I have a newfound hatred for them. They've killed me several times while being a beach bob on official due to no item or dino transfers, and multiple times when I tp straight into their jaws. Yet this will be helpful when I finally decide to tame one despite the trouble they've given me, so thanks raas. (To clear up any future replys asking, you can tp on official in fjordur. Its done by holding X on xbox and ive. Been told R on pc. I'm doing this parentheses cuz many people on 1924 dont knoe you can tp)
Overall I quite like the taming method. Unlike the Equus or Amargasaurus. Can be done early, but having gear and experience gives you advantages. It's perfectly possible without a trap, and has a logical reason why you can't just trap it. You can brute-force it with respawning if you don't fully understand the mechanics yet, making it beginner-friendly. The risk/reward balance for when to get off is great. Big/fast enough that many creatures don't interrupt taming.
It would be nice if there was a different way rather than red/green since its really difficult to distinguish between them when you can't see colour properly
A lot of games have a colourblind option that changes it to red/blue, but it is Ark after all... I'm not colourblind, but I've thought about this a lot with Gen 2 missions that require colour matching.
I have a question! So right before the rage meter is full and I jump off while still wearing my specific suit, will it not hunt me down? Can I continue then without a worry and some distance?
Ee looks kinde hard to tame it one they could run into anything hostile and then it ruins the taming effectenins it’s the same with eguus wich I had today I tried to tame one and. It ran off the flipping cliff that’s also annoying when ur trying to tame them u can’t see anything around u expect the way u are going so but I might tried it seeing as raas had a top rated taming explainer and I mean that u explained everything perfectly for everybody ur the best
i was going to make a huge behe trap for it like 10 gates since sometimes they fuckin glitch in rocks or sides of landscapes and the arrors sometimes fucks with me . i got one tho but the 145 is a bitch
Thanks for the video. Do you know if the Andrewsrchus stays hostile if it resets the taming? I tried taming one with honey, and I had it at 88 percent then when it calmed down I was at 0 percent taming?
@@AdamGamingARK the bar where it shows taming and the efficiency starts to fill up, when it's almost fully red jump off or u will ruin the taming effectiveness
@@AdamGamingARK I just realised that the character bug is because of my ps4 downloading an update and for some reason not being able to save the game, probably cuz it put saving on queue somehow till the update would've installed. I've disabled auto updates now

A pain to tame, and even if I do everything perfectly, still only 98% effective? Nah, passing on this guy, the bat is difficult enough without having a net gun. 😒

I had 99% tamed then a dilo hit it and it went down to 0% so I smashed my controller 😀👍
Me to 🤣😂🤣shitty dino

@@macroglossumstellatarum5932 Yeah when I saw playthrough of Gen 2 a part of me just went 'yup not completing that content anytime soon'
Thanks Raas for the video, have a nice day !
Thanks Raas! This guide was much needed for my taming on Fjordur😆
Alas the tropeo saddle shall forever remain alone in the fabricator
So helpful! Thanks, mate!!
Thanks for the guide, was pretty easy, bagged myself a lvl 135 today.
Nice! going to try and get one of these tonight!
Ahhh!! I was literally just trying to find this video!!!
Good information many thanks dude
I feel like it’s very easy to tame, and a very good tame because it’s different mechanics
Thanks buddy. I was trying to knock it out. 😂
I shot it with 40 Tranq Arrows and it went to Sleep lol 😆. Thanks for the Tutorial 👍💯🔥
Such a good creature
If you go in first person in the andrewsarchus saddle and look around there is drawings and the direwolf eyes are now red in the new update
Taming an Andrewsarchus is like a mini game
Really enjoyed the vid really liked ur voice i dont even own ark though
Did you try the mixture you make with the desmodus I'm pretty sure it gives 30% taming progress
He did
Yup
When do you do it?
I thought it only works with knock out tames
How do you give it to the andrew?
I have a question! So right before the rage meter is full and I jump off while still wearing my specific suit, will it not hunt me down? Can I continue then without a worry and some distance?
Once you jump off just back away really quickly, it worked for me and they didn't attack me.
@@FeliciteAlarie Oh alright, thank you!
I struggled to find a high level one I had to settle for a level 95 😫😫

North

Yes
Nice
Well that's a bonus least that helps keep peeps away from my base 😁 Helm's Deep!
I dont get it how they are tamed xD the minigame part looks confusing.
On Xbox which button do u use when taming?
Triangle
Everytime i try to drop honey it drops a box i play in ps5 could anyone tell me what key i need to press to thorw it ?
You need to press the corresponding key of the slot the honey is in on the hotbar, rather than actually dropping it.
Hot bar it

Ay I'm the first also the vid is great raas 👍👍🔥
I am so done with Fjordur, overspawning and there is now a bug on ps4 where it logs you off from your character and has you make a new one, why ark.
Luckily I didn't have any bugs in pc.even after loading more 10 mods.
