@ItsTiaBabii thanks but my hair isnt basically 'full black hair', it wasnt really shown in its totally natural state so you cant tell! It is not the tightest curl, its my hair so I would know! x
Also shampoo is important to the health of your hair as the wrong type can dry your hair out and leave it feeling rough and hard (I'm speaking as a black girl). Herbal Essences have sulfates in them which are drying. You should switch to a sulfate free shampoo. Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo is a good one. Not sure if they sell it in the UK but you will see a a big difference in your hair when used along with your treatment/conditioner.
I think all your videos are helpful and interesting, and I don't understand why there would be any controversy about your hair... It's ridiculous! Keep doing what you're doing because you've got tones of people that love your channel and would never want it to change! I think you're one of the most personable and genuine youtubers out there!
Have you heard of Deva products? They're based out of NYC but they're products for naturally curly hair. I don't know if they are sold in beauty stores outside of the US at this point, but if you can get your hands on them, I really recommend them if you want to wear your hair in its naturally curly state. They're good for hair that has just a slight wave all the way to African hair. You can even search for their videos on youtube. Also, the products are VERY moisturizing and cut down on frizz.
i have that pink heat protectant serum and i got really happy because i never have the things that people show in youtube videos omg your hair looks nice by the way
you should REALLY try garnier's deep conditioner.. it's in like a tub... most of garnier's hair products aren't that amazing but the deep conditioner has completely changed the texture of my hair!! makes it sooo soft!!
You should try Paul Mitchel Super Skinny serum, its in a clear and green bottle. Im a hair stylist and i use it on all my clients, makes their hair super soft and shiny!
I have biracial hair and honestly I think its really cool. I don't have to do anything extra to it besides an occasional combing and some leave in conditioner. Moroccan oil is great, but my favorite thing to do is heated olive oil treatments(best thing in the world for ethnic hair I swear)
Hey Sam :) lovely video !! I just wanted to comment on one of the reasons for the dryness of Afro-textured hair. Well because the hair is extremely coily or kinky it very difficult for the natural oils from our scalp to go down the hair shaft making it very dry. & also because of the tight coils the hair is very fragile, which is the reason why it breaks so easily. So probably if your dealing with dryness , you could try using a pre-shampoo treatment so that the shampoo doesn't completely stri
i honestly love your videos, you are one of my favourite fashion and makeup guru's, i love your hair, you are gorgeous and remind me of alisha from misfits, your fashion sense inspires me!
I haven't tried the CHI heat defense spray but I have tried the silk infusion and I really like it. it really helps when my hair doesn't want to act right and makes it flow :)
I'm sooo happy you made this! I'm basically the same as you. I'm mixed race (Half bajon half irish) and my hair is like yours. It's tight curls but not full Afro hair curly. xx
@jeaniebaby93 honestly, its her decision. I am mixed, and no i do not wear weave, but it doesnt matter. You dont know how her hair is. Not all mixed girls have luscious curls. Some obtain more African - American hair, and some dont. Just dont say black girls are " white " washed. Maybe they want to have thin hair. Because believe me, anyone with African American hair gets tired of their thick hair.
you guys need to shut up about her race! so what if she's of a different race, she's helping people with thick/coarse/curly hair like hers?! just because she doesn't have the same hair as yours, doesn't mean she still can't make hair videos! grow up! ignore everyone sammi, i love your videos! please don't stop making them!xxx
Great video! I like how you explain the products and how you feel about them.. Don't let people that are unhappy with their own lives get you down they are not worth it.. Happiness comes within!
I LOVE you Sammi. Love your channel. Don't let the ignorant haters get you down. I like this video. It is interesting to find out what products other people use on their hair. Everybody's hair is different. Trial & error determines what is best for each individual. People will always have varying opinions about hair care. I am sad to read about people who say african or black hair is difficult. This shows they have not educated themselves about how 2 take care of their hair or love their hair.
This is going to sound really random and unrelated, but what tattoo shop do you get yours done in? I only ask because i live around the same area, and have been to grasshoppers before which you mentioned previously that youd got a piercing in, so just wondered cos your tatts are really nicely done :) xx
Also the chi 44iron guard is crap in my opinion. Alterna products are amazingggg! The caviar shampoo rocks too. I do hair and I work at Armstrong McCall (a supply store for licensed cosmetologists) I think you know your hair better than anyone and you know what works for you! You go girl!
I've been really enjoying your videos lately! You seem more confident... I don't know, maybe you're just happy or something. But you definately seem more natural, more yoursel! I don't know how to explain. But it's a good thing! It's a charisma I think :-)
i use the same shampoo and conditioner. the hello hydration. it is good! :) I am black white and italian and my hair is really long and curly and it works pretty good. i just usually use the 2n1 and then another diff conditioner.
Love your videos sammie , keep doing what you're doing there's always gonna be someone who is going to say something negative , they are the one with the issues :) I love your necklace :)
Sammy! I saw on your twitter that you received some "cone high" studs, and I've been looking for them everywhere ad I can't seem to find them! Pleeease tell me where you bought them please :)
I love your black leather RockIt belt! but i can't find it on the website :( please could you send me the link if it's on the website? :) thank you xxx
@Yasii1 If you google Guyanese people most of them look Indian and African...and it also says that a large percentage of Guyanese people are of African descent...just because her Dad is Guyanese does not mean he is not black...there are black Brazilians that call themselves Brazilians because they were born there.
@NappyCrafty sorry it doesn't say it on her youtube page but in her video she says her dad is from Guyana, her mom is British and she also has some Chinese...
Hey I don't have Afro Caribbean hair but I do have really frizzy hair naturally, will my hair do the same kind of thing with sucking up all the moisture from oils? Because if it will I will buy more oil products, I have just always been so weary about them making my hair look greasy ha ha . Thank you for this video :) xxx
@SammisGayyy thats interesting because all hairdressers I and all my friends and family know use GHDs. Dont like them, dont use them, dont have to comment.
@the1lique both, but I dont use finishing sprays in my natural hair x
@elylaloka1 Put it on like overnight or when damp and naturally drying, not just before heat styling! x
@sunshinelovee18 lol, noo its just the camera & lighting, theyre always green!
@lorrybum I know!! xx
@ItsTiaBabii thanks but my hair isnt basically 'full black hair', it wasnt really shown in its totally natural state so you cant tell! It is not the tightest curl, its my hair so I would know! x

@crazed4lena not when you are british! little tip :p
@dyschickaqt yes she is!
Your an honest guru. I like that. Some gurus are out for money and try to talk up the products to get endorsements. You don't- it's refreshing
sam i love how you do ootds at the end of every video. seriously, really appreciate it! you the best c: xx
@lisachasez13 i knowww! lol thank u =]

I looooved when you had really highlighted hair, like really blonde tips, it looked goooorgeous with your skin tone.
I think all your videos are helpful and interesting, and I don't understand why there would be any controversy about your hair... It's ridiculous! @FashionableMKPlover haha ive heard it this many times, it makes me wonder do I act like a kid? lol =/
morrocan oil is great for extensions too ! It stops them from frizzing and helps them keep their shine ! :) xx

Gorgeous, as always! Wow, you weren't kidding when you said hair is a touchy subject on your channel. Lovely necklace and jumper too! xo
I like argan oil it makes your hair so soft and healthy!!
Glad to see a hair video! used to love your make up and hair talk vids feel like watching them again now! xx
Morrocan oil, fantasia, joico (silk result), all in my room lol, but I use the morrocan oil mostly on my weave...congrats on graduating! x
It's tight curls but not full Afro hair curly. xx
Idk if you've ever tried this but R&B leave in hair conditioner from Lush is AMAZING!!!! Its great for keeping your hair healthy. just a suggestion :)
Maybe they want to have thin hair. hey Sammi! are you growing your hair out so you can wear it without a weave?
I couldn't even tell your hair wasn't 'your own hair' it looks so lovely!
xxx
You are seriously my favourite beauty guru, I've been watching your videos for as long as I can remember. You're so gorgeous too! :) xx
you guys need to shut up about her race! so what if she's of a different race, she's helping people with thick/coarse/curly hair like hers?! just because she doesn't have the same hair as yours, doesn't mean she still can't make hair videos! grow up!

I LOVE you Sammi. Love your channel. Don't let the ignorant haters get you down. I like this video. It is interesting to find out what products other people use on their hair. you should do a christmas day outfit/idea's for this christmas, i have no idea what clothes to get!
@xxhaleyrawrx thank you!!
They sell Chi Heat Protectant in Sally's. There's one by Shaftesbury Avenue in Piccadilly Circus :)
@ElizaBronte yes but the other person was saying you could just get top ones, which you cant, there is only one type.
Have you tried Aussie Miracle Moist shampoo? I think they are good
@qeminibaee you obviously weren't paying much attention...she said her natural curl pattern was damaged because she often straightens it!! =)
This is going to sound really random and unrelated, but what tattoo shop do you get yours done in? I only ask because i live around the same area, and have been to grasshoppers before which you mentioned previously that youd got a piercing in, so just wondered cos your tatts are really nicely done :) xx
@HEYimBIANCA yes they are, she said in a previous video that they are :) x
Please can you do a tutorial on how you curl your hair?!?!

I use lee stafford products and they are really good:) have you ever tried them?

Also the chi 44iron guard is crap in my opinion. Alterna products are amazingggg! The caviar shampoo rocks too. I do hair and I work at Armstrong McCall (a supply store for licensed cosmetologists) I think you know your hair better than anyone and you know what works for you! You go girl!
I like how you have your hair. I been watching for a while and I think it suits your style. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise :)
@Sashafi1 well argan oil is better cos its the pure oil.. moroccan just contains it, amongst other ingredients
what liquid eyeliner do you use? :) love your videos! much love X

@Yasii1 If you google Guyanese people most of them look Indian and African...and it also says that a large percentage of Guyanese people are of African descent...just because her Dad is Guyanese does not mean he is not black...there are black Brazilians that call themselves Brazilians because they were born there.
