Great video. Looks like a fun time
Lol trying to screen shot the map you posted is above my pay grade. Great video!
I would love yo do a longer trip like this . Me and the wife take our atv to arkansas and ride bee mountain area some . I never know what roads we can ride and what we cant
Great video!! I will be doing parts of this loop for about the 10th time this Memorial Day weekend. Love seeing all of this in the video but really don’t want others to see it because now others will see the beauty of Sxs riding in Arkansas. I like keeping it all secret. 😁
Really good video.
Hey guys, trying to map this out by your route numbers in the video. I have it up to 1400B. After that, I can’t tie it into the rest of the way till Hwy 7. Can anyone provide these or a gpx file?
He has the gpx file located on his Facebook page. Mid-South UTV Trail Riders
1400B > 1427A > 1422 (which is now legal, was a red road last year) > Johnson CoRd 4420/4418 > to AR-21
We didn't get it on camera but we stopped at Red Lick Country Store on AR-21, just in case our gas gauges were not reading correctly. We were 70 something miles in and were only showing a few bars off from the top (knowing a 100 miles = 1 tank of gas) so we topped off to be on the safe side.
I've done this and other rides in the Ozark Nat forest I strongly urge you to get and use Avanza maps
That's right, the Avenza maps by the National Forest Service or you could use the maps I have created using the National Forest maps but with more details on Maprika. We only use Maprika nowadays but used to use Avenza.
How's the cell reception out there? Just was curious if I needed a radio in case of any kind of issue.
You will need radios. The cell service is bad in this area, at least with AT&T.
We staying at Mulberry mountain lounge can you get to these trails without trailering are we allowed to ride out right from the lodge.
Yes, just be sure to follow the legal routes on the Ozark National Forest Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM). Map links are in the description.
What kind of permit or special tag do you have to have to ride in these areas that you ride? I’ve heard different stories from people. Just checking so when I can go ride these areas . Thanks for sharing this video!
Moccasin Gap Trails, Buckhorn Trails, Mill Creek Trails, and Sorghum Horse camp at Mountain Magazine are the only places I know that you have to pay $3 to park or to use the trail system. Everything outside of that is FREE. We are trying to get the state to pass a bill to where you do need a permit to ride and the state splits it with the National Forest offices, but right now it is free, other than the places I mentioned. If you are an Arkansas state resident, you do have to register your OHV at the DMV and you get a yellow sticker to place on your machine, but we are also trying to get that switched to a motorcycle (size/style) plate for residents, but a sticker for state visitors. Right now state visitors just need to show ownership from their state, but no purchase is needed currently in the State of Arkansas.
If your an arkansas resident you need the yellow sticker that you get from the dmv, if your from out of state you don’t need anything.
@@MidSouthUTV For the permit you’re trying to get implemented, I’m assuming you also have a plan on what the funds will be used for. Is there anymore in-depth information on what you’re proposing? I’d love to learn more about the overall plan.
what are the requirements to ride a UTV on the Road in Arkansas?
No requirements, just rules to follow.
Look up under the Arkansas legislation bills from 2018 HB1003 Act 11. There are some changes that could be coming up this session that's going on right now as I'm typing, but nothing has gone through yet.
Wow. crossing those rivers would scare the #### out of me. Would not want to be first vehicle to test the water depth or the current power.
Next time don’t add music, rather listen to wind or machine 😢
Love it can’t wait to try this loop when I get my buggy back 😁
