Hey Ray. Liking the content you've been putting out. I was wondering if you had considered scripting your thoughts and commentary prior to filming. Your videos are always full of information but your commentary seems a bit scattered at times. This review and your review of the Redcat were a bit difficult to follow. I see that your video style is beginning to resemble Trevor's from Astrobackyard which is great! I look forward to your next videos!

you could not find so much information in all trevors videos like in ray's.i like ray,is always like a story...is like watching you favorit teacher talking about somting mystry and i am always so deep in his storys...thanks ray
I got celestron Travelscope 70 as my fiancé and mother-in-law's Christmas gift. And I'm enjoying it a lot as someone who's in love with the moon. I enjoyed looking and taking photos of the moon.
I just got one of these today.. so much research months and months. Finally,I said forget it, I need some hands on.. got a couple different kinds of scopes, eye peices, set them up. I gotta say, I'm glad I opted for some plossl's. My goal was to eventually work my way to the camera stuff. I stumbled upon your video here, I just wanna say, you are very helpful... Step by step, I appreciate this video..
I purchased this telescope as a package deal (along with a 130 SLT) and am quite satisfied with the image quality. The tripod is extremely light, which is good for travel. The finder isn't that great - I may replace the stock finder with a red dot version. Thanks for your video.
I have 2 of those travel scopes I have had for over 20 years. I have a travel bag and take one on vacation trips, I do bird watching sometimes with one, take one to rifle ranges, and do casual astronomy with one. I would not be without those scopes. Thanks for the video.
Great job. I have advocated that you don't need EXPENSIVE equipment to take a decent pic. I watch Astrobackyard all the time with his $5,000 worth of equipment. I would like to see him take the same set up that's cheap and show folks what can be done. Once you do this they will go bigger and better! Thanks a million.
Just bought this telescope today. Saw Jupiter and it's moons as well as Saturn and it's rings. Extremely small and you need to let your eyes focus but wow. Coolest thing I've ever seen.
I mounted my Celestron 70mm Travel Scope on a Sky Watcher AZ GTi mount and use it for electronic assisted astronomy (EAA) with a SVBONY SV405CC camera.
Hi Ray Very cool to see budget stuff being tested. I'm sure ppl from India, Brazil and other places where an entry level goto mount costs 4 months worth of salary would appreciate more videos like this.
Thanks Rafael! I saw someone talking about this telescope and got curious how and why they have this refractor selling pretty entry level for such a long time!
Just picked this telescope up for my wife and I for a camping trip this weekend. I appreciate the info sir...nicely done! (Hopefully this will let us know if we want to get more involved in this hobby...) unfortunately the moon phase for us this weekend in Arizona shows there won’t be much to see, but hopefully we can find something else to enjoy.
Thank you. I have this one too. My complaint was using the eyepiece is awkward. Your setup is better. Also, I had wobble problems while adjusting alt/az with the tripod. But I am a beginner. I will look for the dslr mount and try again.
The alt/az mount is pretty much usless for astrophotography unless it’s a motorised. This isnt a very great scope due to the mount it comes with,u can try buying a heavy fluid head tripod and it will make it much easier to use but it won’t be anywhere near as good as eq mount.
@@RaysAstrophotography good for you. I can only envy you 😢 as I really can't afford to buy even if it costs low. I will just be contented with your uploads.😊 Thanks!
It's supposed to have quite good optics .I use a much smaller one as my travel scope a 25mm Pocket Borg refractor although with the tripod, eye pieces, star diagonal, etc you would need pretty big pockets to carry it!

Have you tried any dso’s? On a tracker maybe? I am about to try the same set up I use a dslr lens normally but I have one laying around and am very curious.
Hi Sparky, I just bought a tracking Mount skywatcher EZGTI. It is a pretty smile amount but it can track him trying to see if I can use that to take pictures of D so using this telescope
Hi Arvinder! This Travel Scope is good enough on a budget. If you do want to a bigger better one, I love the 14" Orion Dobsonian. ua-cam.com/video/y3hwI4Y6oug/v-deo.html
Thank you for an informative video! Did you shoot the pleiades image untracked? I'm guessing you did because of the short exposures. What camera did you use? Does it have a full frame sensor?
@@RaysAstrophotography Sorry but according to the video you used a DSLR for pleiades. (I guess the one from 9:14) The asi 120mc is an astronomy camera. So witch one is it?

But I was planning to buy a 4mm piece to get a 100x magnification.
Like since I'm still a newbie I'll stick with this telescope as it serves my purpose and it's very handy as well.
I'm just wondering if I can use Sbony's 4mm eyepiece ? since it's much cheaper than the celestron omni 4mm eyepiece..
Be sure to get you some moon filters if you do not have any. It will be better for your eyes.

Does your mount keep moving a lot due to the cameras weight?
Yes. These small mounts cannot hold any weight.
