    I have done the bus everywhere I have been (from Barcelona to San Diego) and always enjoy it. It is an easy and quick way to know the city.

    This is the video that keeps on giving! I know it's a few years old now, but this was super informative! We're first-timers headed in April, and this confirmed that we will definitely spend a day using the hop-on-hop off!

    Will be in Paris next weekend for around 5 hours only. I have booked the bus tour but I was wondering, how long does it take to do a full circle? Say from the opera house all the way around back to the opera house?
    Great video, thanks for sharing!

    Excellent video and very helpful, i have never taken a tour bus before but thinking about doing it in Paris. My question is and i think you mentioned it on your video, i am allowed to get off the bus at certain points for a few mins. and then get back on the bus to the next tourist attraction? just want to make sure. Thank you in advance.

      sa al you can get off at any of the stops, but you will have to wait until the next bus comes (or any thereafter) to get back on. They show up about every 15 minutes or so, but be careful because they stop running around dark. Have fun and let us know how you like it.

    The only pro for me to do this kind of bus tour is to sit on the upper deck and observe the city from a higher point. Only possible on a double decker bus. But again, you have to consider the weather. Only pleasurable on a good clear sunny day

      Juan Zavala we took the metro lots of times and I would say it does a great job of getting you about anywhere you want to go. Plus, it’s inexpensive to take as well. Enjoy your trip to Paris! It’s magnificent.

    Hi, Very useful information for the first time travellers. One question, is it worth to tour through Big Bus if you don't get seat on the roof top. Does one enjoy the tour if the seats available are at ground level?

    • @TheTrentTribe
      @TheTrentTribe  5 років тому +3

      santyns123 it is good at either level. We actually did both. As long as you have the headphones they provide, you will be able to hear the guide and see the sights. Enjoy your trip!

    Going next month and spending 5-6 hrs there. Initially I thought about this tour but being Christmas season I kind of want to see the lights and markets too… I wonder if you would use the bus around dusk to see the lights? 😅

    • @TheTrentTribe
      @TheTrentTribe  Рік тому

      I probably wouldn’t because I think it stops running at dark. You might double check their website. You’ll enjoy it so much either way though. We can’t wait to go back.

    For Arc de Triompe, can you get to the top in an elevator or you must walk up? Did you all go to Montparnasse? I'll be there the end of this month. I can't wait! Thanks for sharing

    • @TheTrentTribe
      @TheTrentTribe  4 роки тому +2

      Winteel you’re going to love Paris! Make sure to get some macaroons while you’re there. So good!
      As far as the elevator goes, pretty sure the elevator goes up part of the way, but not all the way. The arc has a nice visitors area a little over midway and I think that’s where it stops. So even if you don’t get to access the top, it’s worth going for that.
      Also, we didn’t go to Montparnasse. There’s so many things to do and see. We would recommend going to Versailles. That was one of our favorite things to do. The train goes right to it. Plan on the entire day there.

    • @Winteel
      @Winteel 4 роки тому +1

      @@TheTrentTribe Thank You for the kind and friendly response. Versailles is definitely on the list! Do you pay for the elevator?

    • @TheTrentTribe
      @TheTrentTribe  4 роки тому +1

      Winteel not to my knowledge. But after walking up all those steps, we would have probably paid for it. 😂
      We have another video in this playlist that is just about the Arc. Definitely a fun site to stop at and the bus is a great way to get to it.

    Am going in July. Wanted to know how best yo utilize one day pass. In particular; should we stay on and do the full 2 hrs first snd then do the hop on hop by going back to the sites?

    • @TheTrentTribe
      @TheTrentTribe  Рік тому

      We wished we had hopped on and did the full tour first thing, so I’d say yes. That way you get a feel for where things are and how much of a walk it might be and so on. But if you miss the bus or it closes before you’re done, there’s lots more option, like Uber and so on. Enjoy your trip. So much fun.

    I hope I can go on 2022 to Paris and I want to understand how does the hop on hop off bus works. You buy a ticket and is it valid for an entire day? Can I hop on at any bus stop? Does the driver waits for you to take pictures or if I hop off to take a pic I should wait for the next bus to hop on again?

    • @TheTrentTribe
      @TheTrentTribe  3 роки тому +1

      Our pass was good all day. Definitely a great way to get around Paris. Once you get off, unless you get right back on, you have to wait on the next bus to come through. But they run often. They don’t run late at night, so be cautious of that. But we Ubered as well. Tons of good transportation in Paris. We can’t wait to go back again. Great place to visit.

    • @TheTrentTribe
      @TheTrentTribe  5 років тому +3

      Hey. Actually is wasn’t hard at all, especially in the city and primary tourist areas. Most people speak English, so you shouldn’t have any issues. Just in case you do face a challenge, it may be a good idea to have a translation app on your phone, like iTranslate. I’ve used it in a few countries and have found it useful. Either way, have a great time when you go.
