I honestly don't see what's so bad about this. Aside from that turning framerate (which to be fair even by itself is a reason to not buy this), it seems like a somewhat worse but still acceptable version of Hitman. If the framerate was fixed, I'd probably pick this up on a Steam sale.
Romando Kraus No definitely not (though I won't pay 50 bucks for a game, period, because student and budget issues). My point is everyone seems to act as though this was basically garbage, whereas I think it seems like a worse version of a good game.
This game has an interesting setting/premise, shame about the execution. As for hitman, well, that game's not complete yet so hey at least Alekhine got that going for it!
A lot of the criticism they lay on this game could also be laid upon Hitman. Not even the old ones, like, the new one too. It's not a GOOD Hitman but it's not necessarily the worst thing ever. Besides the wonky framerate, all the gameplay issues they bring up are literally pulled right out of Hitman. Still, this should not be worth $50 dollars.
Wow Alex didnt even give this game a chance, you can tell he doesn't want to play it at all. Giant Bomb needs someone who actually enjoys stealth games. Also having manual saves instead of checkpoints is awesome every stealth game should be like that, or at least have the option to pick which you prefer. Abysmal framerate though, I dont think its as bad on PC.
I think your right, I wonder why? Maybe because they have to playthrough it quickly to get a review out, or maybe they just don't have the patience. It always astounds me that someone can play 50-100% of a game and not even know the story. But after reviewing 500 games you probably dont care about story or anything else, unless it really stands out.
Honestly that Lock Picking minigame actually looks like one of the best I have seen in a video game. It at least has that.
That lock picking mini game is the best thing in this.
"That's the unity assest you get when you type in Italian"
Oh Vinny lol.
"It's hard to breathe with a framerate this low I guess."
Then I put two hats on, which was the style at the time...
yesssss!
Two hats, one KGB agent.
This game costs more to download on Xbox One than other platforms for some reason. The disc version in Europe is cheaper, though.
Pretty sure that compass in the top left is ripped straight from Hitman: Blood Money
+AgnosticSalmon I think I read somewhere that this game lifted quite alot from older Hitman games
When does the chess start
Not bad for a PS2 game
Snarky Alex is best Alex

So this is basically a shitty version of Death to Spies, is what I'm getting from this.
+Nnomad175 It started out as the 3rd game, Dead to Spies: Ghosts of Moscow. Hence, the very late last gen comment that Austin made, kinda holds true.

There is a thing with most the gaming press hating stealth and sports. Not sure why.

Did you figure out whether PC framerate holds up? This actually seems like a decent pre HITMAN 2016 game.
This game is shit. End.
