What would the global economy look like if the dominance of the dollar came to an end? In a multipolar world, the idea of the dollar ruling the economy seems less convincing. Consequently, the world's leading economies need to take action. This is precisely what China and India, two of the economically leading nations, have done. They have decided to abandon the dollar and conduct trade using their local currencies.
However, experts predict a possible backlash, potentially including sanctions from the United States. The question then arises: will these two nations be able to withstand such pressures, or will they eventually capitulate?

I believe that when a government controls world trade, such as the USD system, as well as those speculators in the commodities, equity, and real estate markets, are the most dangerous things to a planet wide economic system where individual countries should be free to make fiscal and economic policy without the threat of sanctions or being cutoff from a necessary payment system. My country (the U.S.) has abused this system, due to the USD's Reserve Currency Status, in many ways and has resorted to forced famine, deflaution of currencies, inability to inactive trade, assassinations, coups, color revolutions in order to install puppet governments, insurgencies in order to convince a nation to allow U.S. military bases with full access to the country and exemption from their laws, etc., etc., many of which the U.S. is doing this very minute. These economic shifts away from the dollar are only the beginning of the dismantling of large hegemony groups such as the U.S. and the E.U. THIS India/China currency trade use agreement is a great start.
Just look at the war in Ukraine and Palestine. The US DOLLAR has played its part there.
Full support by USA is primarily because of FEDERAL reserve which is owned by private bankers

as I'm Australia what's puzzles me why we use USD in our transaction instead of currency of the countries we trade with. USD is the middleman making money through USD. It’s such a wonderful thing to trade in local currencies.
When I think of BRICS I look at smaller countries opening up there unknown ideas, products and services for inclusion in world trade.
The US Dollar has to use only in the USA and thats it. .
Unfortunately it’s not so simple and will not happen quickly, particularly in Europe, a region effectively controlled by the USA with carrot and stick politics. Those countries holding dollar debt and US treasury bonds would have to reduce this bit by bit over time. Even then there would be major fiscal shocks.
The USA will do everything it can to stop this trend of decoupling, even though it is logical for countries to decouple or at least reduce their risk/dependence on USA dollar, starting with sanctions, proceeding to physical threats, attempted coups and eventually invasion. Sounds familiar 🥴. That’s the way of American hegemony.

Yes, China and India should go ahead with their bilateral agreement on currency trade payment. The US dollar as the acceptable currency of settling international trade is ending. I predicted this about two years ago. The rest of the world cannot continue financing the US extravagant spending most of which are in the US military industrial complex, then liberally printing money at its pleasure with the international States absorbing the shocks only to repeat the cycle.
What does this mean to the American citizens? How do they trade in the dollar before it becomes worthless?...
