Thanks so much for posting this. One of the marks of great literature is how good (well?) it sounds when read out.

Good : adjective describing the noun- literature
Well: adverb describing the verb - read.

Wharton’ s talent , though formidable, deals mostly with the class whose dramas don’t resonate or find sympathy with most of us peasants

There are stories such as Jacob's Room and others inspired by personal struggles, grief, etc. Which are universal human issues.

Those are just the circumstances. We are all humans affected in various ways.

And have you noticed how people love to watch movies with incredibly talented, strong, and physically attractive people living lives we never will? The skill and beauty and penetrating of her writing is what we value. You can read Alice Munro if you want. She writes equally and unusually well with great penetration about ordinary people in western Ontario near Lake Huron.

Edith Wharton's acerbic comment on popular artists is shockingly accurate. Who determines taste?

The reader and the art is created through artificial intelligence. This channel exclusively uses AI

I usually avoid this channel for that reason. Doing an actor out of a job. And the syntax can be completely wrong. Especially W Somerset Maughams work.
