This song brings me complete comfort as it reminds me of my grandmother, who passed. She was adorable, always walking around the house, jamming and singing different things, but this was always my favorite.❤
This is my papa's favorite song, he died of cancer. Sometimes on the radio, we end up coming across this song, reminding us he's with us. If he was able to beat cancer, he would have seen me learn how to drive, go to high school, and soon get a job. He help me with elementary school an some of middle school, and cancer got to him.
I first heard of this song when I was about 10. It was my first year in the UK and back then I couldn't speak any English. I was struggling at school and was stressed due to my lack of English-speaking. One day, our music teacher put this song on for us to listen and then try to rehearse it. I loved. However I couldn't ask what it was called and at the time I didn't have a computer at home to look it up. Months later I heard it again and this time I noted the name. I am 29 now and I still occasionally listen to this with my 4 year old daughter. What a beautiful song and voice. ❤
To the person reading this, Good Luck! Don't stress, everything will be fine. No matter what difficulty you are facing right now, you can overcome it! You are strong and brave.
Joshua 1:9 (KJV) Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
When I was a kid in 1992, my parents always took us to this diner that had a music box. Every single time we went there I begged my parents for a dollar so this classic song can be played on repeat 4 times in a row. The customers were annoyed but they had no idea how DEEP this song really is. Still remains my favorite song of all time. And I enjoy every genre of music.
My Mum said to me that when I was 3years old my nursery teacher asked me what my favourite song was and I had told her Stand by me by Ben E King. My Mum said she was shocked because she was expecting me to say a nursery rhyme, my Mum laughs about it even today. I'm 41 and it's still my favourite and I LOVE listening to this song.

This song always brings back memories of my friend who we lost three years ago in a car accident. We were just 16, full of dreams and laughter. It reminds me of the good times we shared and how much he meant to me. Listening to it makes me feel both sad and happy at the same time-sad for the loss, but happy for the memories. I still miss him every day and wish he were here with us. ❤️
My mom had a close friend that recently passed away. He cared so much not only for my mom, but for me and my sister too. He was a lot older than my mom, but had known her since she was about 11. I think He was like a father figure for my mom when she was younger, and they became very close friends over the years. He was such an amazing, nice and just happy man. He lived a fulfilled life. He never forgot me or my sisters birthday no matter how old he got. We just went to his funeral today, and before he died he asked to play this song at his funeral. So they did. I already loved this song before but now, it’s a lovely way to remember the man I looked up to, the man who taught me many things and the man who loved and cared for me and my family. Rest In Peace mark❤
As a 45-year-old war veteran, I’ve lost every relationship and failed at everything. One day, I was crying in bed and prayed to God. I told Him I had nothing to offer but my broken heart. He spoke to me, saying, “It’s okay to fall apart, I’ve got you.” Then He said, “I’ve got amazing things in store for you, just trust me.” 3 weeks later Seeing my life turn around for the good and God using Teresa Janette Brock, who changed my life. After reading about her, I found her website and reached out. Her kindness led me to a business venture I never imagined I’d enjoy. Her guidance gave me a new sense of purpose and community. Now, I feel more fulfilled and happier than ever. This song and Teresa’s influence have been true blessings in my life.!!!.-.

Every time I hear this song it gets me thinking of all the close people who I knew & loved that have died through out my life. like family & close friends. If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
Or the mountains should crumble to the sea
I won't cry, I won't cry, no, I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
And darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh, stand by me
