If you mean motorbike, I would say yes, it is possible. Of course, you need to check before what mountain you are talking about because maybe hiking is the only way. But everywhere in Vietnam you can rent a motorbike and go around which is the easiest and fastest way. I have another episode where I went from Vinh to Pu Mat by bike, amazing experience but I would stay overnight there if I knew. Because place is magical.

You really don't need a travel guide. All you need is phone, Internet and GPS. I was using everywhere where I wanted to go GPS, and at the hotel, I was planning where I wanted to go. I hired once a guide, but when I wanted to hike Fansipan in Sapa. If you have any more questions, I'm happy to help 😊
@uncomplicated_life_ Oh, and btw, the village in the mountains I am wondering about is Tri Le. It is up West in the mountains going towards Laos. It would be great if you could plan a trip there and document it as well!
