Geoff hits a B0 and Eli hits an A5. Definitely extremes for both of them. Not completely true to the original Halo theme, but a fantastic cover overall in true Voiceplay fashion. The tribute from Scott at the end was really touching as well. Great reaction as always ladies!

So Geoff hits two B0 subs in this cover. One at 3:47 and one at 9:56, it’s officially his lowest note. They also layered it with a B1 chest on top of the sub just to give it a little bit more volume and strength

Yall not being prepared for Geoff's low notes is pretty much a given at this point. Watching you react to Geoff opening with that E1 was fun. His next note being B0 was even more so. I think the only people who weren't blown away by that couldn't hear it.

The creator of the Halo soundtrack reacted to this with Elizabeth Zarhoff not too long along ago and was completely mind blown by their arrangement and talent.

Yes he was the original beat boxer of the group.
It shows in the 'red team/blue team' section, as that was him & Layne doing 'sounds'.
In fact when Scott left, Layne had to learn to cover his spot beat boxing.
Scott's main focus now is acting.
He was in Friday Night Lights, The Good Wife, Hart of Dixie, Scorpion & Lucifer along with movies, episodic TV (Law & Order among others) as well having done voiceovers for multiple video games.
He's sung with them on occasion this is one of them.

Be aware, Geoff just released his newest Halloween song. And considering the goosebumps and chills this is SERIOUSLY a spooky song.

Yes, Scott was one of the original members, the beatboxer at the time, together with Geoff, Layne, Earl and Mykal. He left around 2003.

Hold on to your hat for the Halloween songs. Geoff does it again with Monster Mash complete with a cameo from his wife Kathy and one of the monsters doing the floss at the end. VoicePlay is doing I've Got Friends On the Other Side with a return of ---drumroll please-- J NONE!!! Second note, Rek had a cameo in Boy Bands--he's the one who handed Earl a sandwich. Fun fact: Geoff said in an interview that they were all playing tackle football at someone's house during the high school years and Layne tackled Scott and broke his leg. Guess maybe Scott should have used the plasma bomb in the video and not Layne. LOL
I see the chills... and I'm fairly certain that they are multiplying throughout this video. It is an amazing performance, and I'm glad you got to enjoy this (rather than wait until after October). The dedication at the end... man, that broke us when we first watched that. I've since also learned that Rek briefly appeared in their Boy Bands in 5 Minutes video as the guy who brought the sandwich when they were huddled around the garbage can.
VoicePlay premiered another video game video a week or so ago. The Dragonborn Comes Skyrim is featuring Omar Cardona who sang Carry On Wayward Son with the group about a year ago. Their theatrics shine in this video.
The end was so nice. The video kept giving me chills. Did you notice while Eli went sky high, Cesar did a little undertone action? And Geoff is a master of bass. ❤️ Ya.

When my phone pinged with the notification for this my first thought was Oh good heavens I hope they had someone available to dial 911! They were all so amazing but Geoff & Cesar really blew my mind and Layne did such a fantastic job with the video editing on this. It was a wonderful tribute to their friend, Rek. I'm looking forward to seeing your reaction to Geoff's recently released Monster Mash and VoicePlay just dropped this years Halloween video to Patreon members a few hours ago so I'm sure that will be releasing publicly soon and I'm looking forward to your reaction on that one too!

Martin O'Donnell is an American composer known for his work on video game developer Bungie's series, such as Myth, Oni, Halo, and Destiny. O'Donnell collaborated with his musical colleague Michael Salvatori for many of the scores; he has also directed voice talent and sound design for the Halo trilogy.
The central focus of the franchise builds on the experiences of Master Chief John-117, one of a group of supersoldiers code-named Spartans, and his artificial intelligence (AI) companion, Cortana.
The original trilogy centers on an interstellar war between humanity and an alliance of aliens known as The Covenant (hence red/blue teams). The Covenant, led by their religious leaders called the Prophets, worship an ancient civilization known as the Forerunners, who perished while defeating the parasitic Flood. Each sequel gets into more detail regarding the wars & alien beings.
A few things:

Notice how he's centered a lot in this video and ends the video alone.
[Understanding the CGI of the video game the sequels were animated using the CGI at the time, as each sequel came around, they became more advanced, smoother & realistic.
Watching the VoicePlay video with that in mind, see how it's becoming more animated, popping in/out & morphing into each other. It's not exactly detailed as Halo but more it's good editing.]
- It would help if you listened to the original theme to hear how close they come to it even integrating the other sequels nuances into it.

I fall into the group that has never played the game and never heard the theme before watching this. (I listened to the official one after). That didn't detract one bit from how awesome the arrangement was. Geoff and Voiceplay are releasing new songs at a furious pace this last month. I assume you'll be reacting to Monster Mash soon.
I will not be surprised if Sara goes into labor after listening one of Voiceplay or Geoff's songs one of these days.
I've watched a couple of other reactors reacting to this and so far yours has been one of the best reactions. I said to myself before you started playing the clip that you would last about 2 seconds before your first pause....I was right....LOL I love your reactions so much.
I believe that this was Geoffs lowest note ever, a B0, I also believe that it was Eli's highest note ever a G5... I haven't played Halo, but I totally appreciated the beauty of this composition.
