I don't know how you stayed patient through all those checks in Charles De Gaulle airport. You say you have issues controlling your temper but you did really well at that airport, better than most I bet. Glad it's all over for you now. Hope you and Nicole had a lovely time in Paris, all annoying checks aside.
I am sorry you had to go through that, but you seem pretty good now, laughing about it. I know it's totally on a different level but my passport says my maiden name but my tickets say my married name and I had to take my translated marriage certificate with me to America to prove I was the same person with two names. Pain in the neck. I'm sure your advice is really appreciated by a lot of other people. I like to hear about your experiences I hope your future travels it will be easier though.
after that horrible experience in the Paris airport its good that guy from TSA thought you were that convincing :) that would have made my day :) glad you had a good time there man!
Yikes! 6 times is ridiculous! Sorry it upset you so much. :/ Thanks for sharing the experience! I hope I don't travel until after all my documents match up! It sounds like a miserable experience.
I'm actually too scared to fly these days. I'm still recovering from having been forced to strip naked at school for communal showers after sport. I have a lot of body issues, partly to do with being transgendered, partly other reasons. I have written this blog which mainly looks at my childhood experience but also explains why I'm too scared to fly miadotcom.wordpress.com/2012/12/02/how-being-forced-to-use-communal-changing-rooms-at-school-affected-me/
Hearing this makes me disgusted honestly. I can't believe how you were treated. Even if they were polite, you don't deserve to be treated like that. In a way you were discriminated from the get-go from the beginning even if that might be some protocol. I am so sorry you went through this :(
Glad you hear your great experience back to the states! And thank you for your advice!
