TheLuckyDawg24 Exactly ! But all 3 only as Facelift especially the E39 Pre Facelift looks ugly. The e46 Facelift is the best looking of the 3 this thing looks damn good.
The BMW e39 5 series is a timeless design, that sure doesn't look old even now, when the oldest examples are north of 20 years old. My daily driver is a BMW e39 535i, powered by the m62b35 v8 @ 3.5ltrs. A lovely engine that with the Remus exhaust makes lovely v8 noise but not too loud, and the car is very easy to work on.
Bruh, with a straight 6 engine, and rigid ass strength, with clean, timeless body lines, this is build like a shit brick house. I literally just got one of these yesterday. Score!
I agree with Douglas Chris Bangle is talking about the understatedness of the e39 being what BMW drivers look for then he put everything in a tin shook it up and poured out the e60 a totally radical overstated but technological marvel. The design language e34 before that was maybe to similar to the e39 and things needed a shake up. But I'm finding the the latest cars seem to echo the e39 more closely than any other model for me the greatest 5 series of them all .
Hi all I own and will never part with a E39 525d Se Es 2003 model last of the best till the edge design came out which is not anywhere near the E39. I didn't need another car but when I saw it on Auto Trader 2 years ago I snapped it up,as I had a Similar model years ago and regretted selling it. Car is finished off in Clear water metallic blue with grey unmarked leather interior, and silver trim as limited as it's the Es sport model not wood trim,it does do what it says on the tin,and original M Alloy wheels,5 Speed Manual. My advise is simple if you have one keep it if you want one buy one,Only buy the best you can afford although you better be quick as the genuine low milage and low owners are now few and far between.
Anything inbetween 1988'-2003 was elite and still is...had 2002 3.0d sport e39 tourer for 10 yrs.............i had to greive wen she went..............bought a e46 330 m sport,........v'good but obsessed rite now lookin for another e39.....i did'nt realise what i had with the e39........its now emotional.😂🚀
Ah...so THATS Chris bangle... they guy who basically ruined the design language of BMW. Look at the E39 - Elegant, flowing, understated. Then look at the E65 7 series... no comparison! I wish BMW would go back to those clean, unpretentious styles they did back in the 90s.
I disagree the dude revolutionized the industry. Look at the e60 one of bmw best sellers, a lot of car companies looked at his designs and adopted the bangle designs to their fleets....you see that present in Nissan Altimas, Toyota camrys, and Hondas. The next time you see an e60 5er just note that the vehicle is based on a 15 year old design....actually Bangle would have had to have designed the vehicle long before production so it's design is probably 18 yrs old but it still competes with brand new vehicles built in 2017. So please don't just accuse Chris of being a bad designer cause if you looked up his automotive history the guy has designed a boat load of vehicles that to date have stood the test of time, I understand that every now and then a design may flop but the dude is a legend just saying
If you close all bmw emblems on e60 you can’t even say what auto it is. Nothing to do with older or newer cars. F10 very similar to the e39, so pls, stop talking “how that was cool”
@@Hellafast2uDude of course you can, there's a set of visual cues incorporated in every car BMW designers draw, you just don't notice them. Horizontal, quad headlights, kidneys, Hofmeister kink on the C pillar are a Holy Trinity of BMW's design language.
look how modern it looked to all the cars around it..and how its still doesnt look dated to cars in the present..brilliant
E46 E39 E38 ... the most timeless cars ever made.

Im a big fan, but let’s be real, the orange reflectors will date any car. Euro versions are timeless for sure
@@xXxXAsatXxXx I think the E39 looks way better and more timeless than E46
You have to drive one of Bmw s finest examples to understand What A Car they created back then....

E39 was a beautiful car, made better with the updated version in 2000-2001 with angel lights !

E39 it’s love for life. I will never want another car.
Chris bangle the one who ruined the e60 and the 2003 7 series!
One of the best car in the world , y drive E39 for 15years , keep the first 14years , now another one , cheap , easy to work on it .
I almost bought the 1992 M5, many moons ago but my bank manager wasn't as thrilled, still my favourite model year.
I love my e39!!!
It’s the same colour as my E39 it’s even got the same wheels
