This is a simple version of Asam Pedas, known as Asam pedas rebus.
Previous video was from southern part of Malaysia and this is from northern part of Malaysia, my hometown, Kedah :D.

Resipi untuk Asam Pedas
4 atau 5 ketul ikan pari
4 ulas bawang merah
2 batang serai
3 keping asam gelugor
5 biji cili kering di basuh dan di rendam
1 sudu besar serbuk belacan
2 sudu kecil garam
5 - 8 biji kacang bendi
daun kesum

Asam Pedas Recipe
4 to 5 pieces of skate fish
4 shallots
2 lemongrass stalk
3 tamarind slices
5 dried chillies - wash and soak
1 tablespoon shrimp paste (in granules form)
2 teaspoon salt
5 to 8 ladies fingers
Vietnamese mint
Ginger torch flower
