The old tracks and points between the tram stops "Am Lindenwäldle" (Weingarten) and the terminus "Munzinger Straße" (Haid) will be replaced in three construction phases until September 10th. According to VAG, the third and final construction phase started at the beginning of the week. The tracks at the Munzinger Straße crossing around the "VAG-Zentrum" stop on Besançonallee and at the West depot as well as the work in the turning loop on Munzinger Straße will also be replaced. Until September 10, tram line 3 will therefore only run between the stops "Innsbrucker Straße" (Vauban) and "Am Lindenwäldle" (Weingarten) at reduced intervals on the regular line, but will not continue to "Munzinger Straße" but to Rieselfeld Final stop "Bollerstaudenstraße". A rail replacement service runs between "Am Lindenwäldle" and "Munzinger Straße" via "VAG-Zentrum". During the construction work, there will always be temporary restrictions or diversions for car and bicycle traffic and for pedestrians. The VAG advises to avoid the area if possible. Note: Straße is street in English.
Was mir aufgefallen ist, das die GT8N/K und Combino nicht mehr die einzigen sind, die die Linie 1 befahren wie früher. Jetzt alles Kreuz und Quer. Linie 2, 3, 4, 5 und 6 waren eigentlich nur von GT8Z befahren.
