This is soooo scary. Just yesterday at my local Publix a woman brought in her pet dog (not a service animal) and put the dog in a shopping cart on a questionable blanket. You never know what you are putting your food on and what you're bringing home to your car trunk or backseat, pantry, kitchen table, and refrigerator.
Great point in regards to the basket doggies! Equally significant in this 'post corona era' may be children and infants, both which are known to leak. Right where many place their purses and more intimate purches. Sad, the scientists in video never tested that area! Since coronavirus has arrived I think people need a new stratagy for handling shopping carts. I bring a spray bottle of kitchen counter grade bleach shopping with me. When i arrive i find a stray cart and spray the heck out of it; wait 5 minutes and roll with it. ;-)
I’ve done this from day one. I wrap the handles with 2 Clorox wipes and have a third one to open refrigerator and freezer doors. I don’t trust the stores with their spraying and wiping.
First vid as of late I see covering the matter. Sad, the scientists in video never tested the area where parents seat children and pets - although they refer to it. Since coronavirus has arrived I think people need a new stratagy for handling shopping carts. I bring a spray bottle of kitchen counter grade bleach shopping with me. When i arrive i find a stray cart and spray the heck out of it, paying particular attention to the UNDER side of the handel AND swing-away basket; wait 5 minutes and roll with it. Something also needs to be done at the self checkout lines. Like maybe "Skip bagging' and go directly to bagging in the cart. Unfortunately I can only do this for about 4 items at a time before having to wait for management to intervene
When dining out I always laugh at the notice in the bath room reminding employees to wash their hands befor leaving. It says nothing about washing the door handle after washing their hands, and then rewashing their hands, before leaving!
They need to put the sinks outside of the bathroom so people will be shamed into washing their hands.

Thank for showing this, next time everyone should do this for safety.

Bacteria can grow so quickly
I do it now, walmart has wipes at the door.
Germaphobe so I love seeing stuff like this, it proves the point of why I’m the way I am
For now on I will definitely be using the wipe!
Damn..
My days of going like that and grabbing a cart 🛒 are gone son.....
