You guys are so respectful of the energy in this space, thank you for sharing it with us. It feels like someone’s Nana and Papa lived here after the kids grew up, and then maybe just one of them after a while. Sort of getting the feeling that their grown children aren’t around anymore either, I can’t imagine just leaving the house to decay like this.
This was my initial thought, but then I remembered I have family that locked up grandparent's house and won't let anyone in and it's decaying just as it was when they were alive just like this.
You might want to start wearing a paint mask or some sort of air filtration mask when going through these abandoned houses due to all of the black mold and not to mention that insulation could contain asbestos which can cause cancer later in life especially when inhaled. Just an FYI.
I am actually really surprised this house is holding up this well! A couple things… “I’ve never seen a tv with dials on it” made me feel really old. Those glasses and cups are soooo cool. And finally… I subscribed! This stuff fascinates me. Keep it up!
Wow, great explore! Reason why the brown fridge wasn't used was because it's not frost free. My grandmother had an old freezer from the 1970s that she used for storage and mainly because she didn't feel like chiseling ice out of it. I loved seeing those old TVs, that old lawn mower, old cars, old food, shaving stuff and the old glasses/cups! That can of English Leather Shave Cream has got to be rare. The old black and white baby pictures would probably be of the little girl who grew up's mother or father. Can't wait to see the other house! Hard to believe that they had two. Must have been loaded at one time.
I was a teen in the 80s and this house has 80s vibes, if this house is in New York they could have passed in the world trade center cause some stuff was early 00s ,thanks for the respect for the belongings and I respect that from you 🤙✌️
Another UA-camr explored this exact same house, but the video was taken down for some reason. I remember they even listened the answering machine in the kitchen and there was still a message on there from the daughter!
We call them junk drawer( in the kitchen). My grandmother had a fridge she used for gardening stuff she had batteries too. I am 52. A lot u are seeing is 70, 80 and 90s stuff. That girl could around my age just looking at her hair and clothes
Recently and literally stumbled across your channel searching for abandoned radio stations and I have to say the one you did about a month ago was awesome. I'll not mention, as I do know where said station is, but you guys did a great job. Keep it up and thank you for taking us on your adventures.
Good stuff guys, I remember Pathmark and A+P supermarkets, Ames, and been to wrestling matches @ the Old Philly Spectrum, found a few ticket stubs from 1980, in a storage bin, like opening a time capsule, yes, I’m kinda old, haha, almost 60 but I certainly don’t act like I’m 60, and, saw that old bottle of Genny Cream Ale, of which I still drink today, have 1 can of it chilling in my fridge! It’s very odd seeing all of these abandoned houses, with everything still left behind, you would think the Grandkids would have sold it, after the Grandparents passed away, who can understand why? Very strange, alright now, stay safe out there, Happy Urbexing!
1989,1990 and 2004 and 2006 stuff this was definitely grandmas house or something. It would be nice if you guys told a story about the locations you go to because idk why they would just pick up and leave like this
I saw that video. They think it was the girl in the picture leaving a message for her mother. The message was from 2008 because there was something playing in the background on her TV that indicated it while she was leaving the message
Great video! There was another Vid by the same location a couple years back when the house had power. the 2 explorers found a message by an answer machine with the girl’s name “Diane” leaving a message to her mom.
I remembered that other video from a different UA-camr, and I realized that this was the exact same house just a few seconds into the video! I also wondered why the other video disappeared.
Fun fact about food packaging for you all, if something doesn’t have a barcode, it is Pre-1982, and if it doesn’t have an expiration date it’s probably pre 1970. But often times it’s referred to as “Sell Buy” as well. Also I kinda wonder if the original owner passed away in 1998 and someone was squatting there in the early 2000s because for being abandoned since 2004, it’s in really good shape. (I’m saying 2004 because food usually has a 2 year expiration date, the newest you found was 2006 so it would be around 2004 it went abandoned)
I was born in 2008 and when I was in a hotel when I was 3 there was one of those box tvs that you had to turn a knob to change the channel or buttons labeled as numbers
Real TV.....had to go outside and aim the antennea just right....No remote and only 3 channels!! Wow have we come a long way in such a short time......1974 Chevy Vega
It’s cool to see the food-and to see what we’ve lost. A&P has been gone for a long time! The house appears to be a split level. And the dial on the tv is familiar to me! The remote was you got up and turned the dial. Very cool find-and so intact as far as no graffiti or vandalism.
After some searching, the wrestling photos are from a WWF house show at the Philadelphia Spectrum in, as you said, 1986. There's video of the match from the photos here on UA-cam.
I have the same countertops, drawers and handles, stove and range hood in my kitchen right now. Also the same window placement. Almost identical set up as my kitchen! My home was built in 1978.
The television in the kitchen (small white) that is black & white had that TV, had a headphone jack too. Sattelite television used to be free if you had large dishes.📺📡 (c-band)
Excellent coverage on your videos as abandoned places have so much curiosity...history and personality. The only thing I could think of to add is maybe some disposable gloves and if possible some 3M filter masks...for your safety...black mold...rodents carry viruses that affect the lungs through their poop among other hidden crap that could pose health risks. Keep up the excellent work your vids are popping up all the time...Cheers guys
That mold and ceiling damage looks like a result of lack of a gutter and roofing damage. I can hear the hwy in part of your tour. Must be close to something.
Me heart was stolen by that strawberry shortcake blanket. It was just so beautiful I wish you guys had spent a minute just on the blanket. I would've not been able to leave it behind if I were there and that me friends would make me a terrible urban explorer because we all know you're not supposed to take stuff from the explorers. But this blanket obsessed blanket baby would have broken that rule. Great explore, the house is definitely a time capsule 😂 38:22
It creeped me out a little. It was grandpa’s room. But it looks like he likely lived there until the 2000’s. I find it all strange. All the 80’s curtains, etc. and photos. So much is oddly mysterious at first glance.
@@KMWeir yes I was trying to figure out if it was grandpa room what was with the strawberry blanket and butterfly bedspread. It was very strange I agree. Also all the expired food in the cabinets like if he lived there til the early to mid 2000s why was there food from the 90s? Definitely a strange situation.
I've seen this house on another UA-cam channel. It's in Pennsylvania and it's been abandoned since 2006. There was also a voice message on the answering machine.
