To answer your question at 10:37 He's actually performing the scales in classical Hindustani music (Sargam) : "Sah Re Ga Ma Pha Da Ni" it sounds like scatting because of how insanely quickly he's performing it without taking a breath, sheer talent at its finest

It is classical Raag, so yes similar to scatting using the classical notes, he is the nephew of the great Pakistani qawalli singer Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan who was also his teacher and who's 'scatting' as such was infamous, i hope you all get to hear his uncle, they come from a family that goes back generations in their training in classical music.
It's amazing to see like legends are legends for a reason. Even singing in a different language he made you feel that no one is better than him in vocals in just few minutes.
