KAI'SA UPDATE: We were able to get her into an early appointment for the tooth extraction last week and she did so good, she is just about fully recovered after the surgery. Just wanted to update in case you were wondering. ❤
I'm glad she's doing well. I had to take my kitty in to get a broken tooth extracted recently. He hates me now because he has to take anti-inflammatory pain meds till he's healed. Hopefully, he will forget all about it and love me again. 😀
I love hearing all about perfume. I'm a big scent junkie and I constantly try new ones. One of my favorite spicy sweet fall/ winter perfumes is Burberry Her. Diptyque has some beautiful scents as well in both candle and perfume forms. 💚💛💜💙
I just bought the Kayali pistachio and it’s amazing! I don’t really care for sweet perfumes but this one is special. The first time I sniffed it I was like ew no, but I just kept coming back to it and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. That’s how you know it’s a good one.
I found it very intriguing and original. Bizarre, but yummy! I thought the longevity was surprisingly good for a gourmand fragrance. The rich warm notes help anchor it and keep it around a good while imho.
Same here - I'm German. We also have 'Christmas tea', that's black tea with spices (cinnamon, cardamom, clove) and tangerine flavor. The smell transports me right back! (Lush's Jolly shower gel smells exactly like this, too!)
A. I'm SO excited you're doing more fragrance content! I love fragrance almost as much as eyeshadow so this is heaven for me. B. It's amazing how similar our tastes are! You go a little more green than me and I will go a little more sweet than you but it's amazing to have someone I already watch and trust do videos about this stuff! 3. I'm so glad to hear you didn't end up liking Suede Pony either! I thought *for sure* I'd like it... and... no. Missing Person is like that for me too. I *want* to love it, and every time I smell it, I'm just like.... meh.
Tangerine for Christmas is something my dad would always talk about. When he was growing up that’s what they would get for Christmas. A brown bag filled with tangerines, apples, and hard candy.
Oranges tangerines and mandarins for christmas decor and eating is common in US. Love to push cloves into them for decor and room fragrance as well as simmer a pot of water with citrus, cranberry, cardamon and clove for a christmas fragrance throughout the house. We had a wood burning stove growing up and at christmas we would simmer this on the stove in the family room...brings me happy memoriea❤😊 I will say we have strong Nordic heredity.
After you talked about Byredo Pulp a few months back, I ordered a 1ml sample online and instantly fell in love. I was lucky enough to get a gift voucher for a fancy department store for Christmas, so I used it to cover half the cost of the full size bottle. I can't stop using it, and I dread the day that I finish the bottle because I don't know if I can justify spending £200 on another one! One of the most gorgeous perfumes I've ever owned, and I always get compliments when I wear it 💜
@@Call-me-Al Absolutely! That's just the bit I'm struggling with - all of the usual places where I can get a discount don't actually stock the Pulp scent, so it's difficult to find at a lower price. Hopefully I can make this bottle last until Christmas and then maybe ask for it then 😊
I snagged Kayali’s Pistachio and was shocked to smell lime, even more surprised to find that lime isn’t one of the notes! 😆 either way, I really enjoy it and the bottle is a beauty.
I have the Commodity Book+ scent; it smells like an old library,, I love the mustyness.. here is the description (This crisp, woody fragrance tips its hat to the Hemingways and Fitzgeralds of the world, conjuring the warmth of a quiet moment curled up with a good book. Its complex blend of sparkling Bergamot, crisp Eucalyptus and warm Sandalwood results in an unexpectedly fresh scent.)
I was the girl that only enjoyed 2 fragrances her whole life (RL EDT for Women and D&G Blue, Lol!)… until I turned 30 this year. Even I’m surprised about how much I’ve enjoyed exploring different scents, and I’ve really taken a liking to warm notes. Replica’s Jazz Club has quickly become my go-to evening fragrance. I love watching your perfume content! The next time I’m at a Sephora, I’m definitely giving Angel’s Share a sniff.
Yay, I've been waiting for this! I believe tangerines and oranges for Christmas are a thing for the entire Central & Eastern Europe :D Angel's Share is on the verge of being too much for me, but I fell in love in Apple Brandy on the Rocks, it's beautiful and festive. My favorite ways of layering perfume is pairing too bright fruity scents, like Eden Juicy Apple reads to me, with something warm spicy. And tomato with green / basil scents. Love!
yea! Angelica perfume recs are my favs bc youre one the few ladies who prefers green and fresh and masculine scents. Nothing too sweety or food-y. Glad doggo is ok
I knew this was gonna be a good video when we spiraled into the first spritz😂bonus shoutout to whoever edited this video. thank you for sharing your love of fragrance. Love ALL your videos!!🧡
Speaking of layering perfumes... I am hoping to soon be able to purchase the Jazz Club and By The Fireplace perfumes from Maison Margiela. I smelled them for the first time at Sephora in Mexico in 2019 and I am still obsessed! Recently I tried layering them when I saw them in a shop and it had me hooked 😍 I'm calling the mix Private Members' Lounge 😂
I think you would like Sunshine by Amouage and Ouverture by xerjoff which are fruity, but a little spicy or even Farah by Brecourt which is similar to Oajan by Parfums de marly (a beautiful strudel scent) but for a much lower price🥰
Kaisa is so sweet glad she is doing great! And lovefest burning cherry also grew on me so I now have the tester and the 50 ml. Its so good mixed with Ambery or spicier perfumes but also with fruiter ones. I love it on its own but it gets elevated mixed as well! I have a kayali sample set and have been mixing it with things and each combo has been so good! Commodity milk is one I initially hated but once I finished my sample I am in the okay this is good its not my favourite though. I think you are spot on about mixing it part of me wants another travel spray so I can experiment with it.
I picked up a sample of Basilico and Fellini after you mentioned it in another video. Both my mom and I love it. It’s refreshing yet sophisticated and never gives me a headache. As someone who’s sensitive to a lot of perfume, this is big victory. Thanks for your reviews!
I do love green scents, so I love your perfume selections! My personal new favorite is "Enchanted Forest" by Vagabond Prince: blackcurrant leaves, forest pine and balsam, and a bit of wine - so green and intoxicating!
"Smells like rich aunts coat stuck in the closet for 20 yrs" 😂😂😂 Girl I love you! Hahaha. I love Skylar, Vanilla Sky so much it was one of my choices for my Ipsy/Boxy this month in a rollerball. So happy because yes samples are generous. With this one it will last me a long time.
I can't wear perfume because I am very scent senstive but I still loved this video! I associate tangerines with Christmas as well, always got one in my stocking. I am from Newfoundland, Canada
I am a Fraghead. I’ve been collecting since I was a pre-teen and I follow a lot of fragrance reviewers. I love listening to people who share this passion. I’ve always thought fragrance was the most incredible part of my beauty journey. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings about fragrance.
I went to Sephora to smell the Kayaki Yum Pistachio Gelato on your recommendation but I didn't love it. However, I was able to smell Kayali Eden Juicy Apple as well and I LOVE IT!! Bought the travel size but will definitely buy the full size after it's gone.
I do want to get the Kayali pistachio eventually. Lauren Mae beauty turned me onto the Sunny side up perfume from Juliette has a gun. It's a creamy sandalwood. I love pairing it with Demeter's coconut. I just recently got a perfume through Scentbird that hits those fruity/spice/booze notes. Scents of wood's Plum in Cognac is amazingly warm spiced fruit. I'm going to have to save to afford a full bottle eventually. The perfume guy, Sebastian, raved about that being the best one from the house.
I've purchased two Replica fragrances after learning about the brand from you so I'm excited to watch this video 😍 I love your approach to fragrance and am trying to wear it more often now
Glad to hear Kai'sa is doing better. Most of the perfume's you mentioned sound lovely. I have Angels Share and whenever I wear it I get compliments; I agree about the phantom apple pie note, its why I love the scent so much.
😍 I've been really excited for this video! I have a hard time finding perfumes I like, they're always too floral or sweet. I'm always taking notes when you talk about perfumes, because you have an interesting taste and most of your favorites sound lovely 😍
I do not like perfumes generally, But i like a lot of Kayali perfumes. The apple scent is my favorite but i really love burning cherry too! I love your perfume videos!
I like fragrance videos since I'm open to hearing about scents that I might like or other people like since too strong perfumes are too much for me. This video was great, because Angie really tries out the scents in all sizes & doesn't pretend to wear them for clout or free PR sponsorships from brands. She seems to enjoy her fragrances for herself. On another note, I'm glad to read Ka'isa is doing much better.
So I saw your initial reaction to the Hermès perfume and I went on a whim and got it blindly. (I had just gotten back from a day in Paris and wanted something like the scents I smelled there) Omg I LOVE it! My wife really does too. I’m so glad I didn’t see this one first 😂😂. But I can definitely see how some might not like it. I tend to not like many mainstream smells, so I went with my gut. And I also decided to also get the Kayali Yum since you love that one too, and I’m not disappointed!! Thanks for getting me excited about perfumes again!!
Orange/tangerine and spices is a very winter/end of the year festivities association in France too, I think it’s pretty common in (northern-ish) Europe ? Definitely the case in Germany too.
That Byredo perfume sounds right up my alley. For me it also sounds like a summer garden. I love the idea of it, but the price...no... It would be lovely if you told how long a perfume last (like you said for some of them), because I think it's important.
Mandarines, Clementines and Tangerines are very much associated with winter/christmas/advent in Germany as well 😃 I always got a Nikolaussack (st. Nikolaus is on dec 6th) with nuts, chocolate and mandarines and the just the smell alone reminds me so much of winter and coziness, I love it! Thanks for the reviews, I was unsure if I should get the kayali pistachio scent, but I think you convinced me 😃 and I wish a speedy rest recovery and that she won't have any problems with her teeth anymore! Also Chemistry Funfact: Cherry Pits (same as Apricots) contain amygdalin, that is transformed to hydrocyanic acid (amongst others), which is also in bitter almonds, that have been used to make marzipan when sweet almonds were too expensive (it's then called Persipan) so it makes absolute sense you thought of marzipan with the cherry perfume 😊
I got tangerine boy and I love the punch of citrus. It doesn't last long on me but leaves a kind of masculine smell after. I gotta find more citrus scents!
I love Kai'sa in your videos. She so beautiful! I'm glad to hear she's doing well after her surgery. I love your perfume videos, you have a great way of discribing the scents that let's me know if it would be something I am interested in. I definitely just added a few scents to my list to smell, based on your discriptions. I know you say these videos don't do well, but I hope you continue to talk about fragrance in any of your videos, since I watch them all lol. I also definitely signed up for scentbird because of you and I've been loving it so far. ❤
I loveeee your perfume videos! Was super happy to hear ellis brooklyn's super amber come up - it's one of my favorite mixing perfumes that I don't think gets enough love from the fragrance community. You also had me dyinggg at the rich aunt's coat that's been hanging in the closet for 20 years description. I haven't smelled that particular perfume before but from the description alone I can perfectly imagine in lol. This is kinda random but I think it'd be so fun if someday you did a fragrance collab vid with Lauren Mae Beauty! You both have a great talent of building up a mental image when you describe scents that I think would pair well together. Also glad Kai'sa is doing well!! ❤
For Mothers Day I got my mom a rollerball of Gucci Bloom (I kinda want to get my own now!) and I bought a 1 oz of YSL Libre. I'm not good at describing scents but it has lavender, orange blossom, and some muskiness. It's described as a warm floral but it also smells like fresh and clean!! I am just starting my real perfume journey (I had a few perfumes a few years ago but my smell preferences have changed lol. My fav perfume is Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance. I'm almost out of my 1/2 oz, I need to get more!!
So glad Kai’sa is feeling good after her surgery! 🖤 Love your comments on the fragrances. We tend to have very similar taste in scents, so I followed your recommandation and got myself a travel size of the Kayali for my birthday (and it should come tomorrow on the day of and I can’t wait to try it). Initio is a brand I just adore and I cherish every drop of their perfumes. I love an oud so oud of greatness is a great love of mine, as is aphrodisiac. Now, I’m adding Rehab to my list of fragrances to try! 😍
We have very different ideas about what “refreshing” is! I love Pulp, but to me it is a blast of the jammiest, most ripen fruits that are juuust on the verge of turning rotten. And then the very prominent fig note that contributes to the WALL of fragrance this is creating. Yes, it’s super fruity, but poootent. A few sprays to much of this concoction and you will choke out everyone around you. I’ve done it on several occasions! 😅🤷🏻♀️💃🏻
Angel’s Share reminds me of breakfast in the best way possible. It’s so yummy like cinnamon French toast. When I wear it I feel like I’m eating brunch in a speakeasy 😂
I love the way you describe perfume, Angie. I grabbed a little bottle of the Ellis Brooklyn Salt based on the way you described it. Sounded right up my alley, and it was!! Actually smells exactly like Tom Ford Black Orchid, which I already own 🤣 Also glad I took your advice on getting the little bottle lol. The Tom Ford may be a little richer but really, they're practically identical. If you like the Black Orchid but want a more wallet friendly version, try the Salt!
Starting the video as I had a long day (gaming lmao). I can't wait to try the Kayali Pistachio, I had been tempted to order it a few times. Had you seen the upcoming new Killian's fragance? It's a new take of the Princess one, with Bergamot, Green Tea, Ginger and Mashmallow! I'm so curious!
This is literally the kind of video I sit down to watch with a notepad in hand. 😂 You should get sponsered by some perfume vendor, I bought like my last 3 after your review and they are great!
I really enjoy the perfume content because I find we have similar tastes often. I’ve bought several perfumes on your recommendations and I love them. That being said the word review in the title had me hoping you would be talking about longevity in this video and projection.
I do mention longevity where I think its a problem. Projection I dont care about at all. I wear perfume for me, not others 🙈 So if they can smell it or not doesnt bother me as long as I can.
@@AngelicaNyqvist I see where you’re coming from. Totally agree with your stance. I too wear perfume for myself, although I do occasionally enjoy wearing a perfume that my husband likes 😊. I pay attention when people talk of projection because I hate strong smelling/ projecting perfumes. They mostly give me a head ache (I suffer from migraines) and it’s something I want to avoid.
I just got a sample of ingenious ginger by goldfield and banks. Very interesting scent. It’s growing on me. I love ginger. Please do more perfume videos 😊
I love Goldfield and Banks. My favourite at the moment is Purple Suede. Their leather fragrances are wonderful. But not just leather, they have so many great ones.
I have been on a perfume journey this year. I really like Kayali Citrus. I joined Scentbird and have been enjoying new things. Bergamot seems to be the common denominator in most of the scents towards which I gravitate.
I love the idea of tangerine for Christmas I think that would be fantastic you're gonna make me go and check this perfume out also prayers to your Fur baby. 🙏🏽💖
I like fruity scents but I wouldn’t say I love them but I do love Mango Skin. I also like poets of Berlin which has a blueberry note. 🙂 Glad Kai’sa is doing well.
Germany does mandarin oranges (or sometimes oranges and tangerines) for Christmas too. I totally associate that type of citrus with some warmth with Christmas too. I smelled some of the Phlur in store and I could barely smell them. Do you also find this to be a soft one or maybe the bottles at Sephora were just getting a bit old?
I love this content! And I love byredo perfumes they have such fresh and interesting scents, I m definitely going to try to keep my eye on it! Thank you on the update on Kaisa I m so glad she is doing better!
I am waiting for a sephora order with a hair hare product and I had to add the juicy apple in it. So gla sephora germany also does sell some scents in a 10ml one. I have no sephora close enough to go sniff it live. But I discovered a great German site where they offer perfume samples and sniffed my way through some.I so get your passion for perfumes. If only this was a less expensive passion 😂. I fell in love with a coffee perfume: maison tahite - velvet coffee. 😅
I'm desperate to find a perfume that smells like Oahu coconut Sunset from Bath and Bodyworks. Also the Sol Body line from Colourpop is very similar to that. Does anyone know any perfumes like that? Coconut with White tropical flowers, Bergamot and Amber? It's so yummy but the body mist from BBW lasts like half an hour.
Absolutely love your perfume videos and reviews. I’m a perfume junkie and have purchased some based on your recommendations. Commodity Milk was perfect! One question, what did you have on your eyes? The colors were gorgeous!!
in Austria we have tangerines in winter time too, for St. Nickolaus /Krampus day... it's common to gift goodie bags made of linen with tangerines and peanuts and chocolate 😊
I don't buy perfumes every easily. There a lot of money. But when someone explains how thes sends smell to them. And not just the notes. It always helps me deside
Love perfume videos! Angels Share is my favorite and most complimented fragrance. I’m planning to get my hands on Kayali Pistachio because it’s all over my FYP and I’m a gourmand lover. I actually have a bunch of samples arriving today 😂 love the perfume content 🖤
Denmark also does a lot of tangerines and oranges at christmas, tangerine boy sounds amazing. I got so excited that you like angels share, it is such an amazing scent. If you like Kayali Lovefest burning cherry, I think you will like room 1015 Cherry punk. It's cherry similar to Kayali or Tom Ford lost cherry but with a smokey leather note... It's amazing.
Well, I heard a lot people said that Victor&Rolf Spicebomb is similar to Initio Rehab. Maybe you could try that one to see if it fits as cheaper alternative 😉 Spicebomb is marketed as men fragrance but I personally think that it’s pretty unisex scent.
In Southern Alabama we grow satsumas (similar to tangerines, more tart) and they're just ripening around the holidays, so I definitely get the citrusy-Christmas association! Everyone I know has at least one satsuma tree (bush) in their yard

I found it very intriguing and original. Bizarre, but yummy! I thought the longevity was surprisingly good for a gourmand fragrance. The rich warm notes help anchor it and keep it around a good while imho.
Tangerines at Christmas! It's not only Swedish. In Poland it was a staple like 15-20 years ago🤩 Reminds me of Christmas at my grandparents😍
same in all post soviet countries as well 😅🎄🍊

Also Chemistry Funfact: Cherry Pits (same as Apricots) contain amygdalin, that is transformed to hydrocyanic acid (amongst others), which is also in bitter almonds, that have been used to make marzipan when sweet almonds were too expensive (it's then called Persipan) so it makes absolute sense you thought of marzipan with the cherry perfume 😊
I love your perfume videos! I'm starting a savings right now for some new scents!! 😍 Thank you
I got tangerine boy and I love the punch of citrus.
Yayyy a perfume video!! Love hearing your thoughts. Looking forward to a full collection video soon 👀💕. Sending good vibes for the puppers.
Love your comments on the fragrances.
I cant wait to smell this one+
I love perfume videos. Its always fun to learn about new scents and why someone likes them!
Angel’s Share reminds me of breakfast in the best way possible. It’s so yummy like cinnamon French toast. When I wear it I feel like I’m eating brunch in a speakeasy 😂
I enjoy fragrance discussions so much, and yours are great. Very lively and specific. Thank you.
Love your descriptions.😁 You have inspired me to explore a new tangent in perfumes - I love the idea of green scents and layering perfumes 💕
Really loving your fragrance content!!
We used to poke dried cloves into our oranges and set them out around Christmastime. They smelled sooo good.
Love your perfume videos! I'm always so interested in what scents other people like 🕵️♀️
I love when Kaysa shows up. She is so cute!
I’ve been loving the Kayali Yum with MFK Amyris Femme. The notes counterbalance each other so nicely ❤❤❤
I just got a sample of ingenious ginger by goldfield and banks. Very interesting scent. It’s growing on me. I love ginger. Please do more perfume videos 😊
I got my sample too and I will say, I enjoy it :)
I love a good perfume video! OMG, I love Byredo Pulp! I never hear anyone talk about it
I was waiting for this review, specifically the yum kayali, I think I'm gonna try it, thanks for the review❤
Yay! Perfume content! I’ll gotten very into perfumes in the last couple of years. ❤
I love Goldfield and Banks. My favourite at the moment is Purple Suede. Their leather fragrances are wonderful. But not just leather, they have so many great ones.
I'm so glad kisa is fine and recoveringxx
i love perfume content, i adore the way people find ways to describe different scents💫💫💫 and your taste is so beautifully unique and interesting!!
I love it when you give us fragrance videos!
I have been on a perfume journey this year. I really like Kayali Citrus. I joined Scentbird and have been enjoying new things. Bergamot seems to be the common denominator in most of the scents towards which I gravitate.
I love your approach to scent! And now there are several perfumes I now want to sample!
Now I know why my Swedish , finish mother always loved Tangerines. Her favorite citrus . We always had them during the holidays.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE!!! So excited!
The Killian Paris Angel Share sounds heavenly 😍😍😍
I also love that fragrance from Killian. They make some beautiful scents.
Yay-a full perfume video!
In Russia we have the "tangerine for the New Years" thing (just because Christmas is not a big deal in Russia unlike the New Years)
I'm desperate to find a perfume that smells like Oahu coconut Sunset from Bath and Bodyworks. Also the Sol Body line from Colourpop is very similar to that. Does anyone know any perfumes like that? Coconut with White tropical flowers, Bergamot and Amber? It's so yummy but the body mist from BBW lasts like half an hour.
Kayali seems like a homerun. I tend to like most of their scents. So happy with that brand.
I’m definitely going to be searching some of these out, thank you for the great detailed descriptions ❤
Okay Updo you’re so beautiful and the eye look breathtaking. I love the color.
In Southern Alabama we grow satsumas (similar to tangerines, more tart) and they're just ripening around the holidays, so I definitely get the citrusy-Christmas association! Everyone I know has at least one satsuma tree (bush) in their yard
You have a beautiful way of describing scents.
