There are plenty of Fiesta specials still to be looked at. In the mk2 range, we may have had even more, especially elsewhere in Europe, but here in the UK I remember the Dash, Holiday, Fresco, Festival (Tropic Turquoise and Azure Blue, nice colours!), Festival 2, Bonus, Bonus 2, and the super-exciting 1.4 S 'Olympus Sport'. So hopefully there will be lots to look forward to on this excellent channel. And my favourite is the 'Kingfisher' closely followed by the 'Bravo 1', the two-tone paint looks best suited to the earlier 'small-bumper' models I think.
The bravo with a 1.3 engine would have been a nice car. However. I would have considered the supersport which came out in 1980 I think. It would be worth a lot of money today.
Many thanks Stephen for the very comprehensive review of the special editions. My local dealer in London was Fry’s of Lewisham, I used to take the bus on Saturday’s to go and see the Ford showroom, all the salesman knew me as my father had purchased numerous Ford’s from them, so I had a free reign to wander about.
A nice recap of the Fiesta special editions. Personally I think I like the Kingfisher or the Bravo, but all of them are nice. Thanks for sharing this recap.
A great recall of long forgotton Fiesta special editions. I wonder how many of these cars still exist? I've several of these brochures in my collection.
You picked the one I liked. The colour scheme is the same as the sandpiper, a small litoral bird with brown upper plumage and creamy white below. The Ford Fiesta Mk 1 and the Volkswagen Golf Mk 1 were the quintessential seventies small hatchbacks. Simple but elegant styling. The opposite of the hideous hulks that are available these days.
This is bringing back memories for me , my first car was a 1.1 fiesta pop plus in diamond white with grey plastic seats EFX713Y. While we are on the subject have you ever heard of a mk2 vauxhall astra eclipse 3dr 5 speed 1.3 ?. Can't find any information any where .
I have a vague recollection of my school friend's grandparents owning a late mark 1 Fiesta in the 1990s. It had the mark 3 Escort steel wheels. Possibly a Finesse special edition. I think you missed out the mark 2 Fiesta Dash of 1984\5 in white. I recall having a Ford range brochure that included it.
The special edition Fiesta’s shown here have all had a video made - the links to the individual episodes for Fiesta special editions can be found at the end of the video.

I thought the Fiesta Mk2 Firefly was a decent special edition.
Can’t believe Ford are killing off the fiesta
