The bottom base needs to be reinforced with a non bending plastic or metal otherwise it will sag as a two sided bag. It looks stable when it is empty, but as one starts to load items on the base starts sagging and does not retain this look.

Just a question. Why did you not make the handle one piece? It would give more support to the bottom and be easier to sew. Is it to cut bulk?

My only guess would be that making the handle one piece would then inherently curve the bottom when you lifted the bag, whereas if the handles are separate, when lifted, the bag will be pulled from each side edge of the bottom, maintaining its shape a little more. At least.. That’s how my brain is envisioning that.

Согласна. Не красиво будет. Хотя... Кому-то может нравится именно так.
Донышко можно сделать вкладное. Для этого в подкладе на дне сделать карман и вложить жёсткую деталь. А можно вшить его. Только жёсткая деталь должна быть тканевая. Плотную ткань, типа джинсы, сложить в 3-4-5 слоев (сколько сможет прострочить машина) и простегать. Чем меньше рисунок стежки, тем жёстче деталь. Форму держит 👍 и стирать можно. Испытано.
