Got all 4 wisdom teeth extracted at once, and some of them were stuck under my jaw bone so they had to cut away some of the bone. Only received a local anesthetic.
But for a friend of mine it was a 10 minute procedure with very little pain afterwards. So it totally depends 🤷♀️
how tho? i had one wisdom tooth removed (it was still beneath my gum), the procedure took like half an hour, they cut away some of the bone, and i was swollen for like 2 weeks straight and for the first 3-4 days i couldnt sleep because of the pain while on painkillers lol. also how did you eat if all 4 of them were removed at once, wouldn't there be a possibility of some insane infections if a piece of food gets stuck in the wound?

I got all 4 as well as one faulty extra so 5. None in my jaw though it was still fucked
From what I have studied, antibiotics bind to some parts of the bacterial cell which causes the bacteria to not make proteins, causing them to die. Bacteria can gain resistance to antibiotics when they mutate and the binding sites alter, so that the antibiotic can't bind to the bacteria anymore. I'm guessing that when this happen, we can use other antibiotics that target other parts of the cell or make antibiotics corresponding to the new binding site.
For testing antibiotics, they are subjected to antibiotic sensitivity test. They just see if the bacteria will grow in the presence of the antibiotic

I got mine out, went home took some Percocet and passed out. The sutures were annoying but had no pain or swelling. Couple weeks the sutures dissolve away and everything’s healed

I got 4 of them at once they didn’t give me enough anesthesia. But the recovery wasn’t bad they did a clean extraction.
they only gave me a numbing agent, one of my teeth was impacted, they took all 4 out, and it took 6 days for swelling to go down and 2 weeks maybe to fully heal
edit: the impacted tooth had to be cut in half and removed with tweezers so no jaw cutting

anti biotics is only for removing the pain in you gums .... is like sion when he died got revive to fight and won but he died too.. so only the pain go away for a moment and will comeback later... best thing is to remove the problem

I still think back with horror on my wizard teeth extraction. No full anesthesia in my country (for sensible reasons), and local anesthesia didn't work enough. Plus the doctor not being able to get a good grip (or something like that?), leading to minutes of scraping/sawing?

i got removed 4 at once, the procedure wasnt that bad (15-20 mins it was over) the whole process afterwards was just annoying bec i couldnt eat normally and talk or open my mouth normally for like a month, thats the bigger deal actually but taking them out wasnt painful at all
really depends on the wisdom teeth. I had a friend who had all 4 taken out and none were impacted. he was swollen for a week and on liquids. I had all 4 taken out by the same doctor and all were impacted and I was eating pizza that night. was I sore, yeah but I didn't need pain killers.
This reminded me that i still need to get 1 of my wisdom tooths removed.
