I'm a huge fan of the Yardrat look in base form and recently ordered this pair on Ebay from Japan for $85 total! They're ironically going to arrive while I'm in Japan on holiday, haha. I'll keep the legends version, as it pairs perfectly with the legends Trunks because it looks like Trunks is drawing his sword to hit Goku's finger. I love the accurate red colour of the trousers on the new ones! That annoys the heck out of me with the legends version, haha. Awesome review!

I like the Legends version more just because of him holding up his finger ☝️ Such and iconic moment for me. One of my favorite DB Goku moments when he blocks Trunks' sword 🗡 with just 1 finger

@MatchesPeaches base form I definitely like tho. The super saiyan pose is just so static for me, but definitely accurate for that moment in the series

Definitely getting the base form looks awesome with the glasses! But passing on the ssj form cuz the legends figure looks cooler is more iconic with the finger blade. I would get it if they added an extra arm for the finger blade to make it worth the $60

These are my opinions my friend and these opinions have nothing to do with just because I have the Legends Collab SSJ Goku and I didn't want the Masterlise ones, so here goes, in relation to the Legends Collab figure having a smaller head or torso, is normal they are different lines and if you notice the figures from the Legends Collab line are always a little smaller than the Masterlise ones so it's normal, another detail that I think the Legends Collab Goku SSJ was better in the SSJ Goku Masterlise figure, was the pants remember Goku in SSJ his pants turn orange due to the SSJ aura this was something that was missing from the SSJ Masterlise!

@@GreverZX they usually come out about 6-10 months after the Japanese release. Not sure exactly when.

I don’t think you should doc points for reusing the same sculpt u should simply rate them on howngood they are I don’t think the fact that there are two makes either figure any less desirable or lower quality
I understand. Personally - I find it lazy. Think - I have to pay $60-70 for EACH of them when it could have easily been one figure OR they could have made the sculpt a bit different. Just bugs me and I have to be strict with how I rate them. 7/7 figures are supposed to be the best of the best and this practice doesn’t reflect that
@@MatchesPeaches I just feel as if each figure could be absolutely perfect in every way even if they are similar I don’t think that makes them worse purely when looking at the figure all of that other stuff shouldn’t be factored in I don’t think the average consumer feels like they “have” to buy both and they get to choose which version but I do agree it would be nice for them to be the same figure
@@wildcats2360 yeah my reviews are based on Knowledge on what’s going on in the hobby. If I ignored the fact that Bandai just reused an old sculpt or the same sculpt for profit then that would be unfair.

From the kuji I was considering getting the Base Yardrat Goku but I really dislike how it leans back.
Hmm I don't notice a lean? You mean his torso? I think most Masterlise figures are like that
@@MatchesPeaches yeah, that's what I meant. Don't really like how far back they made his torso lean.
The SSJ form is good with the nice red color trousers but the hairs and face are not very true and accurate to the anime in contrary of the Legends Collab figure. it also more stylish in terms of charisma. I find this new one more banal.
However the normal form is clearly the best, especially with the Kamesennin glasses😊👌.
For me, SSJ: 4/7, Goku Sennin: 6/7

The choice is sometimes harder when you have some specific points on two figures. The Legend Collab figures are very amazing and the price is also lower than Masterlise. The Masterlise are very balanced in size but the quality is not always here.
Look at The Trunks/Goku/Gotenks/Rosé collab versus the last Trunks Masterlise or Gohan SSJ/Piccolo DBS for example... The Legend win hands up the fight.
Anyway it's an alternative for some points.
