Rush Job Guardrail for Building One

- This was a small rush job in the middle of July. The electric service in the building went down and the repair required a service entrance change for which the provider required a guardrail.
This was measured on a hot Friday afternoon and built over the weekend. I think the install was the following Wednesday. Not super exciting but I think it shows all the parts start to finish of the steps that even a quick little job needs to be completed.
I have been meaning to watch this one since I had watched all of your other videos. Whilst it was a rush job it was a professional product and a just a lot of fun to watch. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Thomas, I’m happy that even the earliest efforts are holding up well enough to make nearly a completely watchable catalog:)
Jake, I'm addicted to all your videos. I've watched them all now. Please keep it up!
I better get busy… :-)
So many little Easter eggs hidden throughout this video. Love that vise stand, the foot pedal on the sander, the swiss army band saw, copper canopy being built, and the whimsical steep roofed building. Not to mention the skills on display make it all look so easy. More of all of it please 👏
Wow, sharp eyes! I had to think back to remember where in the video all that showed up:-) Thanks for tuning back in, It's much appreciated!
So true, there was so much to discover, beneath the nice guardrail job...
😉👍👍
Nothing fancy for YT but I watched and I am subscribed, I used to fabricate handrails and they have to be really perfect, they get seen and touched and if its not pleasing to the eyes someone notices.😮 I used to saw every stick, smooth every weld, paint and install them, and make sure that the welder doesn’t build it backwards, upside down, or both 😂!
Somebody's got to build the Chevys Mark:-)
Appreciate the sub! @@markfish8403
Nice job! Blends right into the building.
Thanks Ray!
Short order fabricator! Good job, nice install!
Came back to re-watch this one to see the copper hood again😃. I used to use one of those RIGID TRISTANDS with the chain vice (decades ago), a really good tool. But I was curious to see if they still made them today. Was pleased to see they do, but you'd need deep pockets to buy a new one! Even the price of a replacement chain for the vise made me and my wallet cringe 💰💰💰
Awesome! they are the handiest tool sometimes. I'm afraid to look and see what they go for now new but I got that one used years and years ago. I'd sure miss it if it dissappeared but I probably wouldn't try to replace it:-)
@@ShredPile So often today we see that many older (used) tools were manufactured to a much higher standard than new kit from the same company. Acquiring older quality tooling (at the right price) is rarely easy, but rewarding when you find them..
@@paulhammond7489 Totally agree, I do collect a few vintage tools but rarely just to display prefering rather to use them as there really is a difference and its always neat to repair something with a tool from the same era.
Nice work nice straight line tip. Thanks
Before the container shed build ?? 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Yup, just some work-work during the summer. The containers just capped off a long spring and summer of home projects and there's more than a few other things that happened along the way:-)
