tired after but I was just a little kid. I was lucky I wasn’t killed. I honestly contribute that incident to learning issues I had as a kid. This was in the early 90’s so back then I’m sure they didn’t know as much as they do now.
My boyfriend was attacked & hit in the head several times & was taken by ambulance to ER. CT scan showed no brain bleed or fracture. 2 weeks later, he has a blank stare, headache, face & head feels numb, he gets nausea, walks slow, cry's, speaks slowly. He's taking Tylenol which helps the headache & Ibprofrien helps with the brain fog. Everyday is in alot of pain. I hope it gets better soon. He is normally athletic, surfs daily, runner - now he can barely talk & walk.
I really hope he went back to the e.r. A Brian bleed or trauma doesn't show immediately. My moth r r in law was hit by a car. She went to the e.r and everything looked OK. Very next day she passed out and when she went to the e.r there was a brain bleed. They had to take the slull bones out to get to the braid and drain it then put a prosthetic bone in

I hit the top of my head really hard yesterday. I was squatting down next to my front door to put my dog's harness on to go outside for a walk. When I stood up I rammed my head into the door knob and it hurt so bad. I went for the walk and it started hurting all over the top of my head and by last night it was tender all over and had a headache. Good video overall- some good general tips like be patient and when in doubt, as a default, see a doctor! That said, the brain is v e r y much a mystery and the reality is everyone is different. Given the same blow- some people will walk it off and the other might never be the same again- and have lifelong deficits. Whereas it might take some people "2 days" to feel relatively better, there are many others that can take 2+ years...and still not be the same. Even well meaning docs don't have all the answers. Unless you have a visible bleed (very bad), advanced imaging doesn't always offer much help. Brain scans will very often be "clear" even though many symptoms are ongoing (post-concussive syndrome)- again, the brain being a mystery. A huge thing for people to be aware of is that if you had a concussion, you are very likely to get another one- and another after that. It's strange how that works- but it is absolutely true. In most cases, things will just be off. Your vision might well be effected, your cognitive processing speed, your balance, etc. You realize, to do even simple things like brush your teeth requires the careful coordination of many fine motor skills- walking as well. Even if post event, you feel good and are only off ~5% (possibly not even noticeable to you), you will occasionally bump into things that you never would have before. This is important as a person slowly "Returns to Life." Another important point is that going back to a physical sport before you are FULLY healed could be a recipe for disaster. Future concussions and those you get before you are FULLY recovered from the first one have been known to be far more severe and can leave lasting effects. Another fun fact- your head doesn't even need to hit an object to give you a concussion- sudden movements like hitting the brakes in your car really hard can cause it. I am not a doctor and nothing I wrote is advice of any kind.

Once I was with my friends.... When I was going inside my house one of my friends threw a big firecracker near me. As has walking fast, I didn't expected it and got shocked. So, thanks to my height, I hit my head into the ceiling near the entrance. After hitting it I got down and i touched my skin. Then I realised that it was tore. After 20 seconds a lot of blood came out going down my face and I went on the hospital. Then I did stiches.

I was gonna take a picture of the full moon since it was my hobby to take pictures of the sky, once it stopped raining, I went up to the rooftop and took a photo of the moon, once I was done, I fell, I have a big lump in the back of my head and don't know what to do but I applied cold compress to it. Yesterday I crashed and hit a pole. The passenger side hit the pole. I was in the passenger side and wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. PLEASE WEAR SEATBELTS! I honestly can’t tell you exactly what I hit myself with. If it was the windshield or the dashboard. I blacked out and last thing I remember was screaming pointing at the pole but it was too late. I do remember being hysterical and running out of the car because my head was hurting, hearing was muffled and the entire right side of my body (shoulder, arm and leg) are scratched and bruised up. My head is bruised so bad that I didn’t have a balance, it took me a minute to process anything and I kept stuttering. It was like I could see but I couldn’t see and I could hear but I couldn’t hear. I was blinking so hard. I knew I was in an ambulance but for second I was like is this real? The passenger side of the car lifted 4 inches. The car is totaled. The hospital said I’m fine which I’m happy about but still feel weird. Maybe I’m still in shock? On the way back home to the hospital I was too scared. I kept looking at every pole making sure we weren’t getting closer. Please wear your seatbelt. I could’ve flew out the car if we were going faster. Please everyone drive safe and don’t look at your phone and drive. I’m so blessed to be home.

When I was 13 months I fell and hit my forehead on a rail at 22 months my father fell down with me in his arms he had a heart attack and died .at 7 I fell from monkey rings and landed flat out on my back from 9 feet . My mother was abusive and would pound my forehead in to the wall Happened quite a few times in my younger years. I had a pony that I fell off and landed on my back across a fallen tree hitting the back of my head on a big bolder @10y I fell out of a hammock and split the side of my head on a tree root By the time I made it to my teens I was blind sides with a nuckle buster across my nose and forehead from a mean girl. I was in a very abusive relationship ship where My bf at the time would beat me repeatedly punch me in the head. In my early 20s I was hit in the head by a object at a grocery store that fell from above at the checkout And several other accidents like getting a electric fence shock while horse back riding I fell off at a full gallop doing multiple sumersaults smashing my forehead each roll. There's about 5 or 6 more accidents With head/neck injuries I seem to fall down a lot more than I should be. I'm now close to 50y I am alone and broken mentally and physically always in pain from falling in a hole where only 1 leg fell in the hole. My husband at the time was very mean and long story short the family unit fell apart and I became the bad parent. Due to brain fog and traumatic events . Here in the Philippines if you didn't vomit however strong the hit was, it's not a big deal and the doctors will just send you away without even checking up on it.

@@alaialai4113 the symptoms of covid are way far different from that of accident however, vomiting should happen within 24-48hrs after accident. If it still happens now, it must not be related to her head at all. You should go to hospital for check up
I could barely walk 5 feet with out getting nauseous and very dizzy. When I tried to lay down it felt like there was a lot of pressure and fluid in the back of my head. Couldn't think straight at all. Bright lights, loud noises were painful

I hit my head on the corner of a kitchen wall cabinet, and even today 18 months later, it has not healed, The doctor sent me for 2 week "Urgent Referral" and they did a "Byopsy" But, so much has happened in my Life over the past 12 months, I visited my Mother every day, until she Passed Away, and I had to Move Out of the house where she was living, and in to an Apartment. So, my life has been on Hold over that period. In the meantime, I have developed "Balance Issues" and have Fallen Several Times. I have to Dress the wound each day, which has become a hole since the Biopsy. I peel the plaster off, and most days there is blood there. Should I be concerned about this?

He's taking Tylenol which helps the headache & Ibprofrien helps with the brain fog. Everyday is in alot of pain. I hope it gets better soon. He is normally athletic, surfs daily, runner - now he can barely talk & walk.

I really hope he went back to the e.r. A Brian bleed or trauma doesn't show immediately. My moth r r in law was hit by a car. She went to the e.r and everything looked OK. Very next day she passed out and when she went to the e.r there was a brain bleed. They had to take the slull bones out to get to the braid and drain it then put a prosthetic bone in

I hit the top of my head really hard yesterday. I was squatting down next to my front door to put my dog's harness on to go outside for a walk. When I stood up I rammed my head into the door knob and it hurt so bad. I went for the walk and it started hurting all over the top of my head and by last night it was tender all over and had a headache. I put an ice pack on it for awhile and now this morning I have blurry vision and feel a little wobbly. That's why I watched this video. It's scary and just need some reassurance 😕

Good video overall- some good general tips like be patient and when in doubt, as a default, see a doctor! That said, the brain is v e r y much a mystery and the reality is everyone is different. Given the same blow- some people will walk it off and the other might never be the same again- and have lifelong deficits. Whereas it might take some people "2 days" to feel relatively better, there are many others that can take 2+ years...and still not be the same. Even well meaning docs don't have all the answers. Unless you have a visible bleed (very bad), advanced imaging doesn't always offer much help. Brain scans will very often be "clear" even though many symptoms are ongoing (post-concussive syndrome)- again, the brain being a mystery.
A huge thing for people to be aware of is that if you had a concussion, you are very likely to get another one- and another after that. It's strange how that works- but it is absolutely true. In most cases, things will just be off. Your vision might well be effected, your cognitive processing speed, your balance, etc. You realize, to do even simple things like brush your teeth requires the careful coordination of many fine motor skills- walking as well. Even if post event, you feel good and are only off ~5% (possibly not even noticeable to you), you will occasionally bump into things that you never would have before. This is important as a person slowly "Returns to Life."
Another important point is that going back to a physical sport before you are FULLY healed could be a recipe for disaster. Future concussions and those you get before you are FULLY recovered from the first one have been known to be far more severe and can leave lasting effects. Another fun fact- your head doesn't even need to hit an object to give you a concussion- sudden movements like hitting the brakes in your car really hard can cause it.

When I was going inside my house one of my friends threw a big firecracker near me. As has walking fast, I didn't expected it and got shocked. So, thanks to my height, I hit my head into the ceiling near the entrance. After hitting it I got down and i touched my skin. Then I realised that it was tore. After 20 seconds a lot of blood came out going down my face and I went on the hospital. Then I did stiches.
I had a minor head injury a couple years ago where it hit my forehead on the edge of a garbage can. I fell forward, smacked my head pretty hard and got a nasty gash where I had to get 5 stitches. What's weird is after that happened, for about a week, I've had some pretty weird head dreams. Is that normal after having a head injury?

Yesterday I crashed and hit a pole. The passenger side hit the pole. I was in the passenger side and wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. PLEASE WEAR SEATBELTS! I honestly can’t tell you exactly what I hit myself with. If it was the windshield or the dashboard. I blacked out and last thing I remember was screaming pointing at the pole but it was too late. I do remember being hysterical and running out of the car because my head was hurting, hearing was muffled and the entire right side of my body (shoulder, arm and leg) are scratched and bruised up. My head is bruised so bad that I didn’t have a balance, it took me a minute to process anything and I kept stuttering. It was like I could see but I couldn’t see and I could hear but I couldn’t hear. I was blinking so hard. I knew I was in an ambulance but for second I was like is this real? The passenger side of the car lifted 4 inches. The car is totaled. The hospital said I’m fine which I’m happy about but still feel weird. Maybe I’m still in shock? On the way back home to the hospital I was too scared. I kept looking at every pole making sure we weren’t getting closer. Please wear your seatbelt. I could’ve flew out the car if we were going faster. Please everyone drive safe and don’t look at your phone and drive. I’m so blessed to be home.

@@alaialai4113 the symptoms of covid are way far different from that of accident however, vomiting should happen within 24-48hrs after accident. If it still happens now, it must not be related to her head at all. You should go to hospital for check up

I got yesterday my head bumped on the ground when i tried to perform pele kick....
Play fighting few years ago i smacked the top of my head on the ground😂, i blanked then all i could see is white i was gasping for air generally thought i died for a few seconds lol

@@jewel_throne2950 I used to be really good at spelling and have great photographic memory. Now, I tend to jumble up letters and have really bad short term memory. I also now have terrible decision making skills and get stressed out easily.

No you will not .... if you feel lightheaded nauseous and headaches .... it’s a concussion. I recently fell hit my head and passed out for few minutes .... so I have a concussion and deep cut on my head. Hope you’ll be extra careful and feel better.

I hit my head on the corner of a kitchen wall cabinet, and even today 18 months later,
it has not healed, The doctor sent me for 2 week "Urgent Referral" and they did a "Byopsy"
But, so much has happened in my Life over the past 12 months, I visited my Mother every
day, until she Passed Away, and I had to Move Out of the house where she was living, and
in to an Apartment. So, my life has been on Hold over that period. In the meantime, I have
developed "Balance Issues" and have Fallen Several Times. I have to Dress the wound
each day, which has become a hole since the Biopsy. I peel the plaster off, and most days
there is blood there. Should I be concerned about this?

so many people are talking about their concussions, and i'll just add on. yesterday, i fell of some sort of scooter called 'Delta Wing', i was going too fast and my foot went off, i tried getting it back on but i failed to do so, and the weight made the scooter fall over and i fell and hit my head, im trying to figure out what that ring was, i heard something in my head and i got really scared. can someone tell me what that ring was?

I just fell asleep after hitting my head hard on my wall and I fell asleep and when I woke up I couldn’t move some of my body and if I could it was kinda like slow motion and I tried feeling my face but I couldn’t feel my hand on my face and I could see a lot but I could barely open my eyelids..
My symptoms are still going on it's been 4 months I am having new symptoms it comes on when you think that they are leaving more come
everytime I get angry I lose control and I hit my head multiple times, today I hit my head so many times and I even used my phone. And I dont have money or anything cuz im a minor and my mom or my family and i are currently struggling with family problems, so I dont want them to worry. So I cant consult a doctor if my head might be having a serious problem rn, and im scared.

So earlier today. I was at the dog park, with my dogs. I reached down for their water bowl. And I dog came running just the second I reached down., and had my head down. The dogs head slammed into the side of my head. Excruciating pain for like an hr. Then it was on and off. My cheekbone is tender and swollen. It's been many hrs. And I'm getting sharp pain headaches. I'm thinking of go to er. Iv had concussions before.
